  1. I thought her interactions with Inigo were great at first and she is very well done but now she's just repetitive and annoying as hell. As far as I can tell you can't even dismiss her. If I have to listen to her complain about finding her book, going to dawnstar or having the same conversation with Inigo over and over and over again one more time I might have to remove her essential status. Of course, I quickly feel that way with most of the custom followers. Maybe I'm just not a people person.
  2. Is anyone else getting floating grass around Whiterun with the Enhanced Vanilla Trees esp? I've got a ton but I see LOOT has put it pretty late in my LO, well after Enhanced Landscapes, SFO and other mods that might be conflicting with it. edit: Ok, after looking at it in T5E I don't see how this could be causing it. Something else must be messing it up. I probably screwed up my Dnydolod update ( which never works but I thought I'd try it again. Serves me right for not removing it and starting from scratch... ).
  3. I prefer Wildcat's injuries and combat tweaks but Vigor still adds a lot of features that Wildcat doesn't touch, such as a more complex/indepth fatigue system, parry, movement ( higher ground ), enemy combat AI ( which differs from Wildcat's additions ), and potions for npcs ( which seems much better than ASIS and is configurable via mcm ). I would love to be able to use just one and agree that making the poultices is a bit of a pain ( and rarely actually use them. A HUD would be huge in this regards ), but I'm still enjoying using both and think they compliment each other very well.
  4. Thanks Pretendeavor. I've gotten that message a couple of times and didn't know where to even begin to try and fix it. Hopefully this does the trick.
  5. Nope, I completely missed that patch. Should make a huge difference since it was the low HP that was making them weak. Thanks. My only problem now is I'm still using Mighty Dragons so now the other dragons are probably going to be way too difficult.
  6. I added Diverse Dragons 2 to my current game recently and the dragons were way too easy, even on the hardest setting. The different dragon types were nice but they didn't provide any challenge at all. I ended up just disabling it.
  7. For me the most interesting thing about this mod is the degradation but I didn't realize it could cause problems. Could you elaborate on the "evil OnHit()" please? Nothing to in-depth, I'm just curious if this mod is causing problems that I'm not aware of. Thanks.
  8. Thanks. 1. I was going to use the Wrye Flash option but the guide said it could cause problems with some mods. Does it just not recognize certain items so they don't get marked or can it cause more serious issues? 2. From what I understand from the FWE page is that it has a timescale which is set to a global timescale of 1:5 by default ( https://sites.google.com/site/fo3wanderersedition/detailed-changes/06immersion ). 1:5 was way to slow for me but 1:12 seems to be better and I might try 1:18 as well. Adding 1 to the hunger and thirst rates seems to be making it more realistic as well. 3. It's strange because it's not purple like the texture is missing ( or the red box with the ! ) but the raiders are just floating heads and hands. Maybe a mesh issue? I'll be sure to get the full name of the outfit the next time I see it and hopefully that will lead me to the problem. The two raiders that I killed that were wearing the problem outfit had outfits without an immersive name ( one was "T3BrightDress" or something like that), which seemed odd as well. Of course, when I looted the outfit the body showed so it's not an issue with the raider.
  9. I've got it all installed and it looks great, thanks! I thought Darkened Interiors was compatible with RIL but I was wrong so I dropped that before beginning the game. I found that ENBs Enhanced Shaders, Midhrastic and Samsara all look great with your guide. Just a few questions, please: 1. I was wondering if there's any sorting mods that you prefer. I was going to have WF deal with it but I see you say it causes problems so I didn't. The pipboy, however, has nothing on SkyUI so I was hoping something would help me sort through the mess that's already accumulating in my inventory. 2. I'm also wondering about the timescale. You mention it in the Powered Power Armor description but I didn't see it mentioned in the WF installation. I see that FWE has an option for it though and I'm wondering if you recommend changing it. Default is 1:5 so my first day in the Wastelands feels like it's taking forever. I thought 1:18 or 1:24 might be better but I didn't want to upset the balance of the game ( especially with primary needs requiring sleep and, as far as I know, FO lacks the bedrolls that Skyrim has ). I've also only needed to eat once and not drink at all ( currently 8 pm in my first day, during which I've done several Megaton quests and cleared out the fire ants in the nearby town ). I tweaked those settings but I'm wondering what the consensus setting is. The settings your guide links to say to play with it but since it's just in +/- increments I'm hoping someone has found a realistic setting. 3. Finally, I did have a couple bandits with only heads and arms, their bodies being completely invisible. The outfits they were wearing started with T3. Any idea which mod that might be so I can double check the installation? Thanks.
  10. I've been using the ENB manager and it works great with FO. I've found a few that I mostly like and the FNV ENBs seem to work great with FO3. I'll keep testing but I've got it down to 4 or 5 that look really good. I've finally got all the patches dled and just need to do the finishing steps. I've avoided adding any other mods since your guide seems really complete on it's own but I was wondering if you've tried Darkened Interiors. It says it works with RIL so it seems appealing but I'm not sure if it's really needed with your guide set up. The few interiors I've tested with it really seem to depend on the ENB more than anything else. I'll probably try using it but thought I'd ask before I add something troublesome to my game. Thanks.
