Apply the same fix (whatever it is since you managed to be as vague and divulge as little information as possible) to DynDOLOD, which is just a slightly modified xEdit.

Does it generate DLC01SoulCairn if you run it all by itself? Or vice versa, does it complete all other worldspaces if you select all others but not DLC01SoulCairn?

Thanks for letting us know. -
There is not that many snow textures in textures\landscape\*.dds, maybe brighten them directly just for LOD generation. Then afterwards put the originals back. However, you will have a tough time making the terrain LOD textures colors match the fully loaded terrain as long as the "improved" show shader of Skyrim Special Edition is enabled. There will always be a weather or lighting condition were they do not match at all, though maybe not as bad as the vanilla LOD if you are lucky/patient.

I fail to see how I am required to fulfill the lack of basic computer knowledge of users that believe they are entitled to anything. You get rudimentary static HTML pages in heir purest form without any crap in them.

I expect users to have basic knowledge of computers, that includes being able to read and search local files on their computer. The included manual is not a website.

Every browser has a search function for the current document build in - since several decades. Typically it is started with CTRL+F. The manual explains what each feature is and how it works. If an explanation is unclear you can ask specific questions. So, if the full model uses a NIF that contain candle flames, it is a Candle rules. If the full model uses FXGlow NIF, then it is FXGlow rules. If the full models uses a LIGH base record, then it is the Fake Lights checkboxes, which seems most likely.

Read the manual to learn what the different options and settings do. The Glow LOD chapter explains all those settings. If you do not like the result of specific settings then do not use them.

Blue palace Terrace MOD and palace LOD

I probably screwed up the filename... Copy the file to Meshes\lod\solitude\wsbluepalaceglow_lod_2.nif instead. That should work. -
Blue palace Terrace MOD and palace LOD
sheson replied to kojak747's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
It comes with its own LOD meshes that have their own name. I just looked at the files, not in game. Try copying DynDOLOD Resources\Meshes\lod\solitude\sbluepalace_lodglow_lod_2.nif to Meshes\lod\solitude\wsbluepalace_lodglow_lod_2.nif I think you also want to add BluePalaceTerrace.esp=SolitudeWorld to DynDOLOD_[sSE|TES5]_mod_world_ignore.txt Then generate LOD. Let me know if that works, then I will include that new file in the next Resources. -
The error mesage tells you exactly what is wrong with the load order: Missing model "meshes\stroti\treebench\benchpodest.nif" Error: No model, can not create a dynamic LOD base record for bp2benchbase [sTAT:1D0F1B87] in DawnofSkyrim-AllMajorCities.esp A mod is missing a mesh. Missing meshes cause red exclamation marks in the game or even CTD. The public version of xLODGen terrain LOD beta is about a year old. It adds terrain LOD generation for many different games. The list of supported games is in the title of this thread. If you have concerns about 3rd party guides not being updated to make use of the latest features of tools, maybe make a suggestion to their authors.

This is a compression format for textures. There is no compression format called 256. In either case, the compression format 565 does not work with Skyrim Special Edition on Windows 7. In that case use DXT1 or BC7. The exact options and settings to use depend on your load order, system, setup and personal preferences. For terrain LOD check this thread for discussions or discuss with the authors of the guides. As I have suggested before, I you wonder about which settings to use, the best method is to generate a small area of textures with different setting and compare results in the game themselves.

