In your current setup, do you have it before or after Terrain Bump (assuming you did a STEP 2.2.8 install). I'm only asking because the 2.2.8 guide put HQ Snow AFTER Terrain Bump and I'm not sure if I should just swap out hq snow for this mod or if this mod should be AFTER terrain bump, ya know? Always so many questions.Â

I guess I'm the minority but I kind of prefer only one color for all conjurations. Idk why. I find this unnecessary. I agree with Torminator. Different colors isn't enough to wow me.

0o0ooO, this one is pretty. It actually has the snowy 'clumpy' look that I have never seen in any of the mods suggested here. Does that make sense? We should definitely compare this to HQ Snow Textures ASAP. This is extremely impressive.

Is there anyway to add the .dll values to the sweetfx.dll at the bottom or something? I've never done anything like that before. Does that make no sense? I'm asking if I can combine the 2 .dlls into one.

You already have a reason. The STEP team took the time to test everything so you don't have to. Yea, let me be the first to say that we are lucky that you guys are willing to do tedious testing like that. It was a huge help and the end result is awesome.Â

Maybe next week. I just want to actually play the game, haha. I lost like 3 hours of gameplay on the Dawnguard questline when I had to reformat my computer so once I get my game back to where I was with no visible messups (DAMN FLOATING GRASS), I'll see if Safety Load actually works or not.Â

Yea, idk, my enblocal.ini (not enbseries.ini anymore, that information is outdated) has the following for proxy [PROXY] EnableProxyLibrary=true InitProxyFunctions=true ProxyLibrary=d3d9_SFX.dll So you can see I'm already using a sweet fx proxy .dll :-/ Looks like I can't use this mod then :-(

This limiter Blackie posted. Enb limiter is off.I thought they were the same exact thing though. Also, my ENBSeries.ini already has a proxy library set since my ENB uses a sweetfx preset....so I can't use this?

Kk. If i drag a file to match up with the last mod loaded, that just alters that .esp, right? Does it create a new patch file?

Because SeriousHD has some better textures. Also, some HRDLC textures were preferred. I believe that's why.Â

So just to summarize, Vsync off in CCC, Skyrimprefs, and ENB. Frame Limiter set to 60 either with this mod or in ENB. That solved your stuttering, allsunday?

Do you know what the difference in preferences are? I have no idea how those tweaks work or what to look at for comparison.Â

Just an fyi: I have vsync set to always off in ccc and off in skyrimprefs. I have it set to true in enblocal

Ehhh YES. That setting is very likely to cause stuttering if you have it at =true. ;-)

Im not capped at 30. I can get up to 45 I think in certain areas.

Blackice, What is your gpu and what do you have the limiter set to? 60? And you also disabled vsync in ccc and skyrimprefs? Neorox, I see that many users have preloadtovram set to galse. Mine is set to true. I think that is the first thing I should try since it can reduce stuttet when set to false, right?

Mods, can we merge these two threads to the tech support page?

I have basically the EXACT SAME issue as this. I upgraded from a 7970 ghz 3gb to a R9 290 4 GB and my FPS stayed THE SAME. I think it just has something to do with ENBoost trying to lock the framerate to 30 fps and/or that Bethesda games just never really run that well on AMD cards. I also tried ALL combinations of vsync/triple buffering/whatever. No luck. Let me know if you figure out this issue. EDIT: I'm also pretty positive that it has nothing to do with PCI-e 2.0 vs 3.0. I have a 2.0 board as well. From what I could find, it seems that at most, we could benefit from 3.0 by only gaining like 5 fps max.

Judging from the screenshots on the page, I still think HQ Snow looks much better.

Are compares really needed for this though? There's no other mod that does this, and vanilla books all have the same 5 ugly textures.Probably not. If you're referring to what I said above, only the optional textures for pages would have to be compared against hq paper but the covers dont need to be.Â
