Skyrim Special Edition Enhanced

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

I got annoyed with Oldrim's constant drop in frames and decided to give Skyrim Special Edition a go.

These are some steps I took on modding SSE.

Mods used:

  Reveal hidden contents

Also used Nyclix Reshade.

Some mods from this list can't be found on nexus and some are edited by myself and JD

So be aware that just dropping these mods into the mod manager don't think they would work fine since also there is need for quite a ton of conflict resolving between them.

THIS IS NOT A GUIDE. It's just a suggestion list.

This is what i got: (ULTRA settings) (Also used BethINI with Ultra settings)

This is still early stage but i really like the looks and the stability so far. I got 50-60 fps pretty much everywhere on 1920x1080 monitor.

Just shared this info if someone wants to start modding SSE too.

Also i use Wrye Bash as my mod manager.

If anyone else is modding SSE you can post if you want your ideeas.

I changed some mods:

- Switched Skyrim Flora Overhaul SE  with the Trees Only version

- Added Skyrim Bigger Trees (these are looking good until i can use EVT)

- Added Realistic Aspen Trees SE

- Added WATER for SSE

- Added Purity Falls (modified from Purity mod from Oldrim)

- Added Unbelievable Grass SSE

- Added Nordic Snow

These are looking very nice now. Setup is stable and smooth.

Also modified the Tree LOD brightness to -4

This is the result of the update:

I am still waiting for Kryptopyr's mods before really getting going with SSE.  It really does look and run beautiful, but I don't want to play without CCOR, CACO, Disparity & Trade and Barter.  Sulking back to re-install and mod Oldrim right now cause I miss my Skyrim.

Don't think there's reason to give up on SKSE64 just yet though.  From what I read on the thread and Reddit, they are still committed to getting it finished + SkyUI working with SSE, they've just been busy for the past couple months.

Screenshots look tasty though...

And it is hard to go back to no rain occlusion, arbitrary memory caps and so on.

It maybe will take longer. My best bet we'll get it next year or the fastest is around the end of the year judging by the rate. I might be wrong.

SSE can be very enjoyable with what mods are now on Nexus. It looks great and it's very smooth and stable. When those mods appear it will be a great addition but I will never go back to Oldrim.

About skse 64 i am mostly inclined to believe that the work has ceased, as do others... but one can only hope.

Dyndolod can be used for SSE.

+ the fact that SSS will never happen on SE is really hard to deal with.
