Bit of Confustion, Step + other mods + wrye bash?
VonDoom replied to ashton's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Don't have the time to respond to everything right now, but essentially you should always use a Bashed Patch, regardless of whether you do the full STEP setup or not. Among other things, it fixes up the leveled lists from your mods so they won't overwrite each other -- meaning that items won't get distributed properly if you don't create a Bashed Patch. There is probably more to it, but I'm not really an expert. -
I recently saw 'Better Jumping' by meh321 upon browsing the Nexus top files and, to my surprise, didn't find a topic about it on here. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/65044 Has this been examined for potential future inclusion yet? The double jump option isn't on by default and running jumps seem like a big improvement. Plus, it's an SKSE plugin, so no extra ESP.

Does anyone know if the Heavy Weaponry perks that reference 'all bladed weapons' (Open Wound) and 'all piercing weapons' (Heart Seeker) and such really apply to all of them and thus also giving Light Weapons a boost (like how Heavy Weapon Combat and Light Weapon Combat stack together), or just Heavy Weapons?

ACCEPTED Book Covers Skyrim (by DanielCoffey and doccdr)
VonDoom replied to dstansberry's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Not entirely sure if there is a more correct and specific way to answer that, but LOOT placed Book Covers Skyrim.esp above PerkusMaximus_Master for me. -
It already is. The PerMa Compatibility and PaMa Patches (PCaPP) even include an optional version deemed appropriate for PerMa playthroughs.

Book Covers Skyrim - Lost Library
VonDoom replied to DanielCoffey's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
I haven't actually tried PerMa out yet since I'm waiting for a couple more compatibility matters to clear up -- the changes to the basic perk tree concepts (Locksmith/Wayfarer) are the same, so ... as you say, it should work fine, thinking some more about it. I think a couple perk trees were renamed, but that's superficial -- nice to have identical, but hardly gamebreaking. -

Amazing mod, I must say! Any chance for a PerMa patch, now that it's out? :) -

Excuse me, whilst I force-inject EssArrBee with some RadAway. -

Yeah, that's what I meant by waiting, actually -- CC&C wise, she's still in the list if you send her home, just in Wait mode. Sorry, wasn't entirely clear. And yeah, I suppose you can change it. I didn't really look into it, because I actually like that time slows down when you're fiddling with the commands for your companions. Never use the bullet time for anything else, either. VATS for life, yo. -

Pretty much. Been running around with Veronica, Cass and Russel for quite awhile. Also had Willow on Wait for the entire time, since she can't be dismissed without losing her. -
GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
VonDoom replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
I have CC&C running in my installation of FLNV and have had it since I began the current run. I'm at level 30 now and it runs quite well. Had up to 6 companions running with me and no problems, beyond the game starting to lag a bit faster in some areas, even with those extremes. With a smaller number, no trouble at all, though the character screen does activate Project Nevada's Bullet Time, it's not really a problem. Things slowing down a bit while you issue orders is probably a good thing, unless you're really into the hardcore experience. Edit: Should probably mention, still not using the Overheating mod. -

Hence why I'll be starting a new one, wasn't very far in anyway. Oh, are any of you using an ENB with the current setup? Any recommendations, perhaps? -

Recent updates were made to Willow (and Russel as well as Bounties II, but they're not on the list yet). Also, that new Vault 22 Flora Overhaul sure looks pretty. I'll try it, though I'm pretty sure I'll be starting another new playthrough due to the new updates and some extra mods I added, so I dunno when I'll get to actually check it out. -

Found this little mod recommended on the Interior Lightning mod, seems like a great addition/alternate option to using the flashlight: Glow Sticks -

There are radio station mods set up to add your own playlist, if you're interested in making one: Radio Active Channel Extender -
I finally figured it out! For some reason, I had to manually activate the various .bsa files under the archives sub-menu in MO. Not sure if activating ALL the .bsa in the core data folder was the right thing to do, but the Courier fellow (and gal) looks right as rain now.

Same problem with Breezes. And I checked again with a female character -- hadn't noticed it before because it's not quite as visible, but it definitely looks odd as well. https://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k59/TricksterLoki_2006/ScreenShot3_zps68115ba7.jpg Restored Roberts, tried without FCO - no change, except of course for the face.
-
Nope, no ENB. Maybe I should try to install Robert or FCO via the FOMM method? Or is there some way to try the archive invalidation for those two manually within the MO frame?
-
The .ini edits were among the first things I tried, de- and reactivating archive invalidation doesn't help either, sadly. Tried it out with the 'Vanilla' guide setup (plus Thermal, because I'm not screwing around with that one again if it's so much trouble to get to work with everything), so it's not any of the other stuff I tagged on at the end either and it seems unlikely that Thermal itself causes trouble with skin textures.
-
Well, removing the two custom races didn't do anything, either. No clue what the problem could be, then, I followed the bashed patch instructions exactly. This is what's going on: https://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k59/TricksterLoki_2006/ScreenShot1_zps2f1635c1.jpg https://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k59/TricksterLoki_2006/ScreenShot2_zpsb5f42899.jpg

Sorry, double post, but ... reinstall didn't help. Maybe the bashed patch merging is the problem? I'm starting to get a bit out of my depths. Or could it be because I also installed the Rugged Race? I'll test how it goes without it.
-
Thanks, I'll have a look at it! Though, came upon something that's not entirely worked out -- Roberts Male Body. Specifically, I'm getting those black bars that the description says are related to Automatic Archive Invalidation. That's activated on my MMO, though. Currently checking to see if a reinstall of both Robert and FCO will help. Edit: Oh, wait, I'm a fool ... Spice of Life is already on the list. *slaps forehead* EssArrBee: I'm adding this discussion to the Support forum so if anyone else has the problem they can see the answer. It is on post #12. Just click the BSAs in the BSA tab to get the bars to go away.
