I played Skyrim SE mostly in German, but I want to chnage it into English, because it's easier to play without translation and i can use more mods. I already changed my langauge in steam, but there is still half of the game in English. Any help apreciated

My only ideas are:

  1. You have incompatible language localization in your save game(s). Test using a brand new game.
  2. You have mods still pointing to German localization that you have forgotten about. Test on a new vanilla game.
  3. Steam did not ammend your language settings properly. Verify integrity of game cache via Steam > {gameName} > Properties

The ini settings used by BethINI will by default grab the language that is already in your INI file. If switching languages in between, you will need to either delete your INI files and regenerate them via the launcher, or modify the language to reflect your updated preference in the Custom tab of BethINI.

I'm honestly uncertain about what value corresponds to each language, but the default for English appears to be "en." I am unsure if German would use "ge," "de," or "german." Only way to be certain would be to delete the INI files and regenerate from the launcher first.
