xExekut3x Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 I'd like to get an understanding of different people's game strategies for Requiem. Just in the opening sequence of Skyrim, I've tried several different play-styles, and I've noticed archery is the best. I can't say if it's overpowered or if melee/spells are under-powered; all I know is that with archery I can one-shot enemies, while with melee or spells, I get OWNED! Is this how Requiem is supposed to be? Is my configuration screwed up? I'm seriously confused!
Smile44 Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Requiem is an unleveled world so that many enemies are better armed and are of a higher level than you. You pretty much have to focus on animals and single bandits at the start. Magic is very difficult at first but you do become very powerful later, there are severe penalties for wearing any armor whilst casting spells, which eventually become offset by perks. Archery does give you a fighting chance early on but you can also be one shot killed by enemies. You can play any type of build successfully but some are easier to start out with than others. Decide what kind of build you want then consider the strengths and weaknesses of the character. Think and plan, guard against weaknesses and play to strengths and with a little patience your character will become a force to be reckoned with.
MaximilianPs Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 I play archery one hand with shield, but draugr are a problem. They are immune to darts so you have to enchant arrows
