GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
Lonewolf replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
If you're playing the NVB series, install also The Inheritance, of the Someguy series. The author made this quest mod with a series of sidequests that unlocks themseves based on how you have dealt with certain situations during the game and during the NVB quests. Also the companion mod Russel have this kind of integration with the mod of the Someguyseries, although i have not tried it. -

GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
Lonewolf replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
Long time since i posted in this topic, i have been busy with my New Vegas playthrough (and i'm happy to say that i had only 3 crashes in almost 150 hours of playthourgh). Came here because i found a small problem with a mod from New Vegas Uncut (the "If It Wasnt For Betsy" one) and since i read that was planned to be added into the guide i came here to warn you. Basically after having done the quest for hiring betsy i was unable to return to Big Mountain (and generally all the places were you can't have companions) because even if i had dismissed all of my companions the game thought that i still had one. After looking at some scripts in FNVEdit it would seem that the Betsy follower script does not change the number of critter followers when you dismiss her (at least it didn't in my playthrough). If you happen into this problem, dismiss all of your followers, dismiss betsy, open the console and type: set "b16d0".bCritterInParty to 0 -

It could be Duel, but i remember the author fixing that bug. -
Hello! I just realized now that there is an introduction thread and I though it was time to thank the people of this community for all the work they have done so far. I have been following this community for two years now, and thanks to that i have learned a lot about modding bethesda games. I generally don't post much, mainly because i am italian and not very good at english (i understand it well, but when it comes to put some words one after another things get tricky and it require a lot of time for me to make posts). But some times i make ninja-posts when i know how to help (or i need help xD) and i have the right words ready.

Probably this the "Prove you Usefulness" part. AFAIK is the only quest in the civil war that involves bandits. -
GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
Lonewolf replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
Yes, i have read the readme. And the read me talks about 3 textures: the .357 revolver (Which i already pointed out into the previous Fear and loathing topic), the 12.7mm SMG and the single shougun. It doesn't talk about the Hunting Revolver or the Ranger Sequoia scope texture (They use the same Hunting Revolver Scope) in which i am having problems with. -

It is used in fact, i checked. But for some reason if i do not active the esp the texture is messed up. And the Graphics tag is present. -

The plugins with the no-merge tag still need to be loaded even if they have been merged with the Bashed Patch right? I have noticed that if i do not load the WMX-ArenovalisTextures.esp the texture on the scope of the hunting revolver is all messed up. -

A lot are in PN rebalance (like the improved sneak AI) but some aren't. I'm using the explosive robots and Destructive ordinance esps. They are easy to patch and add immersion IMHO. -

Brodual has made a youtube video about his 10 favourite quest mods, and brought out some interesting ones, like Sorcery, Undeath and Agent of Righteous Might A lot of this mods are present in the pack, i just would like to point out some that are not present but that it would be great to add. -

New Merging attempt! Merged Plugin: Advanced Recon Armor.esp Advanced Recon Desert Ranger Helmet.esp Advanced Recon Riot Gear Helmet.esp Advanced Recon Range Finder.esp Advanced Recon Gear - Project Nevada.esp I saw this 5 plugins together that had no other plugin dependent on them down in the load order so i tried to merge them. I will report here if i will find problems by merging these. -

Two things about that patch: 1: I'm not sure about some corrections that i have made, in particular about some between YUP and EVE in the Weapon and Object Effect sections. I'm also not sure about some corrections between YUP and Project Nevada in the Ingestible and Perk sections, because i do not know if PN deals with them using scripts. 2: A lot of corrections are missing because i usually tend to make a bashed patch, and then check if the bashed patch miss something or mess up stuff. So in that file you will find the stuff that my bashed patch does not do, or do it wrong. -

Those quest mods that i have deactivated i thought to activate them in case i haven't anything left to do from my playthrough. I suppouse at that moment i will not care about my saves any longer. About the YUP & ILO conflicts i usually let ILO override stuff like ligthing, ligth template and imagespace. For all the rest i leave YUP records. I can upload my patch, the problem is that in order to reduce the numbers of plugins i made only 1 esp, and a lot of masters are those quest mods that are not in the guide. I usually place it after the bashed patch, in order to also correct the errors that the bash patch makes. Still, here it is. -

