Skyrim Revisited: Legendary Edition News

RDO - Relationship Dialog Overhaul should be available very soon on Nexus.

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/74568/?

So funny story; took a week or so break while I've been getting ready for my A+ Certification exam and now have some free time to try and finish mods and actually play the game. I was skipping through and saw the above post and it reminded me of a mod I wanted to check on but couldn't remember it's now. I googled follower overhaul mods, no luck, I looked over GEMS but still no such luck. After poking around, I finally found the link to the mod that proceeded it and figured out what the mod was called...

Relationship Dialog Overhaul.

Yeah, that was a bit of a facepalm.

Anyways, had another issue though, well not an issue just more of a curiosity. How come we don't use the Enhanced Lighting patch for Immersive Citizens?

Ok everyone just aheads up if you already have DFD and planning to switch to RDO you will need to start a new game.

this is said in the mod page

Your best alternative is the to the following:

  • Go into the MCM for DFD and turn OFF all options. Everything. Turn it all off.
  • For any followers, use the Add Actor option on the Configure Specific Actor page which will make them stop using almost all DFD dialogue.
  • Load RDO after DFD.
  • Is RDO loaded after DFD in your load order? Double check to make sure!
  • Now, triple check that RDO is loaded after DFD.

Your load order when using RDO and DFD together:

- Dynamic Dialogue Followers.esp

- Relationship Dialogue Overhaul.esp

You MUST load RDO after DFD for RDO to work correctly if using them together.

so it seems possible to use it in the middle of a game. Must be tested of course. what is clear is that uninstalling DFD in a middle of a play is a bad idea.

the author added this comment about RDO added in the middle of a agme whis DFD present

I would also recommend stopping the DFD quests using the console to avoid some dialogue line being immediately repeated:

- Open the console, which is the ( ~ ) key next the number 1 on the keyboard

- Type the following:

stopquest dynamicfollowerdialoguefye (press enter)

stopquest dynamicfollowerdialoguefsultry (press enter)

stopquest dynamicfollowerdialoguefeventoned (press enter)

stopquest dynamicfollowerdialoguefdarkelf (press enter)

stopquest dynamicfollowerdialoguefnord (press enter)

SMIM (Version Update)

HD-LOD Buildings (Version Update)

I know that Arri Snow Elf Ruins (+Fix) and Rustic Windows are recommended for HD-LOD Buildings, just haven't had enough time yet to look at it closer. Soon... soon. Damned real life... lol.

Thanks for the update Neo.

A couple of things though regading Real Roads, as they have been reported in its Nexus comment page (look at the 1st page):

  1. The mesh "dweroadscurver01.nif" has some internal issues. Mr. Troublemaker had posted a fixed nif file here (as posted in the comment page).
  2. There have been some reports that some of the mod's meshes are not working well with EBT probably due to their collision setup, resulting in weird textures with blood splatters on roads. Have you experienced this?

Thanks!

Added the fixed mesh link to the guide. I saw those reports but I didn't see a problem... perhaps it might be on a specific road or something like that. Even then it isn't an overly large issue.

So how is RDO testing going? It's seems to have a pretty extensive patch list, is there much in the way of CR to do? I ask because I'm going to have to install it myself into my build in the next day or two, and wondering if I can just get away with using the provided patches, heh.

Vivid Landscapes - Animated Clutter Patch (Thanks To Gutmaw)

Doesn't appear to exist?

Am I missing something?

[EDIT: Just to clarify, you have "Animated Clutter" under optionals in the "VIvid Landscape - All in One" Section (4.5.8.33). Is that a mistake? You have the actual patch file listed later on Section (4.11.6). It's that first one that is confusing, since if you go to the Vivid Landscape page, there is no file called Animated Clutter. Just a head's up :) ]

In the Compatibility Patches section: https://wiki.step-project.com/User:Neovalen/Skyrim_Revisited_-_Legendary_Edition#Vivid_Landscapes_-_Animated_Clutter_Patch

One thing that doesn't exist is the Animated Clutter optional file for Vivid Landscapes itself. But Neo's still working on it, so I'm sure it'll all get sorted. :-)

Fixed that typo... wiki being slow as molasses today so hard to update things. On Vivid Landscapes, it should be in the override section not optionals section (doh!). :)
