Is there a way to edit the premade .esp in order to delete some of its masters the I don't use(e.g. ELE)?

As everyone knows Bethesda didn't release a high res pack for FO3. This means our only hope relies on the modding community. I started this thread in order to gather as many texture mods as we can to help make FO3 a high res good looking game. Feel free to post links to mods that are texture replacers but add-on content. By BrainFever: Does MO work with fallout 3?
hellanios replied to wolverine2710's question in Mod Organizer Support
Using MO to mod Fallout 3 is difficult because it seems to not be able to handle some mods correctly. For example, when I double click to install FWE the external installer runs and after a while I get an error from Microsoft .NET Framework "Unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application. If you click Continue, the application will this erroe and attempt to continue. Object reference not set to an instance of an object." I click Continue and then the installer appears but I don't procced to the installation because I'm not sure if everything will run correctly. Then when I try to install MMM I get only the error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." but the installer shuts down preventing me from installing the mod. I haven't tried to install other mods like unifiedhud or darnified ui yet. -
Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
hellanios replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Ok, so for example in the guide we're advised not to install the following: textures/dlc02/landscape/dlc2basaltcolumnsingle*.dds (High Resolution DLC is superior.)textures/dlc02/landscape/dlc2basaltside*.dds (High Resolution DLC is superior.)textures/dlc02/landscape/dlc2road01ash01*.dds (High Resolution DLC is superior.)textures/dlc02/landscape/volcanic_ash_darkcliff_01*.dds (High Resolution DLC is superior.)textures/dlc02/landscape/volcanic_ash_rocks_01*.dds (Serious HD is superior.)textures/dlc02/landscape/volcanic_ash_tundra_01*.dds (High Resolution DLC is superior.)textures/dlc02/landscape/volcanic_ash_tundra_03*.dds (High Resolution DLC is superior.) for every one of these files we will untick both the .dds and the _n.dds -

Another question about the .dds. every .dds has a correspondind n.dds. what about them? should we let them or install-not install them along as we'll do with their corresponding .dds -

First of all, I think you should change the the line "textures/dlc02/landscape/volcanic_ash_rocks_01*.dds" to "textures/dlc02/landscape/volcanic_ash_rocks_01_d*.dds" Secondly, from the Skyrim Realistic Texture Overhaul Dragonborn mod we need to install only the following files: textures/dlc02/architecture/ravenrock/redoran/redoran0*.dds textures/dlc02/architecture/telvannitower/telwoodendoor*.dds there are no files named just like that in the filestree. can you be more specific on the names ? the same applies to the Telvanni Reborn mod. no file is exactly named like that: textures/dlc02/architecture/telvannitower/telwoodendoor*.dds -
DDsopt question involving Skyrim Revisited: Legendary Edition
hellanios replied to FamousDeadGuy's question in DDSopt Support
I want to downsize Telvanni Reborn. It's included in the guide. I want use 1024 diffuse and 1024 compressed normal maps. Should I change any option in DDSopt or should I live the settings as seen in the "Using DDSopt" tab? Also, in the "DDSopt Optimization" tab should I use the same settings as seen in pictures S1 and H2? -

Important question, I don't use an enb. So I'm using ELFX's enhancer plugin. My question is can I use the modified Relighting Skyrim Neo provides or will it conflict with the Enhancer plugin? -

Neo will you include No snow under the roof eventually? prometheus says that it's compatible with bds as long as his mod is loaded after bds. Also, I would suggest adding Better Falskaar and Wyrmstooth Map With Roads and Falskaar World Map Clouds. -
So, if we want to use a mod like skyre, requiem or the upcoming perkus maximus when should we install them? I mean dead last or somewhere else? Would they be a new a new section in the guide?

so there are two ways. first and traditional way. 1)unistall and delete old version. 2)install new version. 3)make sure the mod is in the same position in the left panel as its predecessor second way. 1)install new version and choose to replace when asked. 2)just delete the old version from the downloads tab.

The unofficial DG patch has been updated. So, to install it correctly should I first unistall all the files that come after it or just simply install it and move it exactly where it was in the left panel?

Kalispera hellanios, Any optional or patch you install to a mod's main file in MO (i.e. Falskaar main file), I would suggest to merge it. That way, u avoid cluttering MO's mod list. Drawback is that when main file is updated u will have to re-install (merge again) the optional/patch etc. Hope this helps! Thanks adelfe. ;) A response from Neo or someone who knows well about MO would be great though. -

I installed Falskaar and then the DG compatibility patch. Should I choose to merge or replace the files? And what should I do if this happens again? -

Two questions, shouldn't we be able to delete the textures.bsa since we have extracted its content just like the hr dlc bsas? also, wouldn't it be a good idea to use the "Repair the Vanilla HRDLC Textures" part from the DDSopt & Texture Overhauls Guide? -
So, I should check them and be careful to not get past number 80
-
One more question :p . In the "Archives" tab there is a red triangle with an exclamation mark in it. When I click the tab there some bsa files including the dlcs that have this mark. If I check them the mark goes away. Should I check them all or not?
-
Ok. Thanks for the info. This means that from now on I will always have to run BOSS through MO, right? Also, to unistall I simply uncheck the esp and the correspondind mod in the left panel and then right click on it and select remove mod.
-
I have to say I'm pretty impressed with what MO can do. The funny thing is that I had also tried it once when it has just came out. One question though, I have followed the installation guidelines. After installing the mod I checked it in left panel and then its esp in the right panel but when I checked my skyrim/data folder there was nothing there. Is this ok? Where do the mods install? Also, how bug-free or stable is MO right now?
-
I'm trying to download a mod through MO but I get an error: failed to request file info from nexus along with some other stuff. I have assοciated MO with nexus links.
-
Well, does anyone know a safe way to do the transfer?
-
Because I have so many files downloaded through NMM. Is there a way to transfer all these files from the Nexus Mod Manager directory to the Mod Organizer directory?
-
I'm gonna give Mod Organizer a try but I want to keep something intact and that is NMM downloading the files. So, is there a way to use NMM as the downloader and Mod Organizer as the installer of my mods?
