GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
Kelmych replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
If the main menu isn't visible a common cause is that the fonts for Darnified UI didn't get properly added by UIO, as mentioned by SRB in this post. If that isn't the problem you can find some other possible solutions in this forum; use advanced search (the wheel in the upper right of the page) and search for "Fonts do not display in main menu" and select Display Results as posts. -

No ironsights for Zealotlee MP5
Kelmych replied to RAMbo4250's topic in Fallout 3 - Clear & Present Danger
You should revise the load order, or create a patch if needed, to get what you want. With the MP5, however, it isn't always a load order issue. There cam be several MP5 weapons each with a slightly different name and each with different characteristics. You can always get the one you want with a console command, but the distribution of these in the game depends on loot and vendor lists. -
No ironsights for Zealotlee MP5
Kelmych replied to RAMbo4250's topic in Fallout 3 - Clear & Present Danger
As it mentions in the comments in the weapons section of the guide, there are options in which weapons mods are used or not used, the results after installing the mods may vary. The guide provides a set of useful weapon mods but they are not all compatible and sometimes multiple mods add the same or similar weapons. I'll try to make this clearer in the comments at the beginning of the section. There are, for example, multiple weapon mods that add MP5s. The Zealotlee MP5 has Ironsights, but MP5 weapons from some other mods do not. Drop the weapon you are using on the ground temporarily. Go into the console and click on the weapon and note the ID that is presented in the console. The first two characters are the index of the mod providing this weapon. Then use the right pane of MO to identify which mod it is, and/or use FO3Edit to examine the details of the weapon. -
Thanks for reporting this. I'll remove it in the guide until it gets fixed.

Sortomatic itself can access the storage for each crafting station, but that storage is internal to Sortomatic. The items stored in a crafting station are not in a container that the player can open like a refrigerator or a desk. They are in a virtual container. The rest of the items are in ordinary containers, in addition to being indexed by Sortomatic. If an item is used in more than one crafting station there is a problem since it can only be stored in one crafting station. If you want to use the item in another crafting station you need to retrieve the item from the Sortomatic MSC and have the item in your inventory when you use it to craft at the other crafting station.

Thanks. I have the file and will start testing it.

how to find form id based on ref id?
Kelmych replied to Scythiss's question in General Skyrim LE Support
If you use the MFG Console mod and select an item in the console it should show both the ref id and the FormID -
The FO3 guide uses xedit when referencing the executable. Note that when getting updates from AFK the 7zip file name is TES5Edit and the executable is TES5Edit.exe, so some references to TES5Edit need to remain. Perhaps the FO3 guide should mention renaming the developer version after installation.

Does this happen when ENBoost is used or only when ENB is used for processing?

3DNPC Fallout Bundle A new mod for Fallout 3 with several quests and, of course, additional NPCs. This is currently an alpha release, but already has a lot of content. The main quest currently has three parts. This is based on the Skyrim Interesting NPCs mod by the same author.

LOOT might have additional recommendations that I missed, as well as cleaning recommendations for mods not in the guide.
-
LOOT gets input from users (including me) on mods needing cleaning. Their list of mods needing cleaning isn't always complete. I've had problems for a while sending updates to them. If you run FO3Edit and find that a mod listed as needing cleaning doesn't actually need cleaning,(or other cleaning related issues) let me know.

Look at this post by Tannin in which he mentions that MO and other programs should typically not have administrative privileges. You can also find others by Tannin with the advanced search tool on the top right.

In one of my previous game starts I had a similar problem with attacks in the opening sequence. I started over and it didn't occur the next time.

Thanks for finding this. I fixed it in the guide.

How does it compare in looks and performance to the grass in Flora Overhaul?

Does the Helm POV mod work when FWE is being used? Does it replace some of the FWE POV menus with Project Nevada ones?
-
It seems like a good supplement for DIFF that adds back some Unofficial FO3 Patch and FWE subrecord changes.

Enhanced Weather - massive FPS drops
Kelmych replied to WuXeS's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
You might want to install a version of the Dynamic Weather mod that gives you the weather control directly (vs. the quest or trader) so the weather can be adjusted easily. I looked at the plugin for the Enhanced Weather fix and I can't see any reason why the fix plugin would make the rain invisible. I don't have any save games when it is raining that would allow me to test the fix. I'll try to see if it easy to force rain. -
The crafting stations in sortomatic can only see items that are stored in the crafting station itself, along with items in player inventory. Unfortunately the crafting stations don't have access to all the items stored by sortomatic-enabled containers. The scripts installed by the Sortomatic for Tales from the Burning Sands mod sets up defaults in sortomatic to store many of items used in crafting in the appropriate crafting station, and these scripts should provide this functionality in all sortomatic-enabled houses.

I don't think the installation order of JIP Companions Command and Control is affected by the order of installing companion mods as long as they companion is a vanilla companion or it is one of the companion mods that it supports. I'll check to make sure.
