Great find, gonna test this soon.

It's usually installscript.vdf that it redownloads, nothing crucial. Many files will be recreated ones you launch it for the first time. No reason to hate Steam, it makes it mighty easy to redownload or clean corrupted installs. Same goes for patching. If only it didn't force Steam updates whenever it feels like...

There's really no need for that. I believe SIG or Wrye Bash guide have instructions for restoring a clean install of Skyrim. Not hard at all and will save you a lot of time by avoiding downloads of large files.

Is it supposed to be this small?

I've gotta say, this is not what I was expecting after reading the thread's title. -
Yes, you need to have updates enabled.

ACCEPTED Ruins Clutter Improved (by raiserfx)

Actually, it's fairly easy to miss. If you hadn't posted on this forum, I wouldn't even know who you were. I knew about your work, but couldn't remember authors of the big texture packs. It was fairly confusing with the amount of texture packs that were popping up in the first weeks anyhow. You're assuming things, which are probably incorrect. I don't see why mothergoose would have any reason to lie. I'm confused, is it the first time somebody criticised your work, or simply didn't enjoy it? If it makes no sense to you that he doesn't quite like detailed dark-coloured textures, well then, I think it's time to realise that not everyone has the taste when it comes to what's I don't necessarily share mothergoose's stance on the subject, but what I think he means is that he would prefer It makes sense, if the vanilla high-resolution textures are not enough for someone, it's only natural that they would be looking for something else, that might not only enhance the vanilla game, but maybe even improve (in their eyes) upon it by using a slightly different style. -
Is your graphics card overclocked? There's a good chance what you're seeing is artifacting.

SKYRIMLE WSBP - Windsong Skyrim Beauty Project v2

It looks pretty horrible IMHO. -
0.92 was released in August for Skyrim 1.7, I can't see how there would be any issues with it.

Great quality work by CaBaL. I can see his mods making it into STEP 2.3. -

I think a big issue here is that we often rely on opinions of others without a proper comparison. I'm guilty of that too, so please crucify me gently. -

This might be the first Skyrim DLC I buy. -
That's why cleaning mods should ONLY be left to the mod author! TES5Edit currently is more or less a source for reference for a mod maker, how well his mod is set up and whether he needs to improve something. If cleaning ALL the mods in step with TES5Edit in it's current state will be explicitely named as a part of STEP I'll not do it. Most of the times it might work right, but it doesn't always, and who apart from the mod makers should take up the burden to verify whether every single mod they "cleaned" still works as well as before the "cleaning"? TES5Edit is supposed to be a core part of STEP Thunderbolt, but I imagine it would be set to only clean the mods that really require it.

I think it works like this: 1) Mod A relies on the vanilla game's Object 1, whilst modifying Objects 2 and 3. 2) Mod B modifies Objects 6-8 and Object 1. 3) Mod A is loaded AFTER mod B. 4) Both mods are cleaned of ITMs and UDRs. Assuming that Mod A is cleaned with TES5Edit and is lower in the load order, Object 1 will be overwritten by Mod B, since the Identical to Master record was previously removed from Mod A. So now Mod A relies on an incompatible record from Mod B. But this is a mod incompatibility and what is required here is a compatibility patch. I still can't think of any "Objects" or records for that matter that would conflict this way. I'm also sure there's a better way of making sure the vanilla records are used when a mod requires that.

In theory the goods should be owned by a person closest to the deceased (whether family or a close friend). If there's nobody that falls under that category, I imagine that Jarl would take the ownership (or one of the Guilds). With that said, the system is a little too simplistic for either solution to be ideal.

I use pretty much all cheskos mods, he's a genius when it comes to enhancing the gameplay with little things like this.
-
Ah, that makes sense now. So it's really a mod incompatibility and part of the incompatible mod would be overwritten anyway. In that case you should merge the plugins in TES5Edit or ask the author to make a compatibility patch or whatever.
-
I fail to see how deleting ITMs could cause any issues.
-
We need a compatibility patch with Solitude Docks District. :) I've been testing both mods for a while, surprised it's not more popular or that I haven't posted it here yet.

That's a bit harsh, let them use whatever they want, even if it's in poor taste. Freedom of choice and all that.
