SRLE: Legacy of The Dragonborn Reqtified

I think I'm gonna make the change to Unbound. People can obviously still use ASLAL if they want though :D -

What does everyone think regarding using Skyrim Unbound ( https://www.nexusmods...im/mods/71465/? ) rather than Alternate Start? I've been using unbound lately and find it to be a nicer experience and has by far fewer compatibility challenges to work around. -

We should add Main Menu (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/64948/?) and No Menu and Loading Smoke (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/7901/?) to the GUI section just after Resource Mods.. the first one for sure. I don't know how people manage multiple playthroughs on a profile without that one. I suggest replacing Atlas with Map Markers Complete ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25603/? DLC version) and Map Markers Solstheim ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/71008/? ) -

You should NOT extract them if struggling for space as they take up more space extracted. Having said that there's really no reason whatsoever to extract the optimized texture packs. The base textures (Optimized + BPT) should always be overwritten by everything above and everything below it (vanilla textures) are packed in BSA. This means leaving those packed saves hard drive space and lowers load time while having no downsides. If using Mod Organizer there's no need to update ini files as MO handles everything appropriately as configured in the guide. -

Almost everything is optional; nothing requires kshair. Having said that the texture replacer for it makes it fit in nicely if you avoid the glamazon styles I think this idea is fine. TBH I think that we should simplify and remove the manual way. If someone wants to do it that way then they are advanced enough to work it out on their own. -

How attached are people to wildcat? I'm thinking about dropping it from the guide until a proper patch can be created.. the one we're using is way out of date and wildcat has changed significantly since it was created. I think we should remove Unarmed Combat Enhancer.. BTC or Destiny already handle it decently and UCE was never completed with the lvl 50 and 100 perks. We should probably also drop Gray Cowl of Nocturnal.. initially it was included because I planned on patching it myself for Requiem but I don't think I'm ever goign to be around to it. Unpatched it's just gonna be severely unbalanced -

Consider adding the Daedric Glowing addon for Craftable Horse Barding.. -

Let's consider adding Palaces and Castles Enhanced since Radioactive Glorified is now compatible Let's consider adding Inns and Taverns to ECTV and popping out Helgen Reborn... Unfortunately it's never been properly patched and I'm not interested in doing so during this update cycle... -

Let's consider adding Royal Armory and Artifacts of Boethiah and thus the DBM Patches for them.. IIRC a Requiem patch for AoB will be pretty easy to do.. Also the Requiem Heavy Armory patch was finally updated so we can re-add that Let's consider pulling More Interesting Loot.. it can be a real unbalancer for Requiem. -

There's actually a CACO patch now that's pretty complete; we can consider using it. As far as IH... AOS being after Race Adjustments is actually what's causing the problem... Let's not worry about IH other than having it on a list as a thing I need to make sure works before we're done. -

The idea there is that we want everything to overwrite those anyway so we can save some hd space and load time by just leaving them packed. Since everything else is loose and loose files always overwrite packed... -

Yah, we'r egonna get it up to date. I can't say how closely I'll maintain things but I'll get all of the patches and such up to date once she finishes running through the guide and investigating things. That'll atleast hold us over for a while. Paul can you give her access to the nexus page so she can update it with new archives as needed. -

Should probably add a note to Optimized Vanilla Textures describing which files to get and their proper placement on the let hand side. That or remind everyone to read the installation instructions. -

Yes, I've long utilized those in my own load orders.. They just never made it into the guide for some reason. Proper procedure is to place Optimized Vanilla Textures in the right locations, then USLEEP, then BPT.. atleast that's how I've always done it. ;) -

I'm new to Witcher... Do people typically breakdown most of the found junk and such for crafting components or sell it? OrI'm starting to think maybe you just breakdown enough to have 5-10 of everything to cover whatever crafting needs might come up and then start selling it? -

I move my downloaded mods to dropbox in a selective sync folder. Dropbox is hella cheap and I have a large storage amount due to work reasons. -

No patch is needed for NLVA; just follow the NLA instructions but also include the VW assets somewhere.
