The thread itself is safe. Some of the links within are not. We need to remember to comment when posting NSFW links that they are so that way people don't click on them at work, but for now that will work. I think when I have some time, I do some testing with CNHF 2.5 to check its vanilla friendliness, since it seems to be getting the most praises out of them.

Consistent Older People may have issues with the majority of these mods.
-
Maybe, but there is a reason as to why they're not Core now. I'm not sure what that/those reasons are; however, it could be as simple as no Core mods need them...yet.

I've never finished it actually. The last book took so long to come out that to enjoy it properly I need to reread the first few books. However, I'm currently reading the last book released in the Mortal Instruments series so it'll be a good while before I can finish those books. (i pray they remake the movie, make all of them and don't completely botch them this time)

Please note that if UNPB is the favored choice it would also require XP32 Maximum Skeleton and FNIS be moved to Core as well...which could lead to even more incompatibilities with Packs. I really don't think it's a good choice; however, let see how the coins fall.

I'm the same way. I do it all but usually very focused interests. Only a few TV shows: Game of Thrones, Supernatural, etc. Only fantasy books: Inheritance Cycle, Harry Potter, Mortal Instruments. Anime is all over the place but I don't enjoy mechas that much and games are only ones with good story lines. I find it difficult to play a game without a good story.

It might suit my taste, but CNHF 2.5 also suits STEP better because it is closer to vanilla than UNPB (speaking of meshes not textures). So I'm mainly grading from that point and not my personal tastes...even though they are matching up at the moment. :: The fact that UNPB makes the characters shorter is a bit of a concern for vanilla compatibility. Ultimately the power modders are going to use whatever they like (remember STEP is only a guide not a bible that has to be followed). The newer or less experienced modders will probably just use whatever STEP recommends. Therefore, I hear your concerns you stated above, but they're not really an issue. The same can said for Better Males which has already made it into STEP.

@Tarikko1, Yours may be your CPU too. Those CPUs are older and were mainly developed for servers rather than desktops. I've explained this before but Westmere's were originally targeted to server implementations rather than desktops. There were a few offshoots that Intel aimed towards the desktop market as a marketing ploy for the fastest at the time. In truth they were; however, only a year later Intel released the Sandy Bridge-E processors which over took them at stock speeds. Each generation since has been better than those remarketed Westmere i7s at stock. And even at when overclocked, it started to make less of a difference with Ivy Bridge. I don't know if those numbers are with or without ENB, but if they're without then my i5 Haswell (stock) and GTX 760 (stock) is getting better frame rates than your oc'ed Westmere and GTX 780 combo. If that is with ENB...well, I haven't installed an ENB to know what performance I get there.

I'm completely hooked on CNHF 2.5. The author did a great job achieving what he/she set out to do. She really looks like a woman that is Dragonborn. A fighter that is honed in the skill of combat and could take on a dragon, yet still keeping her feminine qualities. The others look too feminine to be a combatant that is strong enough to wear the armors in the game and still be able to fight. CNHF 2.5 is very Nord like.

OP updated with compares so go to the OP to see them now. UNPB added. UNPB makes the ladies shorter and petite...as with CNHF 1.0, I'm not sure of it's vanilla compatibility because of this change. That is a whole different park because we'd have to find one that fits over all the replacers without issues; everything from vanilla to CNHF to UNPB. As you can see the meshes are quite different on a few so I doubt there is a one-size-fits-all texture to do that.
-
No go... UNPB is crashing the game every time with Neo's recommendations as well. Even with nothing active but that mod in my vanilla profile. Deactivate the mod and it's fine. Start a new game and it's fine. Activate the mod and load a previous save=CTD every time. EDIT: Scratch that. FNIS wasn't active in my vanilla profile. It's working now. I'll have the compares up shortly...was unsure if I needed to install the skin texture for UNPB so I just did it as I did for the others.

