Fallout 3 radio music stops playing after pausing the game?

Whenever I press esc to pause the game the radio music stops playing. This also happens on my mostly vanilla game with

-unofficial fallout 3 patch

-casm

-stutter remover

However, the radio starts playing again once i deselect it and reselect the radio station on the radio pipboy?