DynDOLOD.esp causing CTD upon quicksave, autosave and hard save
sheson replied to TsarTalvin's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
Do the tests for invalid/missing meshes as explained in the readme. Do not assume what mods do or not do, change or not change. ENBoost is not really a thing with Skyrim Special Edition AFAIK. This sounds a bit like an odd load order with many different things mangled together causing problems. Consider following a proper modding guide from the ground up. -
DynDOLOD.esp causing CTD upon quicksave, autosave and hard save
sheson replied to TsarTalvin's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
There is no need to change any SKyrm INI settings for DynDOLOD. Use BethINI default/presets. Never heard of the game just quitting to the main menu. That almost sound like function that does it. You also have to understand that in years of supporting DynDOLOD there are no such cases. DynDOLOD alone simply does not do any of these things. The LOD mod generated with the DynDLOD patcher is really simple and straight forward and almost all problems originate from data and assets from other mods that are used by DynDOLOD. In case mods from Skyrim are used make sure they have all been converted to Special Edition. Make sure plugins are sorted properly and there are no errors in the load order. Post/upload the log from the generation. Have SSE Engine Fixes and .NET Framework installed (to have some decent crash logs) Do some troubleshooting. Do all test with new game. Starting from main menu with coc Whiterun is sufficient. Yes if you like disable PapyrusUtil and use DynDOLOD DLL instead. It most likely will not make a difference. The LOD mod has static object and tree meshes and textures. Hide the meshes/textures folder to see if it makes a difference. DynDOLOD plugins are very simple and have most of their data copied from the plugins in the load order. See if problem happen when not load DynDOLOD.esp but keeping DynDOLOD.esm. If you are convinced there is an issue with the data in DynDOLOD.esp it can typically be narrowed down on by removing records in a binary search. I will explain more if it gets to that. It make also is a good test to generate a LOD mod only for the vanilla game and essential mods. We know things work fine with vanilla and also large load orders compiled by the modding guides. Then slowy add groups of mods to see when the problem starts to happen. -
Sounds like you enabled full model fall back because most of the trees do not have dedicated 3D LOD models. ~40,000 trees x ~25,000 triangles means 1.000.000.000 triangles for trees. It just doesn't work like that. Use vanilla trees or tree mods that have dedicated 3D LOD models. Do not enable full model fallback.

The statement says that it is rather useless in the game because typically the player can not get close to these areas. The important information is that it is not required to be loaded in the game and there is no need to waste a valuable full plugin slots and potentially have it undo WLRD record changes from plugins loaded before it. It is only required to be loaded to generate terrain LOD. The statements are just stating facts so users do not need to speculate if the plugin might be required for terrain LOD to work in the game. Each users makes their own decision based on the facts.

Only required to be loaded when generating terrain LOD. No harm done when loaded in-game but typically the player can not get close to these areas, so it is rather useless. The statements already answer both your questions. It is clear and precise and it tells people exactly that they need to know.

I can only repeat my answers to the same questions. Skyrim.esm does not contain the data for the entire Tamriel landmass, but the vanilla game ships with LOD meshes and textures that cover more area. So TES5-Terrain-Tamriel.esm, SSE-Terrain-Tamriel.esm adds back terrain for Skyrim (Tamriel worldspace) at the outer edges so there is no missing terrain meshes/textures when generating terrain LOD for Skyrim.A common problem with old terrain LOD replacer mods made with OSCAPE back in the day. As asked, answered and discussed before: use xLODGen to generate terrain LOD first and then TexGen and DynDOLOD for object and tree LOD.DynDOLOD never generated terrain LOD meshes/textures. Not generating a type of LOD means that type of LOD will not match the load order. FAQ: Game: PerformanceA: DynDOLOD is a set of tools that generates a LOD mod based on the load order and options/settings made by the user. The visual results and the performance impact are what the user chooses it to be. The resource requirements can be less, same or more than the vanilla game while the visual result is always vastly superior. A: There are 3 presets: Low - almost none. Medium - like SkyFalls + SDO but 1000x better visuals. High - certainly yes. RTFM to adjust every detail yourself. You can not honestly expect anyone to tell you how much FPS or resources something is going to require in any specific case.Nobody knows your hardware, nobody knows your load order or settings... and nobody can actually test it for you.Simply generate with a set of setting/options and install as a mod. If not satisfied generate with other settings and install as another mod. Then compare. If in doubt follow the included DynDOLOD instructions. Read the manual "Load/Overwrite Orders" in Docs\DynDOLOD_Manual.htmlIt makes no real difference if Indistinguishable Vanilla tree billboards are installed before or after DynDOLOD Resources, but technically it should be after DynDOLOD Resources. There might be a couple billboards that that overwrite each other. It could be that the ones in DynDOLOD Resources look better, but probably not. If you want to use the 3D tree LOD, option use EVT Skyrim version as explained in Docs\trees.ultra\DynDOLOD-Trees.html

Removing plugins is a troubleshooting step. It means there is an error that needs to be fixed. Get a newer version of Wrye Bash from here https://github.com/Wrye-Code-Collection/wrye-bash/releases, which will hopefully create a bashed patch that works. Let us know either way please.
