  1. The answer is simple. All the mod assets (textures, scripts, meshes, etc) are copied into the new merge mod. Therefore the original mods are no longer required. The only exception is ESM or ESP files that are not auto-copied from the base mods. Therefore if there is a plugin not included, such as the Cot esm, then it needs to be copied in to keep things together. As far as the install order vs load order, it does not matter in this case as it's simply a plugin file.
  2. Much appreciated guys. :)
  3. I do remove the high res texture pack DLC personally and rely on the optimized versions. Hence why it doesn't show up on my setup. Per the note in the guide: If on an SSD and drive space is a concern, deleting HighResTexturePack01.bsa/.esp, HighResTexturePack02.bsa/esp, and HighResTexturePack03.bsa/.esp will not negatively affect the game unless running fully vanilla. To reacquire them at any time use the [Verify integrity of game cache] function from the Steam library options. That being said, I think* when version 6.0 is finished uploading the individual DLC packs should already contain the HD textures from the DLCs. Hope I'm correct about that but I can't check until its finished uploading. Yeah, he's having trouble uploading the base game hd textures. Interesting mod. Not something I'd personally use just because I don't like the idea of needlessly cycling (nor having a UI element up all the time) but cool none the less.
  4. I think the problem is the character/lighting they used because I use mature skin and my characters look nothing even close to that "beautified"... especially if I had age complexions, etc.
  5. You are totally correct. Apparently I really need to sleep. Will fix now, thanks. Edit: Fixed.
  6. I updated the section to make things a little more clear. Hopefully the author will be able to get the base game high definition textures uploaded soon as its obviously missing right now. I'll take a look, thanks. We'll see. I believe it had to do with load ordering.... I will check it out and update as needed. Edit: I believe it can be merged now. I think previously it was undesirable due to the guide doing merges mid-install rather than at the end.
  7. Downloads maybe to the users Download folder?
  8. I suppose it depends on the alterations in question. If it's a matter of segmenting triangles/sections just overwriting with SMIM would be as good or better. I don't pretend to know the details of the edits your referring to in particular but there really aren't many large mesh mods other than SMIM and Parallax for environments.
  9. Honestly I don't think mesh edits are a huge problem in a lighting mod so long as there are parallax versions available and the base texture mapping works like vanilla. Additionally, I think a USLEEP requirement is appropriate and welcome. This does limit you to Legendary only but I think at this point it is also appropriate to lessen workload. Just my 2c.
  10. Are the pre-rolled textures complete or are there some removed based on STEP mods?
  11. For loading screen removal nothing beats having an SSD. Hard drive platters are very slow... the slowest component in any system imo.
  12. My load times with a full SRLE is about 5-6 seconds... tops. The only exception is a new game start which can take about 30 seconds due to ICAIO init. I have the game and mods on an SSD and my processor is more powerful. Specs on top of the guide.
  13. No need since we overwrite that with the lore friendly and semi-skimpy version.
  14. I'm sure you will enjoy them, I know I do. :)
  15. You could always try SR:LE... :)
  16. Yes, the optional only.
  17. Witcher 3 has been updated to 1.12, the guide currently support 1.11 only. Mods should be getting updated in the next few days. Do not update until then. :)
  18. Blarghghghgh... lol. Editing on mobile phone sucks.
  19. Probably not the response you were hoping for but thanks for giving me a laugh on this crappy Monday morning. :)
  20. I see a note on the page saying certain combinations of amors + boots will cause clipping... however I don't see it on my character when naked and just boots, with fur armor and boots, or with the basic mage armor... what chest piece are you using? Wait, are you running the snowflakes patcher or the real shelter patcher? You said Real Skyrim Snowflakes then you seem to be running RS Patch 1.5?
  21. CACO does add items, but it also should have automatic compatibility with iNeed from the included scripts. Besides that, Cabbage is a vanilla item... I would definitely be looking in the iNeed direction tho, something isn't right.