Since we can list what we have merged, i'm going to list it too: And this is my Modlist from mod organizer: I have carefully patched everything in FNVEdit, and so far i player 10 hours without crashes, glitches or problems (i just arrived at the mohave outpost from goodsprings), but i'm worried for when i will start quest like Tales of burning sands, since i know how to patch records in FNVEdit but i do not know yet how to make scripts and other dynamic stuff work together. EDIT: I would add the NPC.Race tag to FCO.esp, since a lot of conflicts come also from the fact that FCO adds new races for different facemorphs. This way 95% of the conflicts goes away (although i don't know fow what strange reason wryeflash adds green eyes to some of them) EDIT2: ah maybe i know the reason. Since they do not have any Eyes record, wryeflash adds to them green eyes. Weird anyway xD -

More to the little discoveries. Spice of Life doesn't like the FixTransparencyBugs of ENBs, so you have to set it on false in the enblocal.ini, otherwise you will see some outfits become invisible. -

Another little discovery. The WRP texture for the .357 revolver does not work well with WMX. Millenia fixed it but never added it to the WRP mod, but you can find it here: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/47714/? -

Same for me. I am able to get the armors and the thermal visor but as soon as i check the range finder esp fallout dosen't even start... I've got into some trouble with WryeFlash. When i start it it says that the date on the plugin has been reset and it mess up my load order, making bashed patches an impossible task. Has anyone ever encountered this problem? -

@EssArrBee i was checking errors in the adam plugins before trying to merge them and FNVEdit told me this: [00:00] Checking for Errors in [42] ADAM - Rangers on Patrol.esp[00:00] Location -> Found a NULL reference, expected: ACHR,ACRE,PGRE,PLYR,PMIS,REFR[00:00] Above errors were found in :PLDT - Location 1[00:00] Above errors were found in :Locations[00:00] Above errors were found in :ADAMPatrolRangerPackageStandard02 [PACK:42000AF5][00:00] Location -> Found a NULL reference, expected: ACHR,ACRE,PGRE,PLYR,PMIS,REFR[00:00] Above errors were found in :PLDT - Location 1[00:00] Above errors were found in :Locations[00:00] Above errors were found in :ADAMPatrolRangerPackageStandard01 [PACK:42000AF1][00:00] Above errors were found in :GRUP Top "PACK"[00:00] Above errors were found in :[42] ADAM - Rangers on Patrol.esp[00:00] All Done!Is something important or can i merge the adam plugins? -

Ok thanks, i'll stick to roberts body. Anyway made some research and the author of "Rifle 1st person Accuracy Fix" is the same of "Weapons Animation Replacers", so i'm sure that the fix is already included into WAR. -

Ok, i tried with the ini tweak, uncheck and check but nothing, FCO was still acting racist... untill i started a new game. And this is only one of the odd things that happened while modding, another one is that if i have flashlight and the recon range finder active with mod that adds a lot of equipment (like spice of life) the game do not start. Anyway, leaving the weird things behind, i noticed that the rifle alignment fix is completely overwritten by the weapon animation replacer Also while i'm loving the third person animation, the first person ones have some weird aim animation. When i aim with a pistol in first person the character raise his hands to the top of the screen and reunite them to hold the gun, when in third person it does nothing like that. Same thing when i aim with a rifle, in first person the rifle is kept on the right, but when aiming the animation starts like if the rifle is kept on the left (only in first person). I am sure that i have followed the instruction in the guide, so i don't think to have installed the wrong animations, so can someone tell me if these weird animations are normal? EDIT: After a little research it would seem that 1st person animation glitches are well known with this mod and unavoidable... EDIT 2: @redirishlord i see in the load order that you posted that you are using breeze male body over roberts (why make one overwrite the other?). Since FCO has a patch for roberts but not for breeze i was wondering how FCO and breeze bend together, since a lot of armor mods require breeze male body. -

I haven't seen any incompatibilities between FCO and the rest of the mods in the guide that a patch with FNVEdit can't solve, and it works fine with hall of face, i just make FCO overwrite it. I think that this issue is caused by the archieve invalidation file because i'm not seeing mod organizer making one. -

FCO is making all the black people in new vegas have white faces, and that isn't very nice... I think that archive invalidation it isn't working on my mod organizer, even if my "Fear and Loathing" profile has the automatic archieve invalidation checkbox ticked. Is there another way to force mod organizer to make an Archieve Invalidation? -

I arrived at the Interface part of the Guide, and i discovered that if you install Weapons Mod Menu after DarnUI the font of the inventory menu reverts back to normal. Since in the guide and in this topic posts i haven't found a fix, i looked into the nexus forum and found this: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/449151-the-weapon-mod-menu/page-52&do=findComment&comment=8348037 https://pastebin.com/ryLDKZ92 I downloaded the file and renamed it inventory_menu.xml and had made it override the WWM one, and it seems working fine.
