  1. I think those are there under the mod in MO. Those 3 files I listed show up under the data tab in the right pane and I believe those are the ones under the script folder (but can't see from work for sure). I've installed DSR twice using the fomod. I'm assuming the install went well.
  2. 99% done, I thought I'd make it all the way through unscathed but alas... WHy on earth doesn't Dual Sheath Redux show as an option under SUM? Asis is there and SUM patches it fine. I see in the data tab under Skyproc patchers : Dual Sheath Redux is right under ASIS with 3 files - Dual Sheath Redux patch.jar and two .bat files for more heapspace 32bit and 64. Reinstalled DSR. Totally stymied. Thoughts?
  3. At the start of the game while in the prison as you angle around the Mara statue the light cuts in and out. The angle from the bed side of the bookcase(?) there is no light. As you move towards her the light pops back. But like I said my install is incomplete. From top to bottom I'm up to the armor textures.
  4. FWIW I too have that candle light issue at beginning of Alternate start. Let me know if you find anything. I'm still in the process of putting together SRLE so maybe it will resolve itself at completion. Maybe the CR will fix it...
  5. What a delightful pile of bits and bytes. Yes thanks STEP community for keeping the torch going strong all these years.
  6. I'm in the process of doing a complete SRLE install and am currently up to the Effects section. I was doing some sample testing and I noticed this checkered snow pattern going up this mountain. I have an Nvidia 980 GTX ti 6g, Windows 10, 355.60 driver and .279 ENB. I ran across a somewhat similar issue googling the problem, it seemed like the driver was too new. I'm doing a completely fresh install on a new rig so I have nothing to really compare it to. Anybody run into something like this?
  7. Mfg Console by kapaer Skyrim » Bug fixes when NPC or creature is in view just hit call up the console(game will pause) and just point at the creature. I believe it gives you levels - at least it did for the vampire I couldn't kill... L 100!
  8. I can see where things can backfire and does limit exploring. But I plan on following the storyline and various added world quests so hopefully a 100 level creature doesn't get in the way TOO much. Was just curious if it's a built in quest or random spawn. Didn't think spawns carried notes but I know little about the world of Skyrim.
  9. Bought the game back in July 2013 and been modding and false starting since then. Never made it past the Greybeards but I'm finally done messing with stuff and am hopefully set up for a lonnnnng playthru. Mostly SR/LE with REQuiem and some REGS. So far so good nothing too wonky. I'm pretty clueless about the game plot and mechanics in general. I'm not a particulary good gamer which is realistic because my character gets smoked constantly. So it's a true battle ! I'm currently level 9 and using REQ 1.73 with SIC. What I'm curious about though is a foe I ran into recently: According to the MSG console mod it's a 100 level Vampire 2300 health adorned with Ebony Regeneration armor ! Is this some kind of random spawn from REQ/SIC due to it's unleveled world or is the Vamp part of a legit plot I accidentally ran into ? The Vamp is located outside of Morvath's lair outside of Morthal. It had a note on it's possession written to offspring from father. Took me over 5 minutes to kill it even using god-mode. I have ZERO chance normally and if I kite it into Morthal the whole town will be wasted - fun stuff !
  10. I don't know how to categorize this problem. It's new to me and I have never read about it on STEP at all. I'm able to enter Falkreath with 3dNPC character Anum-La to inquire about a quest/noble in town. As I move deeper into town I suddenly can't move in any direction. I can turn my head but it's like my legs are locked. Can't jump or sneak either. It's in more than one spot as I also entered from the south too. HOWEVER when I tell Anum-La to wait outside of Falkreath I'm able to move around town with no issues. I'm using 3dNPC 3.08 and the latest ETAC (3.02?). I have Moonpath installed also. Could it be an issue between 3dNPC and ETAC? Could it be due to the vast amount of moving parts in 3dNPC that there's SOME patching needed involving the characters and thier quests ? If I have to abandon the quest/character so be it but I wonder WTH is going on ? lol
  11. "yo ho ho and a bottle of rum ! " What I think Santa says Dec 26. Merry Christmas all !
  12. I had the category filter on. Once I switched to priority I was able to d and d. Every day something new in this world... Thanks!
  13. Totally bizarre. Been using MO for quite a while and haven't experienced this before. I can't drag and drop in the left MOD pane. I CAN drag and drop in the right pane (esp's) so it's not a mouse issue. I haven't messed with mods during my current playthru until tonite so I don't know when this could have occurred. Could something have become corrupt during gameplay ? I'm using MO v1.2.11. I also have no groups selected at the bottom. If I HAVE to upgrade MO (the icon on top right says MO is up to date however) what would be the best way without screwing up my current settings / profiles etc ? Thanks.
