CTD when loading a save.

secreth

Question

So i have been following S.T.E.P core point by point. All i did was taking HQ for most options.

So first of all my specs are:

i5 4670k OC to 4.2 Ghz

16gb 1600mhz ram

GTX 980 4gb VRAM

SSD

So i am still installing i have gone into the game after each section i have installed to test if i had to lower textures and such. The game is very stable even with enb on i never drop under 55 fps and i am mostly on 60 fps all the time. Now there is a few mods i have installed outside the guide which is just a must have for me: Interesting NPCs, immersive armors and weapons and Jaysus swords. The last section i finished installing was Clothing and equipment so any mods under that i havnt done yet. Including bashed patch.

My issue is i can start a game, go to a town save and then get killed upon loading last save i will CTD, i can quick save and then quick load i will CTD. I can also do a normal save and then load that save and CTD so basicly only when loading a save game will CTD. Ive had this issue under installments of mods before just never tracked the problem. Last time i had this issue i didnt have iNPC installed. Anyone experienced the same thing or have any idea how to track the problem causing it?

Cheers.

EDIT: Forgot to mention i am using the Sheson memory patch through SKSE.ini and i am fairly sure my vram and ram setting in enblocal.ini is correct aswell.

ExpandSystemMemoryX64=true: Try setting this to false and see if you have the same issue. People have had problems with that setting in the past.

VideoMemorySizeMb=33792: if you have 16 Gig of RAM and a 4gig card this number seems a bit strange.

It was default from the enb preset. Doesnt matter really since max is 10892 i believe cant renember the exact number. But anything higher wont make a change basicly.

Alright i edited VideoMemorySizeMb=7907 now which is the exact number for my system that wasnt the issue. So doesnt sound like this is a common problem, is there a crash report thing so i can track the issue then?

I didn't think it was the memory settings. Just pointed out that they were incorrect. My assumption is that you have a mod conflict with one of the non-STEP mods. I would suggest installing just STEP. Once that's running good and stable, then add in a few of your non-STEP mods and test after every few mods until you run into the issue. That'll give you the mod(s) that is causing the problem.

Yeah i was afraid of that, i finally just finished modding comepletely. STEP Extended and then some of my personal preference mods. Used tes4edit merge (cause of perkus maximus) and bashed patch. The game is completely stable no bugs so far. I pick most option in HQ and i have RealVision ENB on medium if i set player.setav speedmult 300 i can run without dropping below 55 fps. But loading a save will crash me no matter what. That is what is weird.

hmm the only thing that I can think of is that you have some errors in a couple of plugins.

I would go through and note what plugins have errors.

To do this, load up xEdit and select a group of plugins and select "Check for Errors"

I put these settings in skyrim.ini

[Papyrus]

fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS=500.0

bEnableLogging=1

bEnableTrace=1

bLoadDebugInformation=1

And now i dont crash anymore, what kind of sorcery is this..

I did load of xEdit and its checking for errors now, could take awhile.
