The new version of ETaC also has a "compatibility" option for Immersive Citizens. It doesn't really do a whole ton of stuff, since for the most part I just tried to stay way the hell out of ICAIO's way, BUT, for the few remaining little things (wood piles in bushes and such) compatibility-mode. WOO!

I tested it with the latest version of ICAIO and it appears to be working as expected. BUT BUT BUT there's really only so sure I can be about that without additional feedback. Which is where YOU come in. Hooray, you! So any of you who are using Immersive Citizens FULL version and would like to help me out with some feedback on any problems and/or things I missed, it would be greatly appreciated.

NOTE: This patch does not touch ANY of Immersive Citizen's content. None of it. Not a single. little. thing. It does not even technically require ICAIO as a master file. (It only modifies ETaC's crap as to be -hopefully- more compatible.)

It is a good habit to read description pages, forums, ect to update knowledge from 2015. I am waiting awhile than will add it after I am sure it will play well with ICAIO.

That isn't much of a patch though is it. Sounds like the author of ETAC has removed some of the assets in an attempt to make it less conflicting with ICAIO. Why should they have to do this?

I agree with Arthmoor's opinion on the matter personally, to just load ICAIO before any town and city overhauls. It has worked so far for me, although i haven't used ETAC since my last STEP-REGS install so don't know conflicting it is.

Also ETAC, iirc, was a pain to set up correctly even folllowing REGS instructions especially with other twon and city mods. Maybe thats changed but i haven't looked at ETAC recently since it has in no way been mentioned as being part of this guide and it wasn't in the classic guide either.

so apparently the fire brightness can be tuned by played around with the bloom shader by increasing the CC inwhite settings. Or in the enbseries section you can lower lightsprite intensity. So if someone can play around with that and let me know what you come up with that would be good.

I was playing around some more last night and have had some good results with Re-engage ENB, ELFX interiors, Obsidian weathers and Obsidion mountain fogs and the results have been quite nice in all conditions so far interior and exerior. I try and capture some screens soon or maybe a short video.

I really think that it is going to be a case of picking you poison, so to speak, and making your own slight adjustments to the ENB. One thing with Re-engage is that it seems to be easily configurable so it shouldn't take too much for people to set it to preference.

HQ paper has an SSE page.

There are also a few conflicts with Book covers which LOTD also uses.

"The conflicting files between Book Covers Skyrim v4.1.3 English and HQ Paper v2.3 are the following:

ahh didn't realize it had been ported I'll switch that. As for the overwrites let HQ paper win over LOTD.

No not the enhancer as that is incompatible with Obsidian. For exteriors you'll need to adjust the ENB settings in ENBeffect.txt to get it to how you want it. I've just left it default for now and just changed the two values for nights and interiors as i posted before. Exteriors seem ok for me though.

Thats how i have it in mod organizer while testing.

ok thank looking at your load order you missed out:

LOOT Metadata Update Required:ELE_SSE.esp - Set global priority to 76

and realized the rule was wrong in the guide due to copy and paste error

I thought the same but for past 3 weeks I have been using this mod in conjuction with the new obsidian weathers and NVT enb.   I coudnt believe the difference it made, npc's look better imo than they did with Oldrim ENB.

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/14238

I been using Subsurface Scattering Shaders for Skins too so it is going in. I am in two mind about the weather mods i like vivid weathers but then again in like the look of obsidian weathers so many choices. Oh yes we will be using a enb the one i have been testing with was skyrim re-engaged.

In what order should I place the two mods, the Subsurface Scattering Shaders for Skins and the Modern Brawl Fix? Almost all of the files in MBF are also in SSSS, so which should load last?

LOL. I guess life is not always perfect. I'm no expert but I believe ICAIO has become a base mod in a lot of peoples guides so, If you have a city overhaul you probably need to keep that in the back of your head. Also I'm am not sure where you live but people are free to do and make their mods as they wish. I just think its funny when people want to use town overhaul a,b,c ect and than complain about it not working with ICAIO. A lot of my post I was being sarcastic in general and non of it is toward you. I just wanted to post that Jenna does have ICAIO in the back of her mind and she plans on making her new mod a lot easier for her to maintain according to her posts.

Yeah, i haven't done the loot rules yet, although i should have remembered to move ELE to the bottom. Will try and see if it makes much of a difference.

I agree with you to be honest. It would be nice if authors could make proper patches for immersive citizens though. Certainly would make life a lot easier rather than having to choose either/or, or having to live with any potential conflicts.

It is what it is though.

I was looking over ICAIO compatibility list and there might be some new additions to towns and cities and other bit and bob depending on FPS hit and conflicts i was thinking on JKs Riverwood, maybe JKs Whiterun, JKs Skyhaven Arthmoors mods, possibly unique border gates and immersive dayspring canyon. I will also look over Regs and see what extra we can get in this time around. I will look into these when I hit there sections of the guide.

Seems that interiors are kinda dark with the old combo ELFX-Relighting-ELE + Vivid Weathers and Re-Engaged ENB/NVT ENB..

yes they are and fires are very bright I might need a rethink on the lighting mods I am loathed to do it but maybe ELFX should go and we only use Relight and ELE?

I'm using JKs Riverwood+T'Skyrim Rivervood..unfortunately the T's incompatible when using Rigmor + BS Bruma..but I think JKs Riverwood is enough...I was thinking at something like ETaC 14 since Immersive College of Winterhold seems to work with SE but I ended up with Better Cities Solitude which conflicts with Better City Entrances..
