  1. edit: Nevermind I understood right after hitting post.
  2. So... do I take that as a lack of interest or...? I was expecting some sort of indication of yes/no or.. idk... something...
  3. So I've finished updating all of the core mods and have sent the relevant esp/merge list/etc to Diana. She's working through getting a full install finished utilizing the updates and will test everything. During next week I'll work on the optionals (ECTV / Radioactive / WLSO) to enable wrapping the update up by end of next week... Sorry it's taken so long but we're almost there.
  4. Reqtified and YASH both use FSP (Non-Replacer) + SoS for sound.. The combination is glorious but there's some work to do patching sound lighting and weather mods together since they all touch regions and cells. I could probably be convinced to install the modpack and configure a version of WLSO to fit the guide's standard contents... I have to finish the Reqtified update first though.
  5. Does't your TAFM merge rely upon relinker for proper billboard renaming or something like that? Or did that dependency get dropped when TR Trees was removed?
  6. That's like saying that if an author of a book claims it's "best read underwater" then the reader should go dive into the lake with his/her book.... If the author's suggestion is nonsensical dogma then it deserves no consideration.. There are documented facts about how to properly work with both extracted and non-extracted bsa's... the author's wishes about how you use his mod have no bearing on it. It's totally up to the individual user's situation as to whether they should extract or not. Trying to hand wave the concern away with "do as the author wishes" doesn't really help anyone's particular situation.
  7. By changes I more meant that we'll no longer be hosting the pre-merged esp and instead need to update the guide to inform people how to properly do it themselves... Also the actual mods chosen for ECTV will likely change a bit.
  8. This section is likely to have some changes and I haven't gotten there yet... Holding off on looking at any of the ECTV stuff until after I get done with gameplay
  9. Yes. There's currently a Requiem patch but it's a technical patch rather than a balance patch. it was known that a balance pass would need to happen but I never had the time to go further into it. I think a numerical balance pass on the added armor and weapons wouldn't take up all that much time. Properly perking up the monsters would be alot more effort since it involves a lot of play testing. As far as Radioactive goes... it's a role playing game, you don't have to pick up everything in the game if you're not playing a klepto. ;) Luckily Skyrim Radioactive is totally optional and can just be left out for people that feel differently. Edit... Michi are you saying there's alot of things not marked as owned or that there's just alot of stuff you can take in general? If the stuff isn't properly marked as owned by the vendor and thus not a crime to pick up then that's something that definitely should be fixed..
  10. Not sure what you mean? Anything that doesn't have a paper map would just use the normal system?
  11. I was thinking about using Paper Map in the guide and just letting people choose whatever they want otherwise.
  12. Yeah I know what you're saying... I'm saying that not checking that box causes problems for mods with scripts, translation files and facegen data... You can definitely choose not to copy assets but at that point you need to make sure to also add instructions for people to, for instance, copy the facegen folders and rename to the new esp name. You'll also need to manually renumber the files in the facegen folders using the mergemap... There's similar work for translations... script file sometimes need recompiling as well... It's simpler simply and far less error prone to make sure to use proper MO procedure to merge esp replacers with the mod they are replacing and leave the copy assets checked.
  13. Not copying assets can lead to issues due to scripts, interface files, translation files and facegen among other things needing to be updated in various cases... Thigns that merge plugins takes care of when copying assets is left alone. It's simpler to always make sure that any esp overwrites just get placed into the folder with it's assets rather than in a seperate folder by themselves as that's the only issue MP has in this regard...
  14. ENB Organizer is a better tool imo.. but there's nothing stopping anyone from using any tool they want? I prefer ENB Organizer but it's all personal preference..
  15. Everything SMC asks for can be found on the internet with relatively little trouble. It's up to users of the guide to locate them or choose not to use what htey can't find... Having said that... the outcome is pretty different if certain ones like the SRTO series aren't located.
  16. I have no preference do as you feel correct
  17. Typo Patch - Falskaar is installed in the Misc section
  18. Content that has not been properly patched for Requiem will generally be a complete push over and unbalance your game. At the very least all NPCs must be updated with relevant perks because without proper perks you can like 2 shot a lvl 50 npc at lvl 2.. I'm exaggerating a bit but not by that much... Helgen involves NPCs doing alot of fighting as well.. all the Requiem NPCs will totally wreck your guards for instance. There's also some just regular conflicts you need to patch... The patch in the guide currently just resolves those obvious conflicts but does not do anything for balance.
  19. Yeah, you can get rid of it. There's an answer somewhere in this thread you'll have to search for it.
  20. Aye. I'm just focusing on one path right now. Once I get that fully working we can add optionals and do the work to make sure swapping them in and out is painless.
  21. Utilize the requiem patch ^.^ https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/81899/?
