  1. Sorry for the huge delay in responding, got caught up with various life stuff. I started a new game and loaded up the save at the first opportunity (didn't get LAL because I was afraid of messing stuff up). I got the "some content missing" message but it actually loaded fine. I played through a bit and my later save at Bleak Falls Temple seems to be loading fine, I guess it was because the town was a crowded area or something? Just want to make sure, don't want to have this problem again.
  2. Sorry for the delay in responding. I did the following to rebuild the patch: 1) Opened LOOT (This time it just said "Error" with no description but worked fine afterwards) and accepted the sort changes. 2) Opened Wrye Bash. 3) Followed the steps on the wiki starting from 2 (presumed that since I've built it already I didn't need to re-enable the disabled stuff). 4) Dragged the "Docs" folder from Overwrite to "STEP Core Bashed Patch" (what I called it in the left pane), choosing to Move and Replace. 5) Ran LOOT again just to be safe, it said it made no changes. 6) Booted the game to test, trying to load the file gave me the "this save relies on content that's no longer present" message and choosing "Yes" from there lead to the same problem. My enblocal.ini: My current load order from LOOT:
  3. Updating in new post since I still can't find the edit button on the original post. I managed to load my save by starting a new game and loading from the pause menu in there. Still, I'd rather not sit through the carriage ride every time so if anyone can help, it'd be greatly appreciated.
  4. Alright, good to know, thank you!
  5. I just recently completed a baseline STEP Core install following the guide as much as I could (skipped the mods that it said I could skip with ENBoost since it made me get that). It was working fine but I recently saved in Riverwood after talking to Sven and getting all his talk options out and now I can seem to load it. I'll freeze or it'll start loading fine with the music kicking in and everything but just not stop loading, one it just crashed to desktop. I tried disabling the DynDOLOD stuff but when I started it up and went to load my file it said that it was depending on content that's no longer available, that sounded too dangerous to accept so I quit out and turned it back on. Also tried loading my last save before that (an autosave just after leaving the starting cave), but it froze both times. Current LOOT order, I think: Trying to sort DOES actually offer changes but I was too concerned to accept because of the Bashed Patch and all. If any more info is needed, I'll give it, I just don't know what's needed.
  6. The MCM menu doesn't seem to fit the options listed on the Wiki, I checked "Follower Addon" anyway, hopefully that should do the trick.
  7. Well, I put Global Priority as 79, left Priority alone and sorted. ELE is currently dead last and the game seems to boot alright. I suppose I'll come back or make another topic or something if there are any issues.
  8. Ah, that would explain it. It seems like the only other one given a priority value in the guide is Relighting Skyrim (960000 - 96?), the other two mentioned are "load after" rules rather than priority rules. and the Bashed Patch wiki page only mentions having those four rules and running LOOT first (though I haven't watched the included GamerPoets video if that explains it), so I don't know what's supposed to come before or after it.
  9. I mean, 80 would come before 970000 (the value listed on the wiki page) too, I'd think. Is the wiki wrong?
  10. Okay, I put 97 in the Global Priority while leaving the other Priority untouched. I told LOOT to sort and it's right at the bottom, where it was before (doing it all in order so I haven't installed anything after it yet, also skipped the mods the STEP guide said I didn't need if I use ENBoost. Because the STEP guide made me install ENBoost).
  11. Hey, I'm trying to install this in accordance with the STEP Core guide and it's saying I need to set "Priority Value" to 970000 in LOOT but I only see "Priority" and "Global Priority" in there and can't set either higher than 127. What am I doing wrong here?
  12. I downloaded with Mod Manager, didn't have Antivirus running or anything, but the connection might've messed up, tried again and it seems to have worked with "STEP DLC Optimized Textures - Standard.bsa" and "STEP Vanilla Optimized Textures - Standard.bsa" under "archives", and it seems to boot alright. Thank you!
  13. Okay, just got another issue, I downloaded the standard version but when I double-click it gives me this error: Nothing in the Archives tab either.
  14. As I said, I couldn't find that anywhere. Just now clicked on the "Files" tab and THEN found it.
  15. I'm really confused, just trying to follow the STEP Core guide and I don't see a mention of this patch or "optional files" anywhere on the linked page. And of course the NMM download link just gives the whole big thing. What do I do?
