  1. 'm going to have to agree with Besidilo on all points. While the 670 is a very nice card and does have a little more VRAM than the 7970, for the price the 7970 is much better. Now if you can get the 670 for a similar price, then by all means do so, but you usually can't and therefore the 7970 has a great price/performance ratio and it will also last for a few years. As for the Sandy-bridge EX, that is way over the top. Now, you have said that you do some modeling, I would have gone with a i7-2700K as that would be way more than you will need anytime soon, for just gaming the i5-2500K. Of course, it's getting harder and harder to find those so now it would be the 3570k or the 3770K. Either way it would have saved you a lot more money. 8GB of ram is currently the optimum amount of ram to get (in a 2x 4GB manner). The reason is that even doing heavy modeling it would be very hard to max this out, unless you are going to be doing modeling, gaming, etc all at the same time, which obviously makes no sense. Then with all of that money saved an SSD is a HUGE improvement of an HDD. Everything from the moment it starts booting is much faster. You might not see as much performance in gaming except maybe some faster load times, but the improvements are everywhere else.
  2. Yes, I meant the entire aesthetics series.

  4. They look very nice. Looking forward to what it will look like when it is all completed.

  6. The 680 and 7970 are pretty close when it comes to performance. The main difference ends up being what the developer optimized more as I have seen each one win in benchmarks for different games. The 680 usually does better though for single monitors while the 7970 usually does better with multiple monitors. Keep in mind that they can both do multiple monitors, but the architecture of the 7970 allows it to do it better. Anyways, the biggest difference though is price. Both of these cards will easily max out any game that is out at 1080p for quite some time and they can still play games above that resolution, though you then risk not playing with ultimate settings. So the decision is on you, you can get the 680 which is a little more powerful or you can get the cheaper 7970 which is still very good and will last you a long time.
  7. I'm not a fan of the sexy armours and unrealistic changes to every female body. Some women are more curvy, some have big boobs, small boobs, etc, etc. However, a lot of the mods apply the changes to all females to where they all have the same body shape. However, I am fine with nude mods for the sake of realism, as I prefer realism. I don't run around naked of course, but if I take off all of my clothes I should be naked, that's just how the world works.
  8. I don't believe that Crossfire and SLI are the wave of the future at all, as they both are not well supported by a lot of games. Not only that, but I cannot foresee a time when SLI or Crossfire would be needed to max out a game. The current top of the line single GPU (680, 7970) are more than powerful enough to run any current game at maxed settings. Also, looking at the system specs for upcoming games, they are still going to be enough for at least this year and probably another year or two after that.
  9. Way too bright in my opinion.
  10. The screenshots look great to me. As techangel said though, it all depends on how it looks in-game.
  11. You don't need two 690s, as a 690 already contains two GPUs inside of it. You can max out using a 670/680 or a 7970. Probably even less.
  12. I didn't have an opinion on this at first. However, ^they bring up excellent points and I'm inclined to agree with them.
  13. That looks awesome. I'd love to see some comparisons between the current mod.
  14. We're referring to the screenshots that were just posted for RadeonPro.
  15. It's such a small change that you wouldn't even realize was missing if you didn't see the shots. The biggest change in on the vegetation which it adds depth and a sense of density to them. That's exactly what I noticed as well. I also noticed a few extra shadows, but they were so minimal it was hard to notice.
  16. The current STEP is out-of-date because it was made with the previous Skyrim version as well as a lot of mods have been updated and so on and so forth. While you wouldn't run into too many problems going through STEP and installing latest versions, a few are bound to pop up. They're currently working on a 2.2.0b and 2.3.
  17. I'm pretty sure that means fMeshLODLevel2FadeDist=10,000,000.
  18. They look good. However, they don't belong in Skyrim. They are so very clean and shiny, and I'm pretty confident they don't have showers or body wash or lots of make-up. However, boobs.
  19. That's why cleaning mods should ONLY be left to the mod author! TES5Edit currently is more or less a source for reference for a mod maker, how well his mod is set up and whether he needs to improve something. If cleaning ALL the mods in step with TES5Edit in it's current state will be explicitely named as a part of STEP I'll not do it. Most of the times it might work right, but it doesn't always, and who apart from the mod makers should take up the burden to verify whether every single mod they "cleaned" still works as well as before the "cleaning"? They're not going to make an essential part of STEP without testing it first. You can be assured that if it is a part of STEP then it will have been thoroughly tested and it will not ruin any mods.
  20. I must be blind, because I don't see anything. Missing textures are usually bright pink/purple blobs.
  21. Those footprints are way too clean.