  11. Ugh, I can't believe I missed that in the guide. I thought I was reading closely but apparently not. Thanks for pointing that out. I'll try the alternate start option next test and see if I can figure it out. The alt start should also help me better evaluate some ENBs. I've dled a few ENBs for FO3 and will be testing them. I'm wondering though if the colors between FO3 and FNV aren't close enough that ENBs from the FNV Nexus won't work with FO3 as well. If anyone has experience with this I'd appreciate some feedback. Thanks.
  12. Hey all. Thanks for this great guide, Kelmych, it's a huge help and seems to be very well done. I'm sorry if these questions have been answered already but 57 pages is a lot to go through... I'm finally going to try FO3 and am about midway through the install and was hoping someone could help me out. First, FWE says it should have a configuration menu but I'm not getting it to show ( pressing and holding enter key ). I've only gone into the game as far as the birthday party just to see how it looks and to test the load so I'm not sure if that's the problem. I was debating the VATS options when installing FWE but saw "bullet time" as an option and thought that might be good, especially after watching a couple vids online. However, I can't figure out how to get the menu to configure it ( and I realize I can't test it yet, just curious about the menu ). I have played FO3 on the PS3 a few years ago, though I didn't make it too far, and thought VATS slowed the game down to much for my taste so I'd prefer an alternative. How can I config and is bullet time the way to go or is VATS halftime or realtime a better choice? Also, I was looking to add an ENB and was wondering which everyone recommends to match the lighting and weather mods recommended by this guide. I want something dark and gringy so Midhrastic or Lone Wanderer looked good ( or Hope of Eli, though it's FNV so I'm not sure how it would look ), but Midh adds an esp so I wasn't sure if that would work ( I'm open to any other suggestions, those are just a few that showed up in google searches ). The older version seems like it would be good but it uses a much older version of ENB so I'm not sure what I'd be missing. I've been doing Skyrim for a while but the ENB series for FO doesn't seem as sophisticated so am I really losing that much if I use version .118 or .161 versus finding an ENB that relies on a more recent version? Thanks to anyone who can help me out.
  13. You really shouldn't need any patches in your LO. First, realize that the mods used in SRLE are already patched via the CR, as Neo has already brought forward the edits so you don't need to use those patches. If you have other mods that need patches outside of what is used in SRLE just bring forward the edits into your own CR, assuming you have one ( you should ), or, if you don't, bring forward the edits into one of the SRLE CRs or just merge those patches and have an extra esp. Merging all the patches into the AOS.esp is going to cause that esp to depend on the other mods as masters, potentially putting AOS.esp much later in your LO than you want and causing potential conflicts with other mods.
  14. Oh yeah, very much so
  15. My understanding is that Crash Fixes helps solve the issue but if you're above the ~65k limit then the script cleaner programs won't work on the save, even though Crash Fixes allows the save to still work.
  16. Yeah, though the save cleaner sounds like it might be good enough to replace the script cleaner that I've been using. I was surprised at how quickly the restringer worked. I was expecting to leave it run for a while but it was done in seconds. Amazing. I'm going to run it on Helgen Reborn and Molag Bal's next and that should give me more than enough slack to be comfortable in my current game.
  17. Has anyone else tried SkyrimTools yet? I just used it on Interesting NPCs and Beyond Reach and knocked off about 3,000 strings from my save.
  18. Off the top of my head I was going to guess 50-100 but I counted the esps in the SRLE extended merges and it's 140(!!!!) so I've got to be closer to 200-300. Of course, a lot of those are patches but still, that's a lot more than I would have guessed. I guess they've just been adding up over the last couple years. My count in MO is 257 but 11 get pulled into the bashed patch so that puts me at 246. I could easily find a few mods I'd love to add to push the limit but I'm leaving room in case Real Shelter or other Chesko mods are released before I'm through with this play through. Once this game is done I'm deleting everything, finally setting up Fall Out 3 and then NV, and will probably reinstall Skyrim next summer once the mods and guides are updated for SE.
  19. I'm at 246 esps (which includes even more merges than in this guide and SRLE) and reached level 45 and my game is performing flawlessly. I've never made it this far into a game before and am really enjoying finally seeing parts of the game that I never got to play before.
  20. I vote to keep it.
  21. This might be helpful: WAA Descriptions I'm going to try and add it to my WAA Patches merge.
  22. Minerva Fading Pride is finally finished and uploaded.
  23. I like the idea of both injury systems on, just with Vigor's happening less often than default. They're "long term" injuries, require bandages and potions, which is a cool feature, and, if you're bleeding, can really screw you if you get a Wildcat injury as well and can't heal yourself to 100% without using a bandage. Plus I really like Vigor's fatigue system and the ease with which it gives npcs potions. Oh, I guess I also set the injuries to occur only at 50% and 25%, setting the 75% slider to zero.
  24. Is anyone else trying to use both Vigor and Wildcat? I'm using both and really enjoy it. I lowered Vigor's injuries to 10% with 25% bleed and left Wildcat's injuries on. Turned off Vigor's timed block and set Vigor's Stagger to 25%. Turned off Wildcat's power attack feature and stamina drain in favor of Vigor's. I've just been playing a little bit with both but they seem to work really well together.
  25. Hey Darth, you play as an argonian so you might like these. I've been using them and they look really good. Argonians Enhanced Male Dragonic Argonian Textures Female Dragonic Argonian Textures
