Spiffyman Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 Well, since some interiors use exterior lighting, that's probably the issue. They are releasing 3.0.1 in a few hours that fixes a couple places, so they are definitely working on it.
Nachtfrost Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 I'm not quite sure with the RCRN installation. Should I use the premium fxaa of RCRN or should I disable it to use SSAA with my GTX580? Concerning the overbright spots.I justed tested out my installation of STEP and tested for around half an hour. When I was running up the way to Skyborn Altar and turned around quickly (looking now on the plains west of Whiterun), it seemed like my character was blinded by a flash grenade for a short moment. Not only the cloudy sky but also the distant terrain (mountains in this case) were pretty bright, the near surroundings including trees and herbs up to a certain edge remained just fine. Could this also be an issue of RCRN or Enhanced Distant Terrain?
stoppingby4now Posted June 4, 2012 Author Posted June 4, 2012 It very well might be RCRN. You could test in the same spot after removing RCRN to verify.
Nachtfrost Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 I can tell now that this issue also occurs without RCRN. RCRN only enhances the effect a little bit because of the higher contrast.
frihyland Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 There are a number of vanilla meshes and uv maps that will cause the issues you are having, most of them are located in Windhelm that I am aware of, but there are bound to be others in the world.
Besidilo Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 The new version is up. https://www.rcrncommunity.com/download
JudgmentJay Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Even though I'm currently in love with Seasons of Skyrim, the upcoming version of RCRN sounds pretty amazing. SMAA, HD snow textures, more weathers, new cloud textures, DLC support, and a customization GUI with a crapload of new features.
EisDrache Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 I personally still find this the best lighting mod with one of the least performance impact.
