Anyone gotten this to work?  I rebuilt my setup yesterday - started fresh, all new downloads, followed the guide as of yesterday.

 

BTW:  HUGE THANKS FOR THAT NEO.  From what I've seen so far, it's the best Skyrim setup I've played.

 

On top of the mods in the guide, I've added a bunch of tattoos/warpaints, additional hair and eyes, Ethereal Elven Overhaul, Deadric Dawnbreaker, the LotR Weapon set, Hunterborn, Harvest Overhaul and AutoHarvester2.  To this point, all is working fine.

 

This morning I added PerMe and PCaPP.  I ran the "more heapspace" reproccer and within 2 seconds the process threw a "null pointer exception", which from what I gather means an incompatible mod.

 

Since there are nearly 200 plugins at this point, I'm trying to determine if it's in the SR:LE base or one of the mods I added.  I'm thinking it's Hunterborn at this point, but before I start dropping mods, I wanted to make sure if anyone was running the combination and what might be causing it.

EDIT:    I'm a dunce, I see the Bashed Patch after.   Still in 10, you'll need to remove all Levelled references from the Merged Patch, and Clean Masters.   EDIT again: As a 6.5 maybe: Adjust load ord

Nope. Just put it in there. Don't even need to repatch. As long as it's after the PerMa esp, and before the patched esp you should be good.

I have been working through MY SR:LE "ish", I got rid of COT in the process, load order one by one to determine what the problem for me is. I am down to maybe four mods and am beginning to think it is my merged or bashed patch. I have been running the patcher without creating these and have been doing OK.

Load order is a big issue with PerMa. You need to read through the post here.

 

LOOT is only a base, you will need to hand place most esp's. That's what the biggest problem is with SR:LE and PerMa; Load Order. The "null" problem is explained in the forums of PerMa and the compatibility patch. You should read through it all. You will not get it to work otherwise. Check out this guys LO in that forum as well to get an idea of how wrong LOOt is.

Honestly, at this point, if I can't use the mods that I want to use, I'm probably going to run without PerMa.  I may fallback and just get SkyRe running until PerMa has had a chance to mature.

 

My next big question is this:  If I can't depend on the load order of LooT, should I step back and use BOSS?  Is BOSS' masterlist even being updated anymore?

The patcher has been completing just fine for me. I followed the tweaks on the PCaPP page (installed the java 8, tweaked the arguments line for Patchus Maximus to include '-Xmx1024m') everything works fine now for my build. The PCaPP patches have been coming fast (sometimes a new one each day) so check it often if you haven't started a play through yet.

 

As for LOOT, I added a few metadata rules to get things placed according to Raulfin's recommendations... but I do change the skyproc order and run them individually rather than all at once: Run ASIS ->sort with LOOT, Run Patchus Maximus ->sort with LOOT, finish with DSR. Also, I still make the bashed patch before running the Skyprocs. I noticed before the last PCaPP update, some of the NPC perks (NPC Enchant fix) from ASIS were not getting merged but patch 1.6.1 fixes that.

Getting PerMa up and running and playing with load orders makes me understand Neov's reasoning behind not using LOOT even more now. You need to hand place esp's and there are still no patches for all the mods included in SR:LE. I got it working with the STEP guide though.

Awesome, it was working fine when I dropped it in, just wanted to see if I could save a plugin. I thought that I could fix it myself in edit, but it seemed that the record was pointing to the right mesh. I guess it was a keyword thing?