Must be something in SE:LE that causes the FPS loss because with STEP:Extended it's a silky 60FPS almost everywhere for me. I'm running an Intel Core i5 4670K.

There are two "Safe for Work" patches that adds the bras. One is for A cup size (that is in the pictures) and the other is for D cup size. I figured the A cup would be closer to vanilla and less likely to clip. These women's weight is in the center of the bar. They could go a skinnier or bigger. From what I can tell you only have the two choice as for as breast size; however, I can double check when I get home from work.

I was going to include UNP Blessed Body; however, it's causing a CTD when activated and loading any of my saves. I find this odd because it's only meshes and textures. It did work when stating a new game; however, that's a deal breaking if installing the mod will require starting a new game. EDIT: So far I agree with the above. XCE is causing a terrible greying of the skin. CNHF 2.5 is my favorite out of all and it should be compatible with some skin replacements if we don't like the default.
-
Ok, so I gathered some compares of the mods mentioned to be compatible with vanilla (or possibly). I know that CNHF is quite smooth and more pale but keep in mind the skin texture can be switched out on most models. Please note that nothing was changed besides the female meshes and texture between these shots. COMPARES REMOVED....please forgive. The images were deleted from the host. After seeing these compares, I'm not so sure CNHF 1.0 looks like it'll be vanilla friendly. That is a big change from the default mesh. If there is a mod you'd like added to the compares that is vanilla friendly please post with a link and I'll see about updating the compares. EDIT: Updated with CNHF 2.5 because the author replied and said it's mostly compatible. Any of these will require some bit of testing though. EDIT2: UNP Blessed Body not include as it causes CTD when loading and previous saves. Works fine when starting a new game, but if that is a requirement it's a deal breaking requirement for STEP.

ACCEPTED Better Shaped Weapons - BSW (by masterofshadows and LeanWolf)

Nope, used the integrated installer. -
I've spent several hours browsing through Nexus for something that would fit into STEP. I've found: Prometheus: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/7198/ (Basic but better than vanilla) CNHF 1_0: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/34213/ (We'd only use the mesh and possibly the skin texture. I've contact this author to see if this is 100% vanilla compatible. Just waiting on a reply.) All UNP and CBBE bases that I've found thus far are not vanilla compatible and require altered clothing and armor. I'd have to contact the author of UNP Blessed Body to find out if it is or not but being based on UNP, my logic tells me it is not compatible either.
-
Pormetheus does seem like a good option. I'm also exploring another option and am just waiting on the author's reply to see if he's replacement is 100% vanilla friendly.

it would be nice if the author would include some descriptions in the fomod. -
I think user preference until someone complains that we haven't given them direction (because someone will eventually). They're only textures, so it's not going to matter too much.

I agree. Your choices look good to me but one question. Why would we skip Skyforge swords? -
This right here! I completely agree. As well as CJ's and root's points above. We didn't have to add in several other mods to keep Better Males compatible with clothing and armors and jewelry and capes and superhero outfits. The only way I can see STEP adopting a female replacer is if this remains true for that replacer as well. We need to aim for a female replacer which is vanilla friendly that doesn't require several custom armor and clothing mods just to keep it compatible. It needs to be compatible with vanilla everything and that has been the point I've been trying to make with this thread and challenging the mods chosen... which are not compatible with vanilla meshes at all.

I too have a GTX 760 4GB VRAM. What resolution are you running at and what are you considering unacceptable? Currently I'm running at 1920x1080 with a full STEP:Extended install and rarely go below the capped 60FPS. So I'm curious how your frame rate would be unacceptable.

MSVCP110.dll missing error prevents running DDSopt

Trying downloading and installing the x86 version (32bit) of MS Visual C++ -
That's not confusing and conflicting information at all: Haha! I downloaded the mod and it would appear there is an optional folder with vanilla option replacers in it. Sooo...you are correct...it would seem. I'm waiting on Z to toss in his two cents before acting on anything here...just to let everyone know.
