Skyrim Revisited: Legendary Edition News

Recommended Posts

DFD has been deleted from the guide the 29Th of July so i missed it in the history page, thinking it was a durect replacement last night. Not a question of timing here.

Yes DFD has been deleted, but my point is had you of asked this question a couple of days ago, you wouldn't have access* to its direct replacement is all.

Howdy all. Newbie question as I struggle with information overload learning MO/tes5edit,ddsopt and more, am I correct to assume that once I start the install I can't run the revisited profile of MO till full install is done? Reason I ask is I just finished up to timing is everything, next mod is vivid weathers and I launched game to see how text replacer and modified interface looks... I did disable the one patch esp that needs RS children as a master so have no missing masters. Game launches, opening of alternative start plays then CTD when I click bed.. assuming this is because I shouldn't even try to run the profile till full install and CR is done? Or have i screwed up already?

Also two mods so far where you list an optional file that needs installing on top of original, MO gives me a prompt to either merge the optional with the original overwriting files with same name, or else to rename the optional but let it overwrite still.... which of the two is the right option?

I apologize for all the questions, used to adding a few mods with NMM then playing... this is all new to me.

Immersive Citizen A.I updated to 0.3.2 version by its author

The main plugin has been updated to be in line with changes from USLEEP 3.0.5.
The AI used by the citizens living in Riverwood (except Delphine) have been redone in order to improve their quality up to my current standards. Special attention has been adressed to the following NPCs: Gerdur, Hod, Frodnar, Dorthe, Alvor and Sigrid.
The AI used by Ralof and Hadvar once they reach Riverwood during the quest "Before the Storm" has been fully overhauled. Note that to allow Ralof and Hadvar to use their new AI on an old save with immersive Citizens installed, you'll have to reboot the Whiterun Hold area through the MCM menu.
The AI used by Hod, Gerdur and Frodnar during the quest "Before the Storm" (Stormcloak side) has been fully overhauled.
The AI used by Dorthe, Alvor and Sigrid during the quest "Before the Storm" (Imperial side) has been fully overhauled.
The AI used by Lucan & Camilla Valerius during the quest "The Golden Claw" has been fully overhauled.
The AI used by Stump has been improved.
Minor corrections has been made on the AI used by the citizens living in Falkreath.
The compatibility patches for ELE, ELFXEnhancer and ELFX - Hardcore have been updated.

Note that in a near futur, I will also update the AI used by the citizen living in Whiterun, in order to improve her quality and to allow the player to turn off the weather influence for these citizens.
In parallel, I will work on the AI used by the citizens living in Windhelm.
I'm also thinking about opening a patreon account, in order to allow me to work once again on Immersive Citizens at full time.

First off, thanks for the guide. I think this is the first time my Skyrim has truly been stable and playable for consistent periods of time. I think its the leveled lists conflicts that were causing a lot of my CTDs in the past.

The issue I am having is that my framerate simply tanks at many cities and towns, like Whiterun, Riverwood, Falkreath, etc. It dips into the low/mid 40s at Riverwood and Falkreath, and hits the mid/high 30s when I load into Whiterun looking down the main thoroughfare. This is baffling! Never expected a six year old game to tax my system like this, especially since I have pretty decent components. My framerate in almost all other areas is a solid 60+. I've done most of my testing at 1440p but I've tried out 1080p as well, and strangely enough the framerate tanks at 1080p as well! So much for my rock solid 60 fps dreams...  I've been doing a bit of googling, and I'm thinking that it is just an issue that Skyrim has due to inefficient usage of CPU cores?

What are the most taxing parts of the guide for framerates? Obviously the ENB will bite you a little bit, but it seems like AI overhauls or particle effects could have an effect as well? My 1070 should be more than able to handle SMIM's more detailed meshes, I would think.

My Rig: i7 4790, 16GB ddr3 1600mhz, msi z97 mobo, GTX superclocked 1070, crucial 500GB ssd, windows 10 free edition

Windows 10 is most likely your problem. I know because I'm in the same boat. That nice 1070 you have with the 8GB of VRAM on it is only being about half used. Win 8, 8.1, and various flavors of 10 all cap the VRAM usage at 4GB. So you are likely running into that cap. Run SPM and you will be able to tell for sure.

If that's the case, you have two options. Reinstall mods with a lower texture requirement (1K instead of 2K, that sort of thing) until you see that value drop below 4GB in the SPM, or dual boot to Windows 7 (which doesn't impose that restriction).

Bearing that in mind (reinstalling mods with a lower texture) for example I'm installing both NOBLE 2k and performance and running 2k initially.  If I need to pare back to Noble performance would I have to run DYNDOLOD again?

Are there any music overhauls available for this and if so what steps have to be taken to install Safley?

On phone apologies for brevity. Look into immersive sound compendium to load after aid to finish off sfx. It has patches for everything. For music fantasy soundtrack project and combat music is solid. Both are trivial installs
