SKYRIMLE Vivid Weathers - a complete Weather and Visual overhaul

I think I will rather trust someone who knows his own work of several years inside out and can tell a theft when he sees one. -

Is there a mod that... (Mod Detectives)

Someone asked... and a genius delivered! -
LOL vurt is probably legendary with refusing to clean that stuff up by now :D

Does anyone know whether I still need the Ultimate HD fire effects patch if I load this mod after the other?
-
Does anyone else think Gamwich's clothing looks a bit too dark? I use the mod and love it, but also think the textures could be a bit lighter, and perhaps not AS contrasty.

How to associate MO with different browser?

Definitely a TOR problem then :( -

Too bad it overwrites a lot of significantly better textures from other mods. -

How to associate MO with different browser?

Nope, nothing. I am starting to think some essential functionality needed for this is not present in TOR. -

Hm, the trouble is that clicking on such Nexus link doesn't bring any window with new file type up. Absolutely nothing happens instead. -
I'd like to be able to use the "download with manager" feature of Nexus with other than the default browser. Does anyone know how to do it?

Uh, maybe you need to have your eyes checked if you can't tell between say 512 and 1k textures on for example walls. Also arguing about VRAM usage with 3GB graphic card is... special. Using higher resolution textures has nothing to do with RAM. I don't think you even know what you're talking about (I don't even want to elaborate on your idea of HRDLC textures being unoptimized - whatever you believe that means).
-
I'd be most happy with sharp 2k textures! just saying that 4k is _often_ good idea when making completely new textures (unfortunately very few people have the skills to do so).
-
Nono, I never said these were upscales. That part was just an example of my critical stance vs your general acceptance of retextures :P Guess I somehow only opened the textures that looked very similar to the originals. I don't know. Considering the low resolution and general blurriness (not like the originals are any better), it doesn't even matter. Not a mod for me. I wish there was some.
-
I checked several of the textures and when I kept seeing the shapes and pieces of the originals (which I had open in another window) underneath, I simply stopped looking further. Do you really blame me? I expected a retexture. I didn't find it. Yes it is my go to and for good reason (in most cases). I know everyone and his mother around here is drooling over, for example, those Krajuan's "re"textures, and I am one of the two or so people who don't sheepily repeat how awesome they are. They are not, they are upscales with some additional Photoshop work (in two cases decent enough that I actually installed and kept them though). This is very similar case. It's not my fault you guys don't see it. I'm surprised though, because you nitpick about such ridiculous little details like colour of the texture for the dragon skidmarks, and you are completely blind to a blatant upscale... Rant off. I agree with z on the resolution. Noone plays the game without the hires textures.
-
- Will you make UHD/4k versions? Nope, no need to ask. Hmm. While I don't normally care for 4k textures and believe they are useless most of the time, it's a bit different when it comes to exteriors and large objects. When you retexture that sort of stuff, why not go for 4k from the beginning? edit: I should have known better. It's not a retexture, just slightly altered vanilla textures. - What resolution are these textures? Globaly they are twice the vanilla size. This isn't even true They are exactly the same as vanilla, every single one of them. Why is the guy lying?
-
His textures are hit or miss, but mostly miss. He is surfing on that stupid 4k popularity wave where resolution is above anything, including quality. What's the point of 4k resolution texture when the object looks like a blurry mess ingame?
-
MysteryModder's textures were low quality upscales with disgusting noise filter slapped over them.

Seeing as this would probably be left ignored, I went to GitHub and registered an account so I can report this (specifically linking to this thread), only to have Tannin close the issue, apparently without even bothering to reading further than the title. Good job. Why do I even bother...

ACCEPTED Northfire's Skidmarks 1K-2K (by SgtPetterzon)
Octopuss replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I'm trying to imply that maybe you (Tech the most of you - damn nitpicker, just like myself, only in different situations :P) are bothering with things that either have no solution or are so unimportant it's not worth it. -

Yeah, and soil 30cm under the surface can be of completely different type. -

Compatibility? For real? Why should it match terrain texture in the first place? Dragon is what, roughly the size of a big truck, and similar weight maybe? When that lands, how deep do you think it ploughs? The soil on the ground does not necessarily look the same as that 20-30cm underneath. I suggest to stop overthinking it :P -

DROPPED Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul (by Shurah)
Octopuss replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Creating compatibility patches is not modifying any original files. The guy is so full of himself and the idea that his precious mod is something special (which it's not) and should be protected by international laws he's going to explode soon.
