SKYRIMLE Real Shelter - Full Release (by Robinsage)
MadWizard25 replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
The rapture happens. This mod causes CTD on savegame load for me. Load order makes no difference. Ah well. -
Thanks! ExpandSystemMemoryX64=true definitely crashes my skyrim, much like a missing master CTD. Changing other values makes no difference. Quick search of ENB forums shows I'm not alone with this type of CTD. I guess its my mod setup somehow

Is it not normal for skyrim that screenshots are darker than in game brightness? I have experienced this with skyrims screenshot capability, steams, and SMAAs screenshot ability.

SKYRIMLE Real Shelter - Full Release (by Robinsage)
MadWizard25 replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Hmmm. Well as long as it doesnt crash the game, I might as well try it like you did. If it gets to weird Ill just revert to pre test save and remove the mod. Ive never actually been to dawnstar, didnt even know it existed Ill coc there asap for weirdness threshold testing! -
Phew, thanks for the info keithinhanoi. Didnt expect something so complete or in depth I will try with X64 set to true again, while altering other values. Mind you I run the enblocal.ini file provided by RealVision ENB, so I have yet to test the default 0.252 version. I did get crashes with 1.7 skse and X64 set to true (crash at load save game), but that was with all other settings at default. However, I did find a post on the ENB forums where there was a complaint about the same problem. Boris posted that it was an incompatibility. Unfortunately, he did not clarify if it was a universal issue, or something due to specific system/ mod setups, as you have posited. If you want I can try to find the source, since Its possible i mis-remembered. Ill get into some extensive testing later. As to the 4GB VRAM usage. It puzzles me slightly. I DDSopted everything to 2k, except for exterior normals which were optimized to 1k. I do run an extremely heavy mod setup though. Im talking 600 mod installs, with 350 plugins (huge merge amount). I suspect it has to do with so many additional exterior NPCs and spawns, as well as ugrids being set at 7. All that plus the performance ENB from Real Vision. So generally; X64 set to true Reserved set to 256/ 512 MemorySize set to 10240 (4GB VRAM + 8GB RAM) Compression set to true or false. I should also mention im using Win 8.1 x64, with beta Update 1 installed. I know Win 8.1 and the latest update 1 handle memory a whole lot differently than win 7. By default my win 8 uses more RAM than win 7. Perhaps this also makes a difference.
-
Interesting. A few questions; 1. Have you found any significant differences with EnableCompression set to false? 2. Im running skse 1.7 alpha. With ExpandSystemMemoryX64 set to true, skyrim crashes for me. Boris did say that this was a compat issue, and hes not fixing it. Do you run skse 1.7, and if so, how are you avoiding the crash? 3. You mention upping ReservedMemorySizeMb higher if you have limited VRAM. By limited VRAM do you mean purely in regards to your computer, or in regards to Skyrim? I have 4GB VRAM, which I would not call limited in regards to computers. However, in Skyrim exteriors i frequently hit my VRAM limit, so it could be limited in regards to Skyrim.

SKYRIMLE Real Shelter - Full Release (by Robinsage)
MadWizard25 replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Has anybody tried this with ETaC? I know they are not technically compatible but im sure a large majority of shelters must be available right? Hardcore frostfall + requiem makes this mod very tempting as fighting with debuffs in cold with rain or snow in requiem is deadly. Would be nice to have some dry shelter -

Its really really easy to fix though. Just follow CJ's advice. Its easier than conflict resolution using tes5edit -

Skyrim themed proposal. And she said 'yes'!

If it was in the spirit of Haelga, then he probably gave her a horker tusk I swear, if you visit reddit, Skyrim themed weddings/ proposals/ valentines are reported quite often. Skyrim is a powerful game :O_o: -

Was wondering about this. How do you compile the edited .psc file to a .pex file? I edited the .psc using Notepad++ I googled, but there seems to be a few ways; im not sure which is best. Would rather avoid the CK. -
Same here; gtx 760 4GB. I run at 1080p with RealVision ENB Performance for ELEX, vsync. Interiors are 60fps, exteriors are average 35 fps. I get dips occasionally when i hit my 4GB VRAM limit, down to 25 fps (Riverwood), it usually stabilizes at my VRAM limit at 30 fps. SR:LE, STEP Extended, Requiem, REGS. Some would argue 35-30 fps is unacceptable... I can handle it.

