I downloaded Beta 2 from the link provided by this modder which leads to This Github page. And its worked well enough but I've noticed that when I launch the game through MO (FO4) for some reason empty folders with Chinese file names appear in my Fallout 4 folder in "My Games". The folder where the saves are. I have no idea why. Has this happened to anyone else? Does it sound familiar? I'm going to reformat and reinstall windows in case I'm wrong. Was I duped into installing a compromised version of Mod Organizer?

All issues with version 2 of MO should really be made in the GitHub repo. @Tannin is much more likely to see it there than here where we really are a support base, not really part of the development team.

 

About the download you have, no, you aren't duped, that's where @Tannin is developing the next version of MO.

This sounds like issue 753 on the github site. Please remember that MO2 is still in development and you will run into problems, but it is getting better with each release.

 

If you use MO2 beta you should be willing to participate in testing its functionality, researching and posting of bugs on the github site.

Huh?! Where is the dialer.dll? There is no source code for it and I have no such file in my installation.

Its in the installer there is 2 folders one has a bunch of dll in it

So you are looking inside the actual installer executable? Well that explains it then, the installer has to make checks on the status of NCC and also Python and then install any needed files. That will be what the DLL is part of.
