If that's the case, i suggest checking hialgoboost again, it improved a lot with version 2.From what I'm reading on the Nexus forum, it's not compatible with SLi or CrossFireX, there's a stuttering bug with some systems, and there's an annoying watermark that has to be removed. Testing would be a must.Well, those wth SLi / CrossFireX don't have much of a problem with FPS anyway and they represent a little percentage of STEPers :). Regarding the stutters it depends on the machine, as different machines get different boot. There are some options in the ini that can be changed and a bit of testing needs to be done in each individual computer to achieve the best results. The watermark can be easily toggled off in the .ini too. On a side note a lesser known feature is the caching option that store information in a cache that reduces stutters when you load a new cell. You can easily rest it if you run ingame 6x-8x the normal speed, it makes a difference even with unmodded Skyrim. More info in the Hialgoboost FAQ. EDIT: ops, i didn't want to go off-topic. If you want to, answer in the hialgoboost thread.

ACCEPTED ENBSeries (by Boris Vorontsov)
ivactheseeker replied to frihyland's topic in Skyrim SE Mods
Reflections are related to specular maps. You can only tweak the intensity of the reflection for now. Still, they'll probably find a way to balance everything out. As Boris itself said 'This effect only for testing, quality is bad and performance too' . :) here is another screenshot: without reflection https://imageshack.us/a/img189/7213/ref2a.jpg with reflection https://imageshack.us/a/img853/2972/ref1h.jpg- 182 replies

Combat Mods - General
ivactheseeker replied to Besidilo's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
Well, combat, magic and i'm guessing a dragon mod too. then you think, let's add some sneaking changes here, some missing recipes there ... and before you realize you modified 50% of the gameplay :D You can try only the main module if you want,it contains ... quite a lot, but it's compatible with the combat mods :) . -

You forgot Skyrim Redone :) -
Maybe they will, i don't know, and probably they don't know ether at this stage. Version 3.4 had a BAIN installer that let you choose, on a custom install, which extras to include during the activation of the mod. I'm not sure everything can be made optional easly though. Let's take for example the custom rain they're including in the next release: they edit fog, brightness etc with that mod in mind for rainy weathers, and it may be totally off with vanilla rain. You may still try a different rain mod but then you have tu test to make sure it fits right. This is total speculation though, as i'm not a RLwC guru or any way associated with the RLwC team. You can do it, but i see at least two problems FPS loss which can be an issue for some with uber rig (me included :))PP does not effect game engine calculations. So if you like dark nights and/or doungeons, enemies will see you just as easly as vanilla while with HDR sneaking and related stuff is also modified(on an unrelated note: i just tried the new list with the WYSIWYG editor and i love it :D)

I quoted the changelog before because probably they're going more customization with the patcher, like torch radius, fog and more, to make little tweaks to the original mod. You're right, you have less choice regarding which mods to install as or you install only RLwC 4.0 or not but that's the only way they can a weather/lighting mod stable and without bugs. They can't make many standalone mods perfectly compatible with each other in every possible combination, that's too much work and depends critically on updates, which makes it unstable. About lighting without weather, they said that they are connected in the CK as they are in real life, and you can't fully enhance the first without changing the second. I agree that choice is important and again, there is the patcher for that. But what if you arrive mid-game and you realize there is something wrong with your personal combination of lighting / weather mods ? You mentioned STEP: STEP has a strong baseline that you can download and use to play the game and you know is well done and stable. Now, you worked on STEP with the others so you know exactly why some mods were included, why others removed and in general how was developed so you can tweak it as you like. But now everyone can do it unless they have some knowledge, as a personalized STEP is untested and may cause bugs if done in the wrong way. So i respect your views ,and i too like to have a choice, but i can't complain because i think they found the method to get the best results( in their opinion) and easily accessible to everyone. Personalize lighting is difficult, and they spend hundreds of hours doing it, so i will at least see the results and test them fully before trying to customize it. Btw, i'm not a RLwC fan, i actually used URWL more, i just liked the idea behind it.

@ s4n I think their phylosophy was: instead of having different mods  that alters different aspects of the weather/lighting system let's work together and create one stable mod with everything on it that is stable and coherent. So, for example fog, torch radius have been heavly modified and something like "spells give off light" has been included in the mod. I don't understand what you're saying here. RLwC has been the lightning mod with more customization that i know of. The BAIN installer let you choose between different presets and the patcher let you customize many aspects of the lighting. And now with new weathers and now with the weather / lighting / shadow mods included we'll get less bugs and maybe more customization ( from RLwC 4.0 changelog: New patcher released with much more power and flexibility. (BETA) ). So presets + patcher + Imaginator + FXAA/ENB will give a decent range of customization IMO. Of course we can't customize everything and some changes will remain like the mod authors want (like the 10000 light sources/flames changes :) ) but that's the same for every other lighting mod. I can understand when Sidney says one should test the mod fully before making any changes. about shadows you could try again, i see Sidney is answering every post on Nexus but that's oc up to you :) .

The problems and file corruptions were caused by Natural Skyrim Rain which was removed in the last update. About compatibility with other mods, which one? because the new version will include a lot of weather changes; for example PlayerTwo, the author of Real Rain, is making a custom rain mod for the next version of RLwC Here is a partial changelog for version 4.0 @ DracoArgento It will be at least 3 months before 4.0 , all we can do is waiting... @ s4n mmm, i didn't notice that. You could try to post your concern on the Nexus i see Sidney666 answers comments often. Maybe they already improved it in 4.0 :)

SKYRIMLE SkyRe - Skyrim Redone (by T3nd0)
ivactheseeker replied to z929669's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I think it's worth mentioning that SkyRe has improved quite a bit (v0.99.12.1) and it's now modular: SkyRe_Main: Changes to perks, spells, leveled lists, the Wot3E-weapons, adjusted/added smithing recipes, adjusted vanilla weapons and armor, bugfixes, adjusted shouts (for speechcraft), timed blocking, game settings related to sneak and cell/vendor respawn. No Vampirism/Fingersmith trees. SkyRe_Races: Racial abilities and race related loading screens SkyRe_Combat: Stamina dependent slowdown/damage/blocking efficiency, huge damage boost for both enemy and player, armor-dependent sneak and pickpocket modifications, debuff and stagger upon unblocked hits, stamina consumption upon blocking SkyRe_Enemies: Changes to enemy AI, enemy scaling, general minimum levels for most encounter zones, additional perks for enemies SkyRe_StandingStones: Standing Stones, and related loading screens SkyRe_Lighting: Lighting tweaks SkyRe_Vampirism: Vampirism and Fingersmith tree, UI tweak to remove skill bar when lockpicking. And a compatibility list is available on the page. Also, a bit of self-advertising: i created a pdf documentation for SkyRe, available in the download section of SkyRe itself. If you have any suggestion, please let me now.
