  1. I'm following your latest set of instructions. At More Interactive Items, when I try to close TES5Edit, it just creates a save. This is after following the first set of instructions for the Bethesda DLC changes. I've tried it 3 times making sure I'm doing each line right, as well as only trying to save after the first instruction, Its wierd. It hasn't had this issue for anything but this mod, went ahead to More Village Animals and its no problems. With this mod it just creates a save in the overwrite folder and TES5Edit refuses to close. I have to go and use the task manager to close it, and no changes are saved. On top of that, it also causes my CPU load from the task manager to go to 10%. Not sure if thats a big deal, but it stays there until I force close TES5Edit, where it goes back to 0.
  2. No problem! It doesn't really indicate anywhere that it can or can't but I've seen no bad effects from starting it after Skyrim.
  3. I had similar issues with SBW in MO. Your best bet is to start Skyrim through MO in one of the other ways, I do it through SKSE or Attk, and afterwards click the SBW.exe or make a shortcut to it so it can be started after Skyrim has started. Then you can hit Ctrl + Enter afterwards for it to work correctly.
  4. I'd like to shoot for around $100, but I still want to get something that's effective. Honestly, I think I'll probably only need about 64 to 128GB.
  5. When you click the red X to exit TES5Edit, when it shows you which .esps have been modified. At the bottom of that window, it asks if you want to make a backup. By default it is checked, and it will save the modified .esps to your overwrite folder. If you uncheck it, MO will put the modified .esp file into the original mod's folder. If you modify a file in the creation kit, it still saves to your overwrite folder though.
  6. Its all good guys. I'm happy with my purchase. I just know I have to get a an SSD when I can afford one. Any recommendations for SSDs? I have literally no idea where to start.
  7. I guess a better description of what I'd be using the rig for would be in order. Other than gaming, I will be doing a LOT of work modeling and animating in Maya and 3ds Max. Some Blender, Zbrush, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash. Thats just off the top of my head atm. I will be doing some video editing as I will have to edit my own animations, and I want to use this computer over the generic ones at school, which are always in use for homework. I figured this rig would cover my bases, and is able to be upgradable when necessary as I shouldn't have to upgrade the motherboard for a while. I do definitely see the worth in an SSD now though.
  8. Well damn. I think I'll be putting an SSD on my next need list for my budget.
  9. I'll be honest, I don't have a lot of experience building PCs or getting parts for them. This is actually the first PC I've built by myself. I had asked for feedback from friends and family that have built their own computers before and was told that it was a solid build that would last me a few years. I'm hoping to have this computer last at least 5 years, while being able to upgrade it in the future. I do agree that cutting the SSD really sucked to have to do, but I felt that being able to get the other parts (especially the CPU) was worth waiting a bit to add an SSD to. I have yet to see how fast speeds are on an SSD compared to an HDD, but I've heard about it. Ignorance will have to be bliss for now, as I'll have to save up for an SSD first. I don't have any experience with Radeon, but Nvidia has yet to let me down, so I figure it is worth continuing to get their graphics cards as I'm more familiar with them, and as such can take better advantage of what they have to offer. Overall I still feel that for what I will be using it for, I have not made any bad choices. Also thanks Neovalen, for explaining it to me.
  10. I got it to be a bit future proofed. I'm going to Digipen for Digital Art and Animation, so I needed a good CPU for rendering tasks, but I'm also going to be using it for gaming. The Sandy Bridge-E was the best compromise I could find. The original plan had an SSD, but due to money constraints I had to take it off. I hope to grab one in the next coming months. Is the config really that bad?
  11. Does anyone have thier set up with with ENB and stability? Mine is really unstable with ENB. Take ENB out though, and no CTDs after 3 hours of playing. SweetFX and SMAA work fine though. I was really enjoying Skyrealism's Vibrant settings. I second PCG4m3r's Notepad instructions being added to the wiki, btw.
