  1. how is it going with the install so far Grant? are my difficulties an Error 40 or is there something to it?
  2. bump for visibility now that the master is back from vacation.
  3. I'll check them out, thanks :)
  4. welcome back from your vacation btw :) sorry to have a little backlog for you..
  5. I've done something similar and it worked.. these old games and their workarounds :P
  6. I've since installed a proper ENB (the ENHANCED SHADERS - ENB) and I don't have these problems any more. Only problem (visually) now is that everything is odly colored and very dark in lot of the Beyond Boulder Dome areas... Btw.. that mod is the worst quest mod in any game I've ever tried. It's big, yes.. but that's about it. Spend 4 hours just trying to find the NCR outpost (still havn't found it), waypoints pointing back to base on quests, overtuned mobs, 1 dimensional npcs, etc... By now I've regretted it a lot that I even started that questline and spend so much time in there that I want to complete it now instead of reverting to an older save.
  7. I'm not sure if these backpacks are vanilla or added by some mod (first time I'm playing New Vegas), BUT... When I'm wearing this backpack (only one I have so I don't know if it's general bug) it changes my outfit (graphically, 3rd person only), and it seems like I can stack what ever apparel I have when I wear it.
  8. Love the game.. My UI setup.. not so much :P In the "optional" settings that are provided, it's only mentioned that you can "move stuff around". But I'm not very graphically inclined in how to best utilize a screen space, so I was hoping other users would show me how they've set up their UIs - perhaps even share some setting files (which I guess is possible?). Thanks in advance. ps. my resolution is 1680 * 1050.
  9. I have a Logitech G502 RGB and the DPI Shift (thumb button) doesn't work (2 other thumb buttons does work). In the software I've set the button up to be registered as "mouse down", and I've setup bullet time to activate on "mouse down". This worked in Fallout 3, but for some reason it doesn't in FNV. Any tips?
  10. as title says. I've done all the settings as mentioned in the guide, but no right-click => show UI (and later fade). Atm. I'm content with having to use "i" to show UI, but I'd like for it to be fixed.. if possible.
  11. I already uninstalled it.. waiting for an update from Kelmych or GrantSP to see if something is wrong with the guide or my install. Fear and Loathing in New Vegas is running beautifully now though :)
  12. Indeed.. but will I gain anything from using fINIp? besides peace of mind and knowing this is set up correctly. Does fINIp add stability? Performance? Graphic Fidelity? or something else? I'd rather not toy with it too much, now that I've finally got New Vegas up and running, unless I get a benefit from 'toying' with it :)
  13. I remember renaming a NVSE folder to FOSE, but can't for the life of me, recall if this was the one.
  14. Phew.. thanks :) what will I profit from using the fINIp for Fallout New Vegas?
  15. Did I **** something up? I was installing the Enhanced Shaders ENB, when I realised that both Fallout.ini and Falloutprefs.ini are identical... are they supposed to? and if so why in the hell are there 2 identical files? Is this the same for Skyrim?
  16. soo.. I've played the behind out of Fallout 1 and 2, I've practically lived in Skyrim for years, but I've never played Fallout 3, New Vegas or Fallout 4. So I could use a couple of pointers for a new player (especially one who uses Fear and Loathing as I'm guessing some things change). I have a few questions myself, but feel free to add to it. Stats/Skills/Traits Is it possible to max all skills in the endgame without cheesing? Is the Wild Wastelander trait (or what it's called) too immersion breaking? Are any stats more important than others, and why?Should I not max a stat at chargen?I've read that charisma sucks because you can just skill up speech/barter. True/False?Insert own Character Builds I was thinking about making a stealth arch.. uhm.. sneaky ranged character, but one that still was able to repair, lockpick, talk etc. I'm most likely going to be playing solo - although I will try out the companions and see if I feel for them (Inigo in Skyrim doesn't make me excited). What stats would you recommend I start out with to fulfill such a role? (I'd hate to find out later in the game that I'm screwed because I have 1 or 2 less agi or luck or whatever) Walkthrough Not quite, but a general idea of what to do first so it follows the story somewhat chronological. Other Tips and Tricks Feel free to enlighten me :P
  17. I've completed my install and it went pretty smooth I think and no noticeable (yet) errors or glitches in-game. I do have a questing regarding the ENBoost. Picures here: https://imgur.com/a/ic37x I'm comming from the SR:LE behemoth so I have never tried NOT having an ENB installed in a Betheda game. As I understand it ENBoost is different than ENB? I love the colors etc when my game loads, but I have a lot of ragged edges (picture 1). If I enable the ENBoost (Shift-F1) the lines becomes straight and less ragged, but my colors are complete washed out (picture 2). Why is this? and can I do anything besides installing a regular ENB? and if so, any recommendations? :)

  20. NCR Trooper Overhaul - DistributedAuthor: pwinkleVersion: v1.0Requirements: NCR Trooper Overhaul betaInstallation: LOOT reports this mod needs to cleaned with FNVEdit: TrooperOverhaul-Dragbody.esp Contains dirty edits: 6 ITM records. Follow instructions for cleaning here. This mod takes the added trooper models and textures from NCR Trooper Overhaul and distributes them across the wasteland. Red emphasis mine Only 4 ITMs were found when I did it.
  21. following this with interest :) hopefully GrantSP will figure out what (if anything) I've done wrong. Would love to get it to work.
  22. Regarding Willow.. seems that's not possible as the old 1.09 file was removed and only the esp file was left.