Wrye Bash - Delinquent Masters (Trying to make bashed patch)
MadWizard25 replied to Idonea's question in Wrye Bash Support
WB has an issue with crashing due to formatting of its ini files, I seem to remember. Something to do with ASCII format or whatnot? I saw it a few weeks ago on the WB thread in Bethesda forums. I doubt this helps, but ill throw this out here anyways. -

I was under the impression that NPC/ AI was a CPU task, so additional VRAM could be an issue if you have lots of NPCs with 4k textures for skin, wep, armor, etc. The AI tweak did not help in WB, was one of the solutions i tried for my immobile NPC issue and never made a difference. I have it set at 40 atm, but no idea if it helps at all Regarding conflicts, well, I had to do a lot of tes5edit conflict resolution. But then again im running a whole bunch of packs on top of STEP Extended, additionally with Requiem. If your not doing that then there should be minor conflict resolution edits with tes5edit. THe more you add thats not been tested together though, the more conflict resolution. Its best to check in any case. I have not reached the thalmor part yet, but you try asking the in the REGS pack thread. Both are included in the pack, so the authors may have a better idea of this situation. Hope this helps! -

Disarm with Crossbows/Bows?
MadWizard25 replied to p4ck3tl055's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
Ah I see. In that case I have no idea. Your mod list is pretty similar to mine up to a point, and none of the ones we share use of would seem to be the problem as far as i know. I use requiem instead of SkyRe, so I think your guess is correct that it might be SkyRe, apart from that no idea, sorry! -

Thanks Perfectly answered my question. Im happy its a matter of gameplay and not technical issues. In any case, while im too invested in my requiem build to try this out, this one looks mighty impressive! -
Disarm with Crossbows/Bows?
MadWizard25 replied to p4ck3tl055's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
Sounds like requiem. You can be disarmed when you are out of stamina by any weapon i think. Also dropping your weapon when switching to another is again either requiem, or equipping overhaul. Could be other mods, but those are the ones i know that do this. Edit: Oops, didnt see that your using SkyRe, so you cant be using requiem. I would say partially equipping overhaul then, if you use it. -
Qualitative research... arrrghhh

I thought you guys were working on Requiem with SR:LE, why the switch? Im curious because I just (hopefully) got everything to work, and it would be good to know if there was some sort of big problem with Requiem. -

It depends on your computer. Too many NPCs, and they will stop moving; animals stand still and NPCs will just stand in the middle of roads (in exteriors). I run all the above mods, plus even more (merged a lot of mods), and I had to tone it down due to the number of spawns and NPCs. If you have a powerful CPU @ 4.0GHz+, you can probably run most, but probably not all. Its not just NPCs, its anything that adds spawns that is the issue. I tried running Populated Skyrim mods, Travelers, 101Bugs, SkyBirds, Birds of Skyrim, SkyTEST, Immersive Patrols, Skyrim Immersive Creatures, and Requeim. All add spawns, some normal NPCs, some animals. My computer couldn't handle it, and I have a powerful and new PC. Mind you I was running ugrids 7, which means many more spawns are loaded than ugrids 5. I cut out Birds of Skyrim, 101Bugs and toned down Skyrim Immersive Creatures spawns and now all work fine. Animals move, NPCs walk between cities, patrols patrol. You have to find the right balance between what your computer can handle, your Skyrim ini settings, and number of spawns. Good luck. -

You should mix and match between SR:LE and STEP. Just using both does not work well. There are some overlaps, and quite a few differences that you need to choose between. -
Ah, ok, thanks. Ive already merged a lot of mods beyond Neo's mods. My conflict resolution was based off of those merges. And it worked until recently. Im wondering if there is a record edit that if bad, would cause the game to CTD similar to missing master. I also removed mods and modified my conflict resolution after removing those mods, and those mods I removed were masters for my CR patch. I did remove all references to the removed mods. However, is it possible that tes5edit does not recognize all edits based on removed masters? The check for errors option should find these issues right, and report an unresolved reference? Im wondering because the CTD is so similar to a missing master. Perhaps tes5edit produces false negatives? Edit: Redid the entire patch. Works now.
-
Are you talking about the original one from tes5edit or merge plugin script by mator? Im not sure what you mean though. Do i merge my conflict resolution patch? But with what other plugin? And compare the result, as in check for errors? I need some clarification, thanks