  12. I just recently upgraded to a GTX 670 superclocked and I read that it has a GPU Boost functionality. Does anyone know how it works? and Is it worth using for a modded Skyrim?
  13. I'd say start with trying to update MO to v0.12.5 from the nexus. There were some really bad issues with 0.12.3. Try it again and see if it gives the same issue.
  14. I like this one alot. Vanilla wolves sound like they're already dying before you see them.
  15. My vote is still for Hectrol all the way. It looks really good in the places I've seen it.
  16. So far Ive been able to get 60fps in all areas except ones with lots of grass. Its goes down to ~45 then. I was having an issue where it would load forever when going into bleak falls barrow. ATTK fixed it for me. Now when I walk from Riverwood to Whiterun I get a crash going into the farm where companions take down the giant.
  17. USKP update? Just when I got my Skyrim to be stable. I'll be watchin for the new updates. I just removed RCRN so I can try out the recommended ENBs. RCRN plus is amazing except during the day the snow is waaaaaay too bright. EDIT: Everything is up and running fine on my end. A quick question. Are you going to show how you go through the mods and check for incompatibilities at all? I know when this is finished, Im going to want to add Achieve that! To my modlist.
  18. Yep, so far I'm all set and haven't had any issues with Skyrim Revisited so far. Now to start DDSOpting files.
  19. I did run FNIS, do I need to have it run in game? I noticed my character started with FNIS spells. Do you just wanna hop into the chat room?
  20. Yes, it still gives the same issue. Ctd after 1 sec of black screen. Don't get me wrong. I'd like to use everything on the list except for frostfall and the hunger mod. I decided to start a game without AV and AS to play around in. Whenever I loot a female, CTD. Looting males is just fine. Guess I have to reinstall some UNP meshes or something.
  21. So I re-did all 3 of those mods. Redownloaded them from the site, reinstalled them with MO and edited them as necessary. Non Essential Children works fine now. Alternate Start and Automatic Variants still give the same issues as before. Game runs just fine otherwise. I can do without Alternate Start just fine, but I'm really looking forward to trying Automatic Variants.
  22. Just an update, I've whittled the issues down to: Automatic Variants - when booting skyrim, black screen comes up, and 1 second later ctd Alternate Start - Can continue from a save just fine, but starting a new game causes the menu words to disappear and spinning emblem forever. Non Essential Killable Children - Causes the Emblem to come up, and thats it. No menu text, no spinning at all. Gonna redo these mods and the patches for them and try again.
  23. Thanks for the recommendations everyone. I just got home so Ima try to check what could be wrong. I noticed the out of order Alternate Start and corrected it. Same with Skytest. I think there might be some issues with the order I did the changes in though. Im pretty sure there were a few mods that I went and edited first, before putting into 1.8 format. I believe that may be affecting it. @Neo I would love to see Skyre set up with this guide. As I was setting it up, I actually found myself lamenting that I wouldn't be able to use it with Skyre.
  24. I was all excited cuz I got through the entire guide, but when I click on new game, The options go away, and all I have is the spinning emblem. No loading at all. Go figure, I musta flubbed something. I was so sure too.
  25. Daagar, I had a similar issue. I had installed a mod, can't remember which one, and I went into it using the information section of MO to delete the files to be removed. I Ctrl-clicked a bunch of them and hit delete. MO crashed and deleted the whole folder. I try to remove them from installation or remove them through windows explorer when possible. I also like to make blank folders in the mod section to use as bookmarks/spacers for the different sections. It worked fine in previous iterations. In the latest MO it destroys my mod order for some reason. all my mods got thrown in all random places. I think it's because it found a folder that doesn't have a meta.ini. Never trying that again. I came back to mention that when you create a patch in MO from TES5Edit, it will still show up in the overwrite folder, even if you have create backup not checkmarked. It will still put the modded .esp in the folder where it came from, but you have to move the new patch to the right folder.
