Sombient Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Hello, I'm following the STEP 2.2.8 guide and have a quick question about installing STEP:Core with the option to go to STEP:Extended if my system can handle it. Â The guide provides an install order that has Core and Extended patches mixed together on the same list, but no indication if Extended can be installed after a Core install. If I install just the STEP:Core patches, do I have to start with a vanilla install if I want to try a STEP:Extended install or just install Extended on top of Core? Should I instead do a full install of STEP:Core and STEP:Extended, leaving only the Core mods active in ModOrganizer until I'm ready to try Extended? Thanks for your guidance, .s.
EssArrBee Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 With Mod Organizer you can create a copy of your current STEP Core profile. From there you can install the extended mods, just remember to drag them to the correct place they are listed in the guide on the left pane of the list.
Sombient Posted February 26, 2014 Author Posted February 26, 2014 Thanks. Thought I was in the General Support Forum. Sorry, too many tabs open. Let's consider this answered and get the thread closed. Answer was: Install all of Core, test to heart's content. In MO, copy the Core profile and create one for Extended, install all of the Extended mods and adjust mod list to maintain the STEP order, then pray for no sutter/CTDs during testing. 1
