Windows 8.1, Mod Organizer and the 4GB exe -> All text has disappeared!

Question

Hello!

I've stumbled upon a weird issue that I haven't encountered or read about before. I'm running Windows 8.1 and a fresh install of Fallout New Vegas with no mods so far. I'm trying to get Mod Organizer and the 4GB exe to work together, but despite following all of the advice, tips and workarounds it's still not happening. Right now I can launch the 4GB exe through Mod Organizer. The game starts, I can load a save and 'play'. The problem is that all of the text has disappeared or is invisible. I can only navigate the main menu by memory, the ingame popups regarding the DLC is missing the text as well.

This issue does not happen if I start the game on its own with the normal exe.
This issue does not happen if I start the 4GB exe on its own.

It only happens if I start the either the normal or the 4GB exe through Mod Organizer.

NVSE is being loaded, it doesn't matter if I'm using NVSE stable or beta.
I'm using NVAC, without it the game crashes before arriving at the main menu. NVAC seems to be working, the log is showing several handled errors. (Pastebin)
Yes, I've added '-laaexe .\FalloutMO.exe' to the launch arguments, that helped me get around the access is denied error but produced this text error.
I did try compatability modes, I've tried starting MO, the 4GB or both as administrator. No dice.

I've arrived at a point where I really don't know what it could be or what I could try next. One thing I do know, however, is that I can't go back to the pre-MO modding, so I'm turning to you helpful people and hope that someone here has an idea.

Thanks in advance!

Edit:

I deleted all of the fallout .inis as well in case some of my text/font settings were messed up, but that didn't work either.

I tried several configurations (with/without arguments, NVAC, admin rights) with the beta version of MO, still the same issue. I'm just baffled, the fact that the game suddenly does not display text anymore is inexplicable to me.

Okay, when you say a fresh install of FNV, does that mean you deleted everything and reinstalled the game or did you just delete all you old mods?

I deleted everything. The official BSAs, the .inis, everything. I've had bad experiences with modding 'remnants' ::P:

Did you run the vanilla launcher once before starting the game?

Is the game in the Program Files or Program Files (x86) folder?

I ran it before starting it, yes. And as I already mentioned, the game works fine with or without the 4GB exe as long as I'm not using MO to start it. The game (and steam itself) is on my second HDD, so no permission problem in regards to the location.

Install DarnUI and UIO. See if that can force the darn fonts to show up in game.

It works. I have no idea why, but it does. Thank you!

Still strange. I deleted the .inis, there was absolutely no reference to Darn fonts, I checked. There still isn't (because UIO does that automatically). Really weird.

Anyway, thank you very much, now I can properly waste my evenings on installing mods again ::D:

I too have no idea what the problem is, but if you're like me then you would never play without Darn anyways, and UIO is a must as well, so just go with it. The only thing I can think of is that you didn't delete the profile's INIs, you deleted the ones in you Documents folder. Each profile has it's own set stored in MO\profiles\<profile name>.

It's a separate instance of MO, just the zipped program. There shouldn't be any previous profiles. Anyway, thanks again, now I can finally mod in the comfort of a virtual file system.

Hi guys I'm new here so hopefully this is the right place to post this.

When I try launching Skyrim SE through Mod Organizer 2 I get the error "REL/Relocation.h(567): failed to open file"

Before this error I was getting the error "REL/Relocation.h(548): failed to open file" but I uninstalled and reinstalled the engine fixes and SKSE libraries. After doing that and relaunching I get the error I mentioned above. Do you guys know what I could have done wrong? I'm really new to messing with mods so it's probably something I did wrong... I've made sure all plugins are enabled and all mods are installed with their masters except for the ones below because I can't find the appropriate mod that goes with it so maybe that could also be the issue. I'm pretty sure I have "Blues Skyrim" but the creator renamed it so that's why MO2 is detecting it as missing. Idk if that's the case with the other ones though.

      Missing masters:

      Master                                                                               Required By

      Blues Skyrim.esp                                                              Eli_Breezehome [PATCH - DOS (Director's Cut) SE VER1.4] (STD).esp

Skyrim Better Roads - All In One - Merged.esp                Settlements Expanded SE - Skyrim Better Roads Patch.esp, Skyrim Better Roads - All In - One - Merged - PATCHED.esp

      Soljund's Sinkhole.esp                                                      Settlements Expanded SE - Soljunds Sinkhole Patch.esp

Tes Arena - Skyrim Frontier Fortress.esp                         Settlements Expanded SE - Legendary Cities Patch - AIO.esp

Whistling Mine.esp                                                           Settlements Expanded SE - Whistling Mine Patch.esp

also another problem is when I run LOOT it gives me the error

      Loot failed to run
      Errors:
      Cyclic interaction detected: ELE_SSE.esp --[Master]-> SoS_ELE_Patch.esp --[Group]-> Luminosity Lighting Overhaul.esp --[Master]-> SoS_Luminocity_Patch.esp --[Group]-> ELE_SSE.esp

If anyone knows what I could do to fix this, that would be amazing. Thank you

      Hi there peoples,

First time posting, so if this isn't allowed please just let me know. Looking for a bit of support, as been scratching my head for ages now and getting nowhere.

I have used MO2 + xEdit in the past and never had any issues with it. However, decided to mod Fallout NV again. When trying to run FNVEdit through MO2, it doesn't seem to complete the action as LOOT tells me after cleaning that it still needs cleaned. I have made sure the installation directory for MO2 isn't in the Fallout folder. It's all on my C drive (SSD). Tried running as admin ect. Clearing read only. Just can't seem to get it working.

Any advice or help is appreciated.

      Thanks
