  1. This is not a good sign. I have an ASUS MoBo. Thanks for the tips. I will try them out and report back soon.
  2. I have the exact same problem, except I'm on Windows 7. I have a GTX 770. GeForce driver version 340.52. Steam is installed on a seperate SSD. Desktop PC. DirectX 11 I have tried several ini settings and it CTD every time. Any thoughts?
  3. I had JAVA 6.0.170 now I have JAVA 7.0.650 and all works as intended. Thank you STEP
  4. I am following the recommendations here... https://wiki.step-project.com/Dual_Sheath_Redux When I launch DSR I get this error message... "Could not find main class: DualSheathReduxPatch.DualSheathReduxPatch. Program will exit." Did I create the DSR Patch incorrectly? Do I delete it and try again?
  5. https://wiki.step-project.com/Radiant_and_Unique_Potions_and_Poisons_HD The link from this mod's wiki page does not link to this mod's forum thread.
  6. Thanks for the reassurance. Everything is installing very smoothly so far. Thanks to everyone at STEP
  7. I installed the main file via MO. Everything looks fine. I installed the Reduced Night Glow optional file via MO. I was asked to merge or rename or (something I can't recall). I merged the two mods. Was this correct?
  8. I installed the "Cumulative" file (not the "Performance Repack" File). Am I going to have a problem? I'll report back in a few days.
  9. Rename the file. There's a drop down menu and I chose Ultimate HD Candle Flames. Everything looks good. Thank you.
  10. I am currently installing STEP 2.2.9 STEP recommends Ultimate HD Fire Effects - Meduim Resolution and the Ulitmate HD Candle Flames files. I chose "Ultra Version" of the HD Fire Effects mod instead. When I try to install the HD Candles file (via MO) a warning pops up... What do I do?
  11. Has anyone tried using Pearlish Cursor Alternative or Sanguine Cursor Alternative? Any bugs or glitches?
  12. EssArrBee is the advice I followed. All is progressing smoothly. thankyou
  13. I have downloaded both the "Meshes Hi-Res" and "Normals Original" files through Mod Organizer. The Meshes Hi-Res mod installed right away. However, when I double click the file "HQ3DMap - Normals Original-4817-2-0.7z" (in the Left pane) I get the prompt " This installer looks like it may contain a BAIN installer but I'm not sure. Install as a BAIN installer?" Y or N. Clicking "No" brings up an "Install Mods" window with the big red words "No game data on top level". OK or Cancel So far I've been cancelling. What do I do here? Install as a BAIN? I have right clicked each file listed and they are all textures.
  14. Did I Install These Utilities Correctly? This is my first STEP install. I am working on STEP 2.2.9. I’m up to Step 1F (Benchmarking). Before I go another step I’d like to ask, did I install all my programs in the proper location? I have a 1TB HDD and a 240GB SSD. On the 1TB HDD I have installed… Windows 7 64-bit (SP1 & updated) Avast Antivirus MalwareBytes Graphics Drivers Nvidia Inspector Nvidia Experience Fraps GPU-Z iTunes On the 240GB SSD I have installed… (The STEP instructions clearly state where some utilities should be installed but not so clear for a couple others. Did I get it right?) 15. I'm at the same spot. Overwhelmed by MO's guide. This thread is answering some of my questions also. thankyou
  16. Here’s what I ended up doing… Unequipped all my gear and stored it in the chest in my bedroom in Vlindrel except the gear that would not unequip because it is a quest item. I used console commands to remove all Active Effects (including my natural Redguard resistance to poison and a blessing I had picked up somewhere). I completed the rest of the steps successfully. When I loaded the cleaned save game my natural Redguard resistance to poison and that blessing I removed had somehow reappeared. All good so far. My Papyrus log still shows many errors relating to one uninstalled mod. I have PM’ed the mod’s author and we’ll see if there is a nice simple solution to this. Thanks to the S.T.E.P. team for making such clear instructions.
  17. I am following S.T.E.P.’s guide to cleaning a save game I found here...https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Troubleshooting#tab=Mods_and_Savegames. I reached Step 6 no problem. But, I cannot complete Step 6. I searched the S.T.E.P. forums but could not find an answer, so I thought I’d ask. Step #6 If you are uninstalling mod(s) you will need to strip naked and store your gear in a player home (if you don't have one yet, use anywhere that is listed in safe places link above, make a backup save just in case). First of all, I assume I have to remove EVERYTHING from my inventory and store it in a chest in my home (Vlindrel). Is this assumption correct? When I try to remove EVERYTHING from my inventory and store it in a chest in my home (Vlindrel) some of the stuff I have in my inventory are quest items and they cannot be removed. When I try to store in a chest (or drop) these items I receive the error message, “Quest Items cannot be removed from your inventory.†Can I safely remove these quest items using console commands and continue the cleaning procedure successfully? Here’s a list of “Quest Items†in my inventory (Open console, type “player.showinventory†without the quotes, press ENTER): Step #7 Check and make sure your active effects are clear, if not then click on yourself and type this in the game console: "dispelallspells" (without quotes) and recheck active effects. This will cure vampirism and lycanthropy so if you have one of those, you must add it back with console after finishing the procedure. The “dispelallspells†console command did NOT work. As I understand it all these Active Effects are considered “Spells†which can be removed with the console command “player.removespell †without the quotes. Can I use console commands to safely remove all Active Effects and continue the cleaning procedure successfully? Here is a list of “Active Effects†in my list followed by its ID# and the “name†for each spell: If I use console commands to remove all spells how do I get them back? Every wiki I read states the same thing; some abilities/blessings, although classed as “Spells,†cannot be cast on yourself (the “player†in targeted console commands). That’s it. Thanks for reading this far. Thanks for any help. If anyone needs any more info, please let me know.
