If there are visual issues in the game, then make useful screenshots of them and upload those screenshots together with the log and debug log for that generation.
Always use the latest version. Maybe something changed in the meantime, maybe not. You do not have to do a full generation. Just Tamriel without extra options Occlusion etc. A small test load order with minimum required mods.

Use this version, it includes updates for unofficial patch.

I tested Alpha 140 with the updated USSEP rules: SUCCESS. Thank you much.

Some bad screenshots for a problem report, but good enough for a success report: Tamriel LODs > Before fix > After fix

image.jpegimage.jpegimage.jpeg

I had rushed to thinking this was related to Parent > Child but now realize this has nothing to do with it. The problem would be same with it disabled.

Which got me thinking further. As the goal of the Parent > Child feature is to make the city exteriors consistent between parent and child, as well as make the child references consistent with the parent object LODs, it might be helpful to issue a log warning when a perfect parent/child match within a single plugin (i.e. the "ignore master" case) is broken by another plugin overriding it. For example, another plugin might move, resize or disable either parent or child reference, which would produce bad and unexpected results for the Parent > Child feature. Such a warning would help identify the cause of the discrepancy.

Thanks.

Hello,

i'm not 100% sure this is a dyndolod problem, but it seems so. i have lod problems at the northeast coast region in skyrim. Distant Ice Bergs seem to have very poor quality. I have installed Skyland AIO with Majestic Landscapes and Majestic Mountains. Please have a look:

https://ibb.co/sQxVS8J
https://ibb.co/Tr8svmZ
https://ibb.co/T286C8p
https://ibb.co/CtkFKB2

Any ideas what i could do?

PS: I'M using Dyndolod 3.0 Alpha and deactivating Majestic Mountains + Landscapes doesn't solve the problem.

Read the first post and/or https://dyndolod.info/Official-DynDOLOD-Support-Forum#Post-Logs which TexGen/DynDOLOD logs and debug logs to upload when making posts.

Read https://dyndolod.info/Official-DynDOLOD-Support-Forum#In-Game-Screenshots how to make useful screenshots with more informative console.

https://dyndolod.info/Help/TexGen#Rendered-Object-LOD-Textures
Note that the list of rendered object LOD textures is not covering all vanilla rendered object LOD textures. It can update the rendered object LOD textures for the walled cities and most structures. However, far away mountains, icebergs and glaciers are not yet covered. If a mod makes changes to these relevant full textures, it should also include updated pre-rendered object LOD textures.

By default the vanilla LOD models are used. Object LOD does not support any special shaders like parallax for example, so good matching LOD for ice bergs and glaciers is not easy to achieve, especially automatically.

https://dyndolod.info/Mods/Useful-3rd-Party-Mods
Glacier LOD Meshes - updates the vanilla LOD models for glaciers with better UV mapping. Can be used with any game version. No conflict with DynDOLOD Resources.

Hello, I have an error generating with DynDOLOD Alpha 140. The online help said to report it here:

[Main Instruction] Error: Plugin load order too high to copy record into DynDOLOD.esm HavranCastle.esp [REFR:74563FD0] (places Cynn_Ship [STAT:7407738D] in GRUP Cell Persistent Children of [CELL:040142EC] (in DLC2SolstheimWorld "Solstheim" [WRLD:04000800]) at 4,8)

https://ufile.io/f/2w6sl I posted my logs here, I didn't see bugreport.txt

Sorry for long mod order/large file.

Thanks

Generate with this test version https://mega.nz/file/lJ4CTRJY#yMEdGCSbM7w_2s8wFBCRPa5N-ueCArpntkHYiwdXhEQ

It should hopefully run through. Upload new debug log either way.

Try this test version https://mega.nz/file/lJ4CTRJY#yMEdGCSbM7w_2s8wFBCRPa5N-ueCArpntkHYiwdXhEQ

That should fix it.

Having another issue with seasons. Basically when running around during winter I often get around 10-30 second freezes during which audio plays and then the game continues. Happens most often in Whiterun tundra but I got it few times in Falkreath as well. Disabling DynDOLOD output removes the issue. I tested po3's seasons of skyrim plugin versions 1.7.2 and 1.7.5.2 and happened with both. The output was generated with latest version of dyndolod 3 alpha 140 and latest dyndolod NG plugin and resources.

The following logs are with DynDOLOD generated for winter only and only for Tamriel worldspace, but I encountered the same issue when I generated for all seasons and all worldspaces, which was also on DynDOLOD version 140 with latest DynDOLOD NG as well as resources.

Any other information I can provide?

Papyrus.0.log

DynDOLOD_SSE_log

TexGen_SSE_log

DynDOLOD_SSE_Debug_log and TexGen_SSE_Debug_log (Had to upload on Google drive because the files are too big to be accepted by any text sharing service.)

EDIT: Seems like uploaded the wrong log on the last link, uploading correct one.

EDIT 2: The link is now updated with correct logs.

You did remove the old DynDOLOD installation before unpacking the latest standalone into it?

Also upload C:\Users\Ninjo\Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\SKSE\DynDOLOD.log

What season is active? What happens if you force a season or none?
What happens if you disable the Seasons of Skyrim mod with the po3_SeasonsOfSkyrim.dll?

Provide a list of all mods that overwrite DynDOLOD Resources SE.
https://dyndolod.info/Installation-Instructions
Install the Core Files from either DynDOLOD Resources or DynDOLOD Resources SE depending on the used game version as any other mod. Typically overwrite everything else unless another mod specifically instructs to overwrite DynDOLOD Resources. Refer to Load/Overwrite Orders for detailed explanations.
https://dyndolod.info/Mods/Waterfalls
For best visuals and performance typically do not install any 3rd party LOD resources - remove them if necessary.

The active season was Winter. The same issue happens with forcing winter in po3 seasons ini file or just using console command set gamemonth to enter any of the winter months. If I disable seasons from seasons of skyrim mod completely then the issue doesn't appear either.

If you force no season or any other season the issue goes away as well?

Upload DynDOLOD_SSE_ModelsUsed_Tamriel*.txt
What is the total file size of all *WIN.BTO compared to the default *.BTO in ..\meshes\terrain\tamriel\objects\?

Does using tll in console to disable all LOD make a difference?

DynDOLOD Resources SE should overwrite
Beyond Skyrim - Bruma SE
Spice of Life - Orc Strongholds SE
Mrf's Markarth
Water for ENB

Uninstall LOD for DYNDOLOD Experimental Need Test. Those are not LOD models but full models. See if it makes a difference.
Seasonal Landscapes - Unfrozen.esp also includes LOD models that are just renamed full models, hide them. They might only be used at summer season, you could cross check with the log file above it they are used in winter.

My latest run was winter only just for quick test if removing the Bright Waterfall Fix for ENB Dyndolod would've fixed the issue (it didn't), so I don't have default BTOs currently. I will do default + winter season run next and report back. I will also hide/remove the files you mentioned.

Yup, seems like the freezes don't happen at all if I do this.

Update on this. The freezing issue was not resolved with these steps. Size for WIN.BTO files is 6.59GB and default .BTO files 6.34GB.
