GUIDE Best/most stable/current FO4 mod pack/guide?
ZidanReign replied to Gutmaw's topic in General Fallout 4 Discussion & Support
I uninstalled FO4 since i was tired of dealing with its stupid problems no matter how many times I modded it. There is no good WSE2 alternative that I know of since I haven't bothered to look at any new mods for FO4 in awhile. But if you want Crafting Workbenches, try Crafting Mastery. -
GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
ZidanReign replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
That would be great. There are alot of new mods to take advantage of these days and either have better options for compatibility, functionality, or both. With this pack considered finished, a new one would be a breath of fresh air. Seeing stuff like Asurah's Animation Pack and Xilandro's Diagonal Movement and Weapon Inertia just makes New Vegas almost feel like a new game again. -

No that's wrong they were reshared from an archive. CaliberX is no longer being developed. -

unless you don't need the other aspects of pn that should be fine, but those options can be disabled to work with the mod as well -

Thank you Grant. Mighty appreciated. -
How to open locks with dynamite?
ZidanReign replied to GlassWizzard's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
You just set it off right next to the lock object And unless your explosives is high or the explosive is a strong tier, its not going to open. I never really used it since I always get lockpicking. -
Weapons of the New Millenia, CaliberX, and a big patch
ZidanReign replied to MrBrightside's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
I guess I can try downloading the mod and seeing if I can make a quick profile for NV on MO2 to see if the installer runs for WARS. I have FNV and FO3 installed for the day TTW 3.0 releases just in case. Edit: The installer ran correctly and installed the files. Albeit it took longer than MO1 did but it installed fine. Folder's properly packaged and everything. -
Weapons of the New Millenia, CaliberX, and a big patch
ZidanReign replied to MrBrightside's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
I've never tried MO2 with NV but I remember that there are some features that were removed or aren't working right in it. Have you tried using regular Mod Organizer, those work best with the older Bethesda Titles but that doesn't explain why the installer won't work. -
Weapons of the New Millenia, CaliberX, and a big patch
ZidanReign replied to MrBrightside's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
Don't use them. Its honestly outdated and not really an immersion breaker. Its just an animation replacer so it won't be missed. Feel free to pick up Xilandro's Weapon Inertia https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/64335 and diagonal movement https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/64333 mods though, as that certainly enhance the feel of guns and movement in game. iirc the Guide uses Ragdolls so make sure with Weapon Inertia you have it installed after with its compatibility skeleton. In the animation part in general, I'd say also add Solid Project for a ton of features you can customize yourself without a hassle and a sprint that is actually animated rather than PN's Sprint, which it will ask to deactivate if you want. Be wary as NV Enhanced Camera won't work with these mods (double hands with Animated Sprint.) I never really used those mods in any bethesda game but its a personal preference so its your choice after all. -
Windows 10 Fall Creators Update
ZidanReign replied to boogiepop's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
>960m It's not actual a full 960 but since you asked, there should be an option in Nvidia Control Panel or in your Power Settings to set your GPU as the main one on your computer. Also set your settings for visual display to single display performance if you haven't already. If you're going to try to use enb, I don't know if its still a thing, but don't use the wrapper version. Cheers. -
GUIDE Best/most stable/current FO4 mod pack/guide?

Yeah honestly, if you know Mod Organizer well enough and how to seperate MO2 from the original with its quirks. -
GUIDE Best/most stable/current FO4 mod pack/guide?
ZidanReign replied to Gutmaw's topic in General Fallout 4 Discussion & Support
I've done his install via MO2, I just didn't follow the parts about the textures section exactly since my machine is pretty strong without total optimization. I have no 60fps below gameplay at 1080P. (I don't see the point in 1440p or 4k atm until it is more affordable and being able to reach 60fps without sacrificing quality) Birait's just makes you do the standard clean masters with xEdit so no need for extensive xEdit knowledge unless you've never done that, then look up a guide on how to do that. -

Weapons of the New Millenia, CaliberX, and a big patch
ZidanReign replied to MrBrightside's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
I'm probably not remembering correctly but doesn't CaliberX natively replace all calibers with equivalents or changed records for the Vanilla+DLC weapons? Also making a CR patch should still be as simple as it was two years ago. There are video tutorials even. -
Weapons of the New Millenia, CaliberX, and a big patch
ZidanReign replied to MrBrightside's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
You could just find the individual weapon mods from Millenia that you only want and just make a marged patch of the guns and assets but I've never tried that. If you try this, to just make a patch with CaliberX for your new merge, just forward the records you'd need to make it compatible via conflict resolution patch in xEdit. -
GUIDE Best/most stable/current FO4 mod pack/guide?
ZidanReign replied to Gutmaw's topic in General Fallout 4 Discussion & Support
I've switched from using Gernashes' to using the top listed since I loath installing Weaponsmith Extended 2 now since there's a much better alternative for it but his guide's patch still hasn't been updated, and a lot of the guide's optional mods aren't really optional if you install the patch as well so until he updates everything completely for a more stable experience and remove's the optional's dependencies (trying to play survival is almost impossible since I would experience a lot of CTD's before I could even sleep) I'm just enjoying birait's, which never CTD's unless I play for hours on end and by then I've made several saves. Gernash's modlist is also for more casual difficulty gameplay, playing it with just the modlist on survival is basically "Do you wanna have a bad time?" -

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/28822/ We FO3/NV leveling system soon boys. This just replaces the perk poster to be a ui similar to the older games. It doesn't lag like the poster either. And Snap'n Build returns! https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/28834/ -
Ragdolls mod requires FO3
ZidanReign replied to GlassWizzard's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
I think it's common sense not to pick up the TTW version if your not using TTW. -
Only thing I can say is to go back to the section of the guide with the body mods and try reinstalling roberts or type3
-
Hmm. Have you tried turning off the optimized textures?

ZidanReign replied to Gernash's topic in Unofficial Fallout 4 Guides
Yes, I always wondered about that. Stuff that was marked as optional in the guide turned out to be not optional when installing the corewiki patch. -
Do you have MO handling archives checked? Check the archive tab to see if the box is checked at the top and check all archives below that aren't checked automatically and start the game. Conflicts with textures will usually show purple colors or mismatched textures with head and body textures that you should be able to see, but if you see an exclamation point, its either missing the meshes/textures needed. Do the above and they should show up.
