I do have both SSE Engine Fixes and SSE Fixes. I did a reinstall just to make sure they weren't out of date or installed incorrectly but both seem to be working fine. The issue still persists.

Why do you have both? See if only using SSE Engine Fixes, which contains the same fix as SSE Fixes, make a difference.

To be sure. The issue does not exist when hiding the meshes\terrain\tamriel\trees\ folder?

What happens if you don't hide that folder and...

... instead lower the tree LOD distance in the DynDOLOD Skyui MCM Settings page?

... instead hide textures\terrain\tamriel\trees\? Tree LOD will obviously look all wrong, but what about the issue itself?

I managed to solve the problem, I did a few things so I'm not entirely positive what the root cause was. I uninstalled SSE fixes in favor of Engine Fixes. I removed Skyrim 3D trees and did a reinstall of that plus all related LODs and billboards. I also downloaded SSE Display Tweaks which is probably unrelated. More than likely there was some problem with 3D trees, I believe the author did an update very recently for performance and technical reasons so it seems like that may have been the cause. I am now running DynDOLOD on high with 4k texture packs smoothly at 60fps with little to no stutter or frame dips. Thank you so much for taking the time to help. Do you have a place where I could toss a few bucks your way or towards something you support?

Hello, first of all, thank you for all the work!

I still have a small issue, maybe this was already asked, but the thread is long....

Some objects near solitude are still showing this rather ugly LOD texture, which is coming from \Textures\DynDOLOD\lod\DynDOLOD_Tamriel.dds.

This was also ugly before DynDOLOD (there was another file, it came from \Textures\terrain\Tamriel\objects\tamriel.objects).

I had hope it would be better with DynDOLOD.

Is there anything I can do about this?

DynDOLOD uses the LOD models and textures it finds in the load order. As is well known, TexGen updates a select list of object LOD textures but not the pre-rendered ones. Pre-rendered object LOD textures need to be updated manually.

The HD LODs Textures SE mod updates that one. Maybe it fits your load order well enough.

If not, you could use mesh rules to use the full model for LOD.

after downloading the new version i cant use tex gen and dyndolad with MO2

The tools work fine with MO since 6 years.

Carefully read the included manual, install the tools according following the installation instructions.

Carefully read all log messages or prompts and fix whatever the installation/setup problem is. If you need help reading the messages, post them so people actually know what your issue is and can attempt to help you.

i get an error saying editing is disabled

That is only the last message of the log. As I said, carefully read all log messages or prompts and fix whatever the installation/setup problem is.

If you need help reading all log messages, post an error report with entire contents (not just the last couple lines) of ..\DynDOLOD\bugreport.txt (if it exists) and ..DynDOLOD\Logs\DynDOLOD_[GAMEMODE]_log.txt to pastebin.com or to a file service.

where can i find old versions?

The current version works exactly the same as all the versions before it in regards to the command line arguments. Outdated versions are removed to prevent users using buggy or inferior versions.

Fix the real problem instead.

So I'm pretty sure DynDOLOD is the cause of a CTD whenever I fast travel to either Markarth or Windhelm (maybe more places) because I don't CTD when I disable the esp. But, using the DynDOLOD, Net Framework or Papyrus logs tell me nothing about any nifs or possible causes other than Dyndolod.esp, so I'm not really sure where to go other than disabling some of many mods at a time, regenerating the DynDOLOD files and testing which would take longer than I'd like.

Is there anything you can tell me that'd help?