  14. @Arci996 - I had the same problem. It's an issue with SMIM chandelier and ELFX. There is a patch that specifically fixes that. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/58061/?tab=2&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D58061&pUp=1
  15. Right now I have SSD#1 which houses my operating system, Steam, MO and the installed mods. I'm currently rolling out playthru#?? Abort should be my character's name... If I add SSD#2 I'm hoping MO install #2 operates on its own. I'd love to experiment/test/build another Skyrim slowly on the side while hopefully moving forward with my current playthru. I don't want to worry about space or installing different versions or accidentally deleting a mod I'm currently using. It sounds like MO intall #2 will work with SSD#2 ? It's still unclear to me whether it absolutely will work and absolutely will not. I suppose I can test this on my D:\ (regular HD) right ? ....
  16. Very good then. Glad I asked. So the correct method would an SSD#2 and another install of MO. Now would I encounter a bottleneck or response issue with the Mods on SSD#2 and the game files on SSD#1 ?
  17. I'm looking to finally push through a long play through but I think I caught the modding bug too and want to continue to build/tweak/create a new Skyrim world without screwing with the existing one. If I'm able to add another SSD to my PC what kind of issues may I run into if I want a whole other separate Skyrim install on the new SSD? I currently run original Skyrim on the SSD which also houses my WIN8 operating system. I'm running MO of course and running out of room so a different profile won't cut it. Thanks !
  18. Ok, If I change the ini in MO to ugridstoload = 7 and load up my old save I DON'T CTD. If I change it back to 5 in game I was ok also. I quit the game, changed the ini in MO to ugridstoload = 5. Load up my old save and boom. CTD again. I included my memoryblockslog.log after I crashed. Looks like I'm starting up a new game. Again. I just can't trust the old save and I don't think playing at 7 is a good idea anyway. Hopefully I helped someone here with my travails ... Thank for the push in the right direction.
  19. The CTD is certainly consistent using the old save game. Happened again on me. Standing right there on the edge of the lake. Using MFGconsole it does mention the SDO full lod - whiterun tundra creek.esp. Is it possible since I checked and unchecked that mod (never removed it though) that it could be the cause ?
  20. I changed it via the .ini. I use MO so I just edited the skyrim.ini
  21. I'm trying to systematically uncover an existing consistent CTD I'm getting. My current playthrough started out at UGRIDS 7 when I noticed frequent but inconsistent CTD's around Whiterun tundra. I adjusted ENB settings to allow for more RAM use to cover VRAM (16ram 4gVram) so now I show basically 3050vram and 2040ram use via Performance Mgr. I dropped UGRIDS down to 5 after I read there can be issues with spawning and possible game play. (I DO use stableugridstoload) Now with my saved game (level 4) I CTD within 30 seconds or so very regularly as I'm walking up to Lad's Lake (towards Whiterun). Sometimes before it, sometimes right at the shore. One time a mudcrab took off like a plane, went right over my head about 50 feet at that point I CTD. I also usually CTD at death but that's ok since I exit Skyrim when I die to reload anyway. What's also funky about the tundra is that there's a HUGE pack of wolves, maybe 30 strong milling around in a valley. Strange doings. However I can't duplicate this with a new saved game using UGRIDS 5. I COC near Silentmoonscamp walk to Lad's Lake and use Speedmult to zip around the tundra too. I do CTD after 5 mins or so but it's most likely due to stressing Skyrim abnormally. I'll refrain from adding my specs until I can do a better job of targeting my issue. I'm running a heavy STEP/SR/Requiem/REG setup. I was VERY careful with my saved game ( This only ESPs I checked unchecked was SDO to see if the Giant FiRES were the issue). I didn't remove any mods nor do I autosave and I always exit Skyrim after death. Can it be as simple as a UGRID drop from 7 to 5 or do I have more underlying issues to deal with ? Thanks for any insights here.
  22. Great to have that clear now. Thank you
  23. Been analyzing all things Skyrim and now I'm wondering about this function. I have NVIDIA Inspector installed and modified the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim profile as per STEP. I hit apply and everything locks in. Now when I close out NVIDIA Inspector and open it up again and click on the tool icon for driver profile settings the BASE profile shows in the window again. My question is how is Skyrim aware of ANY kind of changes I made using this utility ?? The quote below is off the NVIDIA Inspector WIKI page. How is the modified Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim profile being saved and loaded once the game is launched ?? "Game profiles are the main attraction with NVIDIA Inspector because when used, these profiles will allow custom driver settings for individual games. The profiles will then be saved and loaded once the game is launched." thanks
  24. One thing I noticed about Real Shelter so far is that when I save UNDER shelter and reload the game - the shelter and weather switch places. Basically it's only raining ON the shelter but the outside no longer has the rain. Sound (thunder) cuts off stepping under shelter too. Of course it could just be me and my install It IS a pretty cool mod though. The Smugglers Den next to Whiterun under the cliffs... man that was cool.
