I don't recall off hand. I can't really think of any reason that it would matter besides if a user is searching for the "accepted" tag. It's just less work to be done later.

The only things that need to wait to just before release are under the "Just Prior to Release" header. Dropping mods is way up under the Forum Workflow so I do not see any reason not to go ahead and drop them as part of the procedures for adding new mods (creating mod page, updating thread with boilerplate...which is why I always use it when making a new mod thread; to eliminate one step...updating changelog, updating the dev thread, moving the mod to Anthology...might as well add in dropping the mod being replaced in there as well since you're already there...geez that's a lot just for one mod when accepted!)
