  1. This fix did not work for me. I guess I'll just continue to hold off on using MO still *sigh*. The last version created hundreds of gigabytes worth of log files even on the LOWEST logging level. It defaulted to "debug" level logging originally, and I only realized something was wrong when suddenly my SSD was full, and MO had a log file that was 360gb's in size (which are text files I might add ffs - I don't even WANT to know how many TRILLIONS of lines long that thing was...). It only stopped when my drive was out of space lmao. I didn't even TRY to open it - I feared Notepad++ would implode! >_< I tried the lowest logging level, and still got a 6gb-sized log after having the damn program open for only like, 5 minutes. I then locked down ALL access to the log folder, which worked, but the constant error popups about not being able to write to the log file every time I downloaded a mod or started the program or the game were too annoying to tolerate, and I went back tom manually installing mods...
  2. Um.... yeah wow. I was in the middle of moving all the mods I've been manually installing for Fallout 4 to Mod Organizer 2, when I was suddenly told I was out of disk space. I then realized that MO had spawned a 61GB log file! A LOG FILE! And I hadn't even booted the game once through it yet! And another log file was 6gb! Yeah, I think I'll wait, and I wouldn't bother asking for the logs, because A) I already deleted them, and B) How the hell would I send you guys a 61gb file lmfao...
  3. It did fix it, and I know why you made this tool, and I do appreciate it. I had no way of knowing what setting no longer were important/used, and it's almost better in a lot of circumstances to remove sections anyways (as they revert to default if not present). It was just a bit more annoying because Fallout 4 auto-detects my computer and sets it to "medium". Now, I am under the recommendation line, but that line is set FAR too high for AMD cards, and I can run the game flawlessly at a smooth 60fps with every setting on ultra, soooooo........ XD Anyways, it's all fixed now, and the fact that the game auto-updated at around the same time I tried this tool may have been the cause as well, so no worries! I really can't wait till I can bypass the launcher, as even trying to load Fallout4.exe directly from the installation dir still loads up the launcher now (rather annoying, this wasn't the case for Skyrim)! n.nU
  4. I'm not sure what happened, but after installing this I cannot seem to undo the change it made. I honestly had intended to use it as more of a "suggestion", as I am an experienced end-user, and also wanted to include some of the harmless things I used for Skyrim that still seem to work (such as changing the size of the console, the color of it's text, etc.). So I carefully went through all you your recommendations and created merged versions of the two .ini files with my preferential additions. Now whenever I launch the game, though, it resets them back to 100% "your version" without comment. I tried forcing an .ini reset via the launcher, but that didn't fix it, so I'm now trying to purge all the .ini files in the Fallout4 dir and re-validating the cache. Hopefully that will fix it. I do have one question while I'm here: Does the order things are listed in the .ini file truly matter? "Your" version rearranges them quite a bit from what the game spawned for me is why I ask, and this has always bothered me a bit. My impression was that it didn't matter, so long as the setting was in the correct .ini file and under the correct section header. Is this inaccurate...? EDIT: I just realized that the game just updated, so that could have something to do with it...
  5. I'm not sad to see it go - while I could never say for certain that it was causing any issues, it kept yelling at me "UE: Recovering - don't save!" more than half the time I reloaded a save, and took over a minute to say "done" (I blame my 180+ plugin list for that, but still).
  6. Thanks, I forgot about that bug tracker site - I'll leave a report there...
  7. (Considering there are FIVE threads in the Fallout support sub forum, I don't think I'm going to get much help with my post there, so I'm going to re-post it here in the hopes that I can ACTUALLY get some help...) SO I've know for a while that if I even TOUCH one of the checkboxes under the Archives tab of MO for Fallout: NV, Fallout will cease to ever launch, and nothing short of a MO folder rollback will fix it (even if I unckeck the archive). By "not loading", I mean that the process will start up for a few seconds, then crash. Now this wasn't an issue before I updated from 1.1.2 to 1.2.1 - all I had to do was stay the heck away from the Achives tab. But v1.2.1 seemed to decide to be clever and auto check all the boxes in the Archive folder for me, making the game unplayable. I would very much like to be able to update MO to 1.2.1 (the LOOT button is very usefull, and is even smarter than BOSS in some matters, such as where to place merged or bashed patches), but I really can't unless I can figure out what smart ass little file is checking all the archives for me, or this issue gets fixed... Oh, and while I'm at it, does anyone know how to get MO launching FNV to show up as being played on Steam? For whatever reason, it doesn't...

  9. I found a temporary fix - apparently if I use the "coc" command to start a new game, THEN the saves show up. It's only a partial fix though...
  10. So I have run into this greatly annoying problem after updating to MO version 1.1.2 - every other time I boot up Skyrim (SKSE), none of my save files show up. I get the main menu with no load or continue option. Simply restarting fixes the issue, but when this happens every other time without fail it's very time consuming, since it takes MO at least 2 minutes to launch Skyrim after the SKSE cmd window goes away. I don't know if this has something to do with the fact that I have over 1000 mods input into MO (not all loaded at once, of course - maybe 200 loaded, and a lot of them are just models or textures without scripts orr .esp/.esm files). I'm unsure if it's slow to load because MO is trying to index all 1000+ mods before it launches or what, but that's not the main issue here...
  11. No luck with the overwrite folder, but I guess it really isn't a huge issue at this point. Thanks for the help!
  12. The title pretty much says it - I use a few different profiles with completely different mod setups, and one of them uses FNIS and one doesn't. However, when I switch to the profile without FNIS and re-run Generate-FNIS-For-Users (which I set up properly using the guide on this site), it still detects and adds several of the animations from the mods loaded in the other profile. Specifically, creature animations. I don't think there's another way to reset FNIS's effect on Skyrim's behavior files without running Generate-FNIS-For-Users again, so I'm struggling to find out why FNIS is still finding mod animations when none of the are selected in the mod list. If I'm wrong please tell me! Some extra information: I have a clean Skyrim folder, with no loose animation files, mod or vanilla. Generate-FNIS-For-Users is located inside the Skyrim directory (data/tools), because I couldn't get MO to run it from an external location (it just gives me some crap about needing elevation, and then even when I ask it to continue despite this it does nothing. I also tried setting the program to run as admin to start with, but no luck there either). I have the most current versions of FNIS Base, FNIS Spells, and FNIS Creatures (and I just checked for updates again). Any help you can help would be much appreciated! *On an unrelated note, IS Mod Organizer version 1.0.12 out or not? Because Skyrim Nexus only has version 1.0.11 available for download, but the update button inside MO is selectable, and it says the most current version is 1.0.12, even though it fails to download anything (it just sits at 0% downloaded forever). What gives? EDIT: It seems clicking the "deinstall creatures" button solves this at least partially - I have to do some extra steps to get the creatures portion of FNIS reinstalled when switching back to my FNIS profile. I'm still hoping for a way for Generate-FNIS-For-Users to NOT detect these creature animation mods.
  13. Is there a way to get the new version installed that WON'T destroy all my settings? =.= EDIT: Nvm, I figured it out. EDIT2: Ok, now it's updated, but I've run into another issue: any Nexus link I click on from inside the mod info causes the site to say "This file cannot be downloaded while the owner has set it to hidden.", but a quick search shows that the mod isn't hidden...
  14. Do I have to physically go download it off the site? Usually I just update it from within the program itself, and it says there's no update... EDIT: I should probably include that my current version of MO is v1.0.9
