Question

I followed the STEP SSE guide, but after setting up DynDOLOD according to the settings, Skyrim CTDs within 15 sec of starting.

Further info: I did go through the guide with the intention to have an ENB, but that was making the game crash as well so I decided against it and reinstalled the mods with the blue tabs in the guide.

When you say 15 seconds of starting, is that 15 seconds of starting a new game or loading a save, or launching the executable? Check for a crash log in Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\SKSE that may help identify the issue.

I start a new game, create a character, and within 15 seconds of naming the character the game crashes.

Read https://dyndolod.info/Official-DynDOLOD-Support-Forum, in particular which logs and debug logs to upload when making posts. As explained, also pay attention to all log messages.

Read https://dyndolod.info/FAQ "ILS or CTD" and also read ..\DynDOLOD\docs\DynDOLOD-README.txt includes in the DynDOLOD Standalone archive.

Post the entire crash log.

That certainly doesn't seem like a complete crash log. Did you only post part of it?

Still no log or debug log.

This looks like a navmesh issue.

Why do you believe this crash has anything to do with the LOD mod generated by DynDOLOD? What rudimentary troubleshooting have you done?

Issues presented themselves after LOD generation. I can attach the sse log but the debug log is too large; is there a way to send it over?

Re-download and reinstall Alternate Start - LAL and then sort with LOOT and try again with a new game.

No luck, same CTD issue

Have you tested what happens without the DynDOLOD output being installed?

DynDOLOD does not affect navmeshes (pathing) or vice versa.

In case of making posts related to the process or for error reports, always upload/paste these files to a file upload service or text sharing service

I have not tried that; does that just mean disabling the output mods at the end of the load order and leaving everything else enabled?

Disabling the DynDOLOD output in the left mod list window of MO2 is the same as not installing the DynDOLOD output.

Still same issue, so may not be LOD after all. What's the best support channel for just general crash issues?

Nvm, found it.  Thank you so much for the help!
