I have a few extra esps in mine so it's tough to tell but I think it should. I can't tell which is changing the soldier gear (DX_) but I think it should be for that. I'm more sure about the Dawnguard gear and Faction Crossbows though, I think it should definitely have it for that. I'm always a bit uncertain with the tags though but it looks like dawnguard gear should be removing the old axes and maces and only adding the new ones. I believe crossbows should work the same way. If you want to save an esp slot you could add Lustmore back into the merge and put the WAA patch for lustmore in the merge as well. That might be complicated to explain in the guide though.

Fading Pride is updated for Bijin NPCs 1.2. I also updated all the female textures in Bijin's, Ordinary Women and SRLE Edition to Pride of Valhalla 1.6.

Personally I've always merged the integration patches with my Animal Tweaks Merge, placing the integration patches first. One less esp and it takes care of issues like that, especially with Animal Tweaks - Skytest being later in the merge. It'd be Animal Tweaks.esp, integration patches, AT patches.

Bijin is always some of the best quality but in this case I think My Warmaidens is much, much better. I don't think that getting Fading Pride updated for Bijin NPCs is going to make a difference either, My Warmaidens did such a great job both in the quality of the look but also in how perfectly it matches her personality.

Does anyone else have issues with their enb if the gamma is set to 1.0000? The colors seem off but, mainly, when I go into settings and adjust the brightness up or down one notch and then put it back to where it was the game looks much better. Shadows, dof, colors...pretty much everything, like the enb is only half working before and doing this turns it fully on. If I go into skyrimprefs.ini and set the gamma to 0.9999 or 1.001 then it looks really good too so it doesn't make any sense to me why it's so much worse at 1.0000. I set my inis to read only. I've had this issue for awhile and just left my gamma at 0.9999 but I redid my inis and am curious if I'm really the only one with this weird issue.

I'd say that Skytest adds a lot of realism to the game in terms of behavior, young animals, and more creatures (even without spawns). Animal Tweaks is all about difficulty. Bears are tough, snow cats are fierce, and trolls...well, I've gone way out of my way to avoid a troll. A frost Troll surprised my level 15, Inigo and Zora and the three of us couldn't even damage it. Skytest and Animal Tweaks together is a great combination, especially since AT also adds things like not reporting crimes, etc.... The knockback effect is also a great part of AT, especially now that it doesn't send you flying 100 meters anymore.

I'm home now and able to look over my list. I'm also using: Verdant EK Ring Limiter CS Tag and Track Artifacts of Boethiah Art of the Catch Sky City Animal Tweaks (with the Skytest patch. I just merged all the animal tweaks esps into one) SFO ELE Lite - Full Version (It looks amazing with Vividian ENB. The fires really give a different feel to the world now. Much better than just ELFX, IMO. I'm using ELFX too, of course.) Some other minor mods as well but those are the ones that you really notice on a more consistent basis.

I use fUpdateBudgetMS=1.6 and it works great for me. I don't know if it necessarily makes it "smoother" but it does ensure that, when I have a lot of scripts going off at once, all of the scripts execute. I use most of a full SLRE and Extended, with a few other mods on top. From SRLE I'm not currently using: Bathing Holidays KS Hair Alternate Start From Extended I don't use: Helgen Reborn Lock Overhaul Easy Wheel Menu Molag Bal's Moonpath College Days Noble Skyrim Bigger Trees Merta Assasin Jaggersfeld General Store The followers I currently have are Mirai, Inigo and Recorder. The other mods I'm using are: Gold Adjustment Beyond Reach Moon and Star Hunterborn Populated Forts and Populated Dungeons (NO Asis Spawns) Genesis Dawn of Skyrim Thunderchild Music Merge Smarter Combat Music Leaf Rest Morrowloot Ultimate Verdant EK Ring Limiter CS Tag and Track Artifacts of Boethiah Art of the Catch Sky City Animal Tweaks (with the Skytest patch. I just merged all the animal tweaks esps into one) SFO ELE Lite - Full Version (It looks amazing with Vividian ENB. The fires really give a different feel to the world now. Much better than just ELFX, IMO. I'm using ELFX too, of course.) A few other minor mods but these are the ones you really notice on a consistent basis. I had a string count of about 52,500 to start and now it's up to about 53,300. I'm level 15, beat the first dragon and have done a bunch of minor quests, notice board quests, and about 5 companion quests. Not only is this the furthest the game has let me get in a while (my first dragon battle in months lasted 45 minutes. Awesome!) but I've also had maybe 2 CTD, which were completely random and non-problematic when I restarted. My memory logs have yet to fill up, which is beyond crazy to me considering how little I could do before worrying about them before. I also have yet to have the annoying CTD on save bug (game is fine, save, load game later, CTD whenever you try to save, google, find voodoo magic, voodoo magic works (how did anyone even figure out that process...scratches head), voodoo magic stops working several hours later...) or any strange CTDs on loading like I would randomly get before the purge. I do get a little lag going into the perk screen but it's not that bad, maybe a couple seconds, and doesn't seem to be interfering with anything else. I do notice that the modified health, stamina, and magic numbers lag as well, so that might be a clue as to what the problem is. It doesn't seem like it should be a difficult calculation but with so many mods adjusting those values, as well as skill levels, it could be. Sorry for the long post, just wanted to update you on what is working for me right now.

My bad, I just checked the page and there isn't one. It must be one I made when I was using BYS before. I'll double check what's in it and let you know if there's anything important or if it's stuff you already added to your CR. edit: It might be an old one he used to have posted, I really don't remember.

Hey Darth. I was curious why you didn't include the WAFR patch in the BYS merge also?

Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

I was just playing in the rain and was definitely getting wet, though it did seem to be at a fairly low rate. I assumed it was just due to the gear that I had on though I had become quite soaked when I finally got out into an interior. It was a light rain near the lunar forge area (I believe weather types are location dependent but I guess I'm not sure if there's different rain weathers for different locations). I can't say for certain if I'm getting wet in all rainy weathers or if there are some that are not registering with frostfall. -

I had the same problem with a newly created dyndolod.esp. Someone else posted about this problem on the SFO page, saying it's a problem with a couple nifs, so at least it's not just me with the issue. Vurt just put up an update which will hopefully resolve it. I'll test it later when I have a chance. Apparently the problem is just around Whiterun so if you're somewhere else in the game you might want to test it out to make sure you're not going to have issues also. -

Can someone tell me where I'm messing up when updating Dyndolod? I think I'm following the instructions but it never seems to work right. This time it's suddenly causing a ctd when I get a little out of Whiterun, in any direction. I was in Jorvaskar when I updated. The only reason I'm updating is for the SFO 2.5b billboards update. I backed up all the files, tes5lodgen Output, Dyndolod Output and Dyndolod.esp. I deselected the two output folders and kept the dyndolod.esp file to update it. I reran both texgen and world gen scripts, moving each into a new, empty folder after each was done. Selected the folders and started the game. It seemed to work without a problem, with the tamrieltreelod.dds file having quite a few more trees in it. I noticed, however, that the new dyndolod output folder had less files than the old one so first I tried the game with just the new folder and then again with the new folder overriding the old folder, which should give me the new files but also use the previous files that the dyndolod worlds script didn't generate. Each method resulted in a ctd at the exact same spot. When I went back to using the old dyndolod, pre update, I'm able to proceed just fine, without a ctd. Is it easier just to make a new dyndolod.esp from scratch. Updating it seems like it shouldn't be a problem but damned if I can get it to work right. Thanks. -
Sorry, I'm not using her right now so I didn't make any pics. If anyone cares to upload some I'd appreciate it. I'm assuming the latest version, the version we're all presumably using, is the one with the errors so I don't have the previous version either. There's so many esps packed into the tweaks package that I'm not sure if the problem is with one of the esps we're using or a different one (or all of them, for that matter).

SRLE Extended Mod Suggestions
cstarkey42 replied to Darth_mathias's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
SMC is nice but you do lose a bit of control and it ends up taking more work to sort it out since SMC is more of a black box than anything else. Vivid Clouds isn't an option, so if you add Realistic smoke you have to sort the textures to get the best. Vivid Landscapes is an option, but it chooses a different mountain and farmhouse texture. It still looks good, but setting it up to what you think looks best is a hassle. The auto dds optimization option is great, but then you run into mods that shouldn't be optimized and it doesn't distinguish between those and those that it should optimize. I used it for the longest time but I couldn't restrain myself and would end up adding way more HD textures than Skyrim thinks I should. Darth, I'm doing the typo merge now and was going to add the Wyrmstooth patch as well. Is there a reason you left it out that I'm not aware of? It's a part of the tweaks package that SRLE uses for the Notice Board. -
SRLE Extended String Count Testing
cstarkey42 replied to linar9415's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Has anyone tested an world addons after they've begun playing them/completed them? I was on the fence about Molag Bal's Inferno which was posted by Darth and EpitomeofShyness at just under 1000 but now I see a duplicate of it on Epitome's list at 2700! That's quite a difference. -
@zeg I haven't done that or thought about it so I'm not really sure. If this race is player only than I'd imagine you could just substitute the textures, assuming that it uses a different folder path with it's own textures. Anything more complicated than that, such as wanting one texture for yourself and other textures for npcs, would probably require more work. Sorry, Fading Pride was a real simple process of just moving texture files from one folder to another so I won't be of much help outside of the basics.
-
Sorry, I forgot that you dropped SFO. I'm not entirely sure the new billboards are needed but would imagine they are since vurt went through the trouble of making a new set for 2.5.
-
Someone asked this on SRLE but since we use Enhanced Landscapes it seems different for this set up. The new SFO 2.5 billboards conflict with EL's SFO billboards but if we place them after EL then the aspen trees won't be the same, I think. If we just delete the conflicting non-aspen trees from EL will that work or will other item's LODs get lost as well (or we could delete the aspen billboards from SFO and place it after EL. I think it would be the same either way)? I think the billboards only affect the trees but I'm not really sure how it all works, to be honest.

Thanks Darth, I appreciate the help.

Cool, thanks. Dragonborn Sanctuary and Jaggersfeld both look really good. I must have started following your guide after you switched from Jaggersfeld because I'm not familiar with that player home. You already answered my first question, which was related to the string count. @sm0kem Yeah, I thought it was odd and haven't had that problem before so I'm not sure what happened. I probably did it too quick and made some other mistake but at that point I'd had enough dealing with the fickle ***** we know as Skyrim and thought a week or two blowing stuff up would do me good. Thankfully BL2 took care of that itch for me. I'll try removing Morskam again and see how it works. I'm still on the fence about trying to keep Molag Bal's Inferno. I've got rid of quite a few mods already and with the Dyndolod beta scripts reportedly working so well in reducing string load I'm hopeful I can finally check out some of these other worlds without having to drop many more mods.

I tried that with Enhanced Blood but when I cleaned the masters in T5E it also made some other changes which then cause my game to ctd whenever I tried to start a new game (you can tell other changes were made with this function because a few other record headings became boldfaced in addition to the ones that were specifically edited). At that point I decided I just needed a break from Skyrim instead of trying to figure out where the problem was. I'll try removing Morskom and see if I have any luck. I wanted to keep it consistent with the guide so holding off to see if you made any changes made sense. As cool as Morskom looks, however, 800 is a bit much for a housing mod and I'm worried about sinking another X amount of hours into a game before the save goes to hell on me.