  16. Alright, I haven't used the Presets since I'm sticking with Core, so thank you for letting me know! :) I'll keep modding down the list, any other issues would probably need a new thread, I'd figure.
  17. Hmmm, Input in enblocal has KeyUseEffect=123 but I don't see just a UseEffect in there or the main INIs, what should I tweak/add?
  18. Okay, I think I managed to make it start! On a whim I set ForceBorderless=false and ForceBorderlessFullscreen=false and after I did it managed to boot up! I could even start a new game and re-enable the Steam Overlay for screenshotting. ...I did that because it seems like ENB is having some kind of problem, though SKSE is running (had some concerns that the SKSE folder layout was wrong but it seems to be running as suggested): I'm unsure about progressing with STEP while things are malfunctioning.
  19. Just as a quick note (sorry for double-posting but I can't see an edit option), I took a quick phone picture of how it looks when booted up: Please forgive the bad quality and reflection.
  20. Okay, I couldn't find the option in Control Panel but I tried disabling it in regedit as advised here: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=6239-DZCB-8600#appreg and I don't see the green bar mentioned but it's still stuck on the black screen with the black window in the corner.
  21. Disabling Steam Overlay doesn't seem to have helped, but I'm still getting a little green bar with "Press Win+G to open Game Bar", does that mean there's another Overlay?
  22. Hey, I was trying to do a STEP Core install on the latest version with my Steam version of Skyrim, but when I got to the step with booting up SKSE the game won't load, instead I get a full black screen with a little blank black window in the upper-left corner too. I apologize that I couldn't get a screenshot, PrintScreen doesn't do anything (Likely due to the related INI tweak) and F12 seems to show the game running: It seems to mention stuff about ENB and I can hear the music playing but even when I wait, it still just stays at the black screen with black window in the upper-left for me. I followed everything for doing a STEP Core install (Using Mod Organizer like instructed) with the only odd things being: • I had to use the Program Files folder (but I've disabled UAC while I'm doing this so it seems to not be causing any issues). • I was forced to install (and then promptly removed) a random mod under the "default" profile to get through the Mod Organizer tutorial. • In MO it lists the three DLCs but not the HighResTexturePack things. • When doing the INI Tweaks, I did NOT set bShowTutorials=0, I left it normal because this'll be the first time I properly play Skyrim (I've briefly tried it, but barely got past character creation due to hearing about "essential" mods on TV Tropes, which is what lead me to STEP). • When setting up ENB I did the optional step with setting up ForceBorderless=true and ForceBorderlessFullscreen=true because I heard it would let me Alt+Tab normally. • I set up SKSE following the GamePoets video because the wiki guide initially confused me with the remark on installation (that's resolved now). My Mod Organizer setup looks like this (was afraid to use LOOT at this point in case sorting would cause new issues): These are the contents of enblocal.ini: Here are the contents of skse.ini: And here's how the SKSE folder setup came out: Thanks in advance and if there are any other details needed, by all means ask, I'm not entirely certain what would and wouldn't be relevant for all this.
  23. Alright, I'll go do so since I waited a bit and it didn't seem to resolve itself. The part that threw me off was the bit saying to "download and install the latest archive". I wasn't sure how I was supposed to install it, the later steps mentioned about moving the .exes and .dlls but I thought that was meant to come after "installing" it... The GamerPoets video set me straight though (still not too sure I have the folder set up right). Thank you anyway, I'll be off to make the topic!
  24. Hey, sorry if this is the wrong topic (if it is, could I be pointed to the right one?) but I was trying to follow the installation instructions for STEP Core (only deviations were that I had the 3 DLCs but not the HighResTexturePack files in MO to begin with, I did the optional step for ENB because I heard it let you Alt+Tab and that I didn't do the tutorial disable in INI Tweaks because this'll be my first proper Skyrim playthrough), I just tried to install SKSE according to the linked video (the written instructions confused me) and when I got to the part with running SKSE from MO, I just got a black screen with a black window in the top left (Showed up normal in screenshots so that's why I don't have one, also I could hear the music normally). If this is the right place, I'll be happy to give any needed info, but I'm not even sure what's necessary (I'll admit I'm a complete noob at this).
