  1. Thanks for the input Neo. +rep Sir :) I didn't update my game yet and I haven't got time to do a clean install at the moment. I have another problem - potions/bombs hotkeys stopped working in radial menu, no idea why. The Change Mode (Potions/Bombs) and Show Active Effects hotkeys work fine. I'm puzzled. Investigating. Did anyone else come across this?
  2. DO NOT UPDATE THE GAME TO VERSION 1.10.0 Warning: Game version 1.10.0 introduced a bug that prevents some mods from this guide from working. Under investigation.
  3. That's what worries me, loads of work ahead! :D
  4. Will do, and ditto - same name.
  5. Ah, that's a good point. I'll need to update the guide for 1.10... Dammit! :D Yeah, I'd hold off then as there'll definitely be changes after the patch!
  6. Just downloaded the Beta. Won't be playing until the weekend probably.
  7. You can install it at any point, including after completing the main quest. Couple of mods would be useless (Triss outfit for example), but in general everything should be working perfectly fine :)
  8. Neither do I. I definitely want to play this game, but at the same time I invested peanuts in it and I have no emotional/nostalgia ties to it. If it fails... Meh, I'd lost 5 quid. It could actually be good for crowdfunding scene, as backers could become more aware and careful of what they're throwing their money at, which could in effect result in developers (and potentially other types of businesses) be more mindful of what they promise and how much money they want for their projects. *Shrug* See what happens... The whole thing is just entertainment really. Add Derek Smart to the equation and it becomes a good sitcom ;)
  9. Very interesting what will CIG present at Citizen Con. The recent drama with Escapist cause quite a chaos in the community. Robert's response to Escapist was plain shocking, ridiculous even... They have a lot to prove to the community now (apart from a certain number of the hard core believers who still happily throw money at them... ;) ).
  10. Ah, ok - a misunderstanding then :) No worries then, glad I was able to help!
  11. Huh? I didn't mean anything bad man... Just trying to help.
  12. No worries. You don't have to reinstall the whole game. Just rename Mods folder to something else (for example: _Mods) and create a new, empty Mods folder. Rename user.settings, input.settings and mods.settings to something else and then start the game. It will load up with no mods and it will recreate the default setting files. See if your problem still persists. If it's still there - and I'm improvising here - it probably means the save file is bugged and I'd suggest loading earlier saves one by one until you find one without the bug. Then you can maybe follow the guide and don't install any extra mods ;)
  13. So you followed my guide and then installed the enemy scaling mod on top of it, yes? Assuming that this is actually the case: Try adding this to the mods.settings file: [modNameOfTheEnemyScalingMod] Enabled=0 Priority=0 This will disable the mod without uninstalling it. See if you the issue persists. If so - it is this mod that causes the problem and I don't think I'll be able to do much, as I don't use it. You can: and see if any scripts from that mod conflict with any other ones. If so, you can try using Script Merger to create a patch, but bear in mind that you will only need to merge my modAMP and the enemy scaling mod (as modAMP already contains all the others mods merged). Don't forget to then add this new merged patch entry into mods.settings with priority 1 (and shift all the other ones up 1 priority).
  14. OK, with point 2. I meant if you installed any mods that are not in the guide, for example some level scaling mods or enemy difficulty mods or something similar. Anything that is not in the guide and could affect the enemy health. Are you sure the enemies are not just way above your level and you simply are unable to deal enough damage to them?
  15. Hi there. I never came across this. 1. Did you follow the guide to the letter? 2. Have you got any extra mods installed that are not part of the guide? 3. Did you use any console commands in game that could potentially cause this? 4. Which monsters are affected? 5. Does reloading the game help?
  16. Sorted now. Active Witcher Zoom stays at version 4.0 for now. It works fine and reading the mod notes the whole mod was redone from scratch. I don't have enough time to properly look into updating it, as it would require removing old edits from the patch files and replacing them with new ones... I'll get to it at some point probably, as the new camera settings mean I'd be also able to remove Close Cam mod. 17. Hey there. Sorry for a late reply. I'm looking into updating this mod to the latest version, watch this space.
  18. I'll be definitely getting a set. I've had a chance to play a bit of Elite Dangerous on the current Oculus Rift incarnation and it's a jawdropping experience. It really is amazing. I won't even try to describe it, as it's not really possible without trying it on, but look around you NOW and imagine you're surrounded by the HD quality computer graphics... If it's going to cost around 200-300 GBP, I don't think it's a bad deal, even if it only be usable for some games. Hell, I'd buy it for use with ED only :) It's already being used to deliver a 3D sport spectator experience etc. In-home VIP seats? It's already happening. I know that some companies already work on movies in VR technology where you, as a viewer, are "inside" the movie and you can look around the whole scene. A subtle techniques are used to divert your attention where it's needed at times, but otherwise you're just free to look around freely. I think it'll be the future of entertainment, but there is a chance that it'll end up like the 3D technology...
  19. No problem, glad you sorted this out and are enjoying the modded game :)
  20. OK, check that you have no duplicate folders in Mods directory now. Also, in NMM check if you have 2 versions of the same mod installed at the same time (for example old and new). Do you use any extra mods that are not in the guide. Reinstalling all the mods may be quicker than troubleshooting this issue indeed. What you can do is uninstall them ALL in Nexus Mod Manager (don't delete), then go to Mods folder and delete all that's left in there and then reactivate all the mods in NMM. This should help.
  21. It's been playing for the last few days... Browsing and downloading was OK, but anything up - comments, file uploads etc. seems to be broken, on and off, at the moment...
  22. Thanks for the corrections, I'll look into it! Hm... For starters: - Which game version are you running? - Is your mods.settings file in the same folder as user.settings, input.settings and savegames? - Check if you have any duplicate mod folders in your Mods directory Sure you can. I would suggest manually editing out the mods you don't want from the relevant script(s) of AMP mod, especially for PlayerWitcher.ws and r4player.ws - and then manually merging the ones you want in. Script Merger won't handle merging all the mods that are included in the guide (I tried it once) - there are some overlapping changes that require manual merging and editing the scripts.
  23. Neo, how about when I already have NMM installed and handling the links? Is there a way to sort it out?
