Strange problem with base install
Neovalen replied to antkiller's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
Try leaving all but disabling the esp that comes with xpms. Think I saw some discussion on this issue in their comment thread. -

Shouldn't be a problem, assuming there are no added bugs with the lower resolution archive (been a few examples of late with downscaled textures being corrupted). -

I'm not at home to double check but I believe yes. It should contain the json files. -
It's alright, you stated you had mods on top. :)

It's called Loot and Degredation and can be found on the Nexus.

Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

With some firepits / torches yes, other light sources (like candles) no. The orange tone for fire light isn't bad imo, just different... I would perhaps enjoy yellowing it up slightly. Maybe I will ask Manga which setting to tweak. Its certainly better than a red tone on fires that's for sure. 1) No need unless I say something here. The last update in particular was to fix the RSChildren not copying facegen problem but if you did the workaround I had provided previously then you were already good. 2) Yes, if weathers or ENB is updated it should be run again. Actually been meaning to tweak the instructions on this a bit. 3) Yes and also when skeleton is updated, but if unsure it's always safer to run it anyways. 4) Bashed patch should be redone anytime a mod is added and/or removed. There are many types of mods this isn't required for but in general it's a good rule to follow. 5) Yes, but in honesty it only affects mods that adds / removes NPCs or affects weapons and armors with ASIS and DSR as the only two mods (as configured anyhow). Basic answer in all this is: To be safe you do them all, for time efficiency they can be used more sparingly but you run risks. -
Perhaps the notice should be worded something like:"People using Wrye Bash to manage their mods will need to X." As Digital just experienced, users is a little ambiguous.

Here are a few more of my Adventures down the 7000 steps and into Ivarstead / Shroud Hearth Barrow.

Wandered Skyrim for awhile today, figured I'd post some sample images from my game. This way people can compare with their own game and see if they massively screwed something up. :)

ACCEPTED The Ruffled Feather (By SparrowPrince)

When he does, he changes the texture path. That way they must create a SMIM patch explicitly.- 307 replies

The best person to ask would be sheson, perhaps he will chime in or you could post the question in the DynDOLOD thread.

Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
Neovalen replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
No. DynDOLOD should only be redone when (A) Updating DynDOLOD or (B) I add a mod that adds buildings / trees. -

When installing the 2nd time select rename and name it TES5LODGen - SFO Billboards. -
Looks pretty good from the shots, going to give it a try.

Yeah, DynDOLOD needs to overwrite the vanilla billboards and SFO billboards need to come after. -

Had the damnedest thing happen to me today, I was trying to brawl Mikael in the Bannered Mare and he kept disengaging me (i.e. going back to normal)... of course when I hit him right after he did this I got a bounty... its like the brawl bugs patch wasn't active but obviously I have EBT installed... Well, I fixed it with this file found on the Brawl Bugs Patch page... apparently it also disables a lot of the checking for exploits (cloak spells, etc) but pretty much guarantees all brawls will work. Will try if I can find the offending mod causing the issue tomorrow. -
Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - pre 2.xx
Neovalen replied to sheson's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
Objects and trees, yes. Terrain, no. -
General Support Thread
Neovalen replied to Solist's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
Guess I'm not sure 100% what the problem is? First shot the tree is the 2d lod and second shot it has transitioned to the 3d model. Skyrim loads 3d models as you get closer to things as it loads that "grid". You can increase the number of grids loaded with uGridsToLoad in Skyrim.ini with a performance / memory impact. The default value is 5 and it should always be an odd number. Note that this also loads NPCs and triggers onload events for those added grids (i.e. quest events) so you may not be able to see them in view with a higher grids setting. -
Weapons on back is an XPMS option, not DSR.

What FPS should I be aiming for?
Neovalen replied to TuxThePenguin's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Well, I imagine it was no enb with your old setup. So you get that benefit, you'll also be able to use high level textures without issue. So still a plus side just not 60 fps outside. 2x980 will kick the living crap out of all modern games out there, but Skyrim is limited by its engine, sadly.
