  1. Hi Vond! Sorry, I didn't mean to make it sound like they couldn't be used with the core, just that the core is made without those in mind so it kind of changes the feel of the ENB for me. But I guess that's all part of customizing your game to your own taste too. Just a suggestion, but you may want to add those just because a lot of people seem to have trouble ordering their mods from a lot of the comments I've seen. I guess if you are new to modding it can be a little difficult to figure out at first. Of course, there is also a lot to be said for trial and error too. I learn a lot more from my mistakes than I do from the successes. :)
  2. It actually looks really good in motion. I personally prefer the core versions with CLO and RLWC but this one came out really well for a standalone. Also with the Pure version you can use some mods that don't work as well with the core version such as Removed Ambient Fog, Revamped Exterior Fog, Dark dungeons for ENB, and a lot more. I only use these with the Pure version and not the core Vibrancy versions. When it's released I will post a link since this may be uploaded separately from our other ENB since it has different mods that we will recommend people use and we don't want it to get too confusing for people that are new to ENB or modding in general. As soon as it's done I will let you know. I'll also let you know when the Vibrancy 4.0 is released.
  3. Yep. I agree with you guys that Enhanced Blood is much better than Crimson Tide. It has a more realistic look where the Crimson Tide looks kind of fake to me.
  4. I do a lot more than just testing but Kyo does the vast majority of the coding since he is insanely quick at it and knows some tricks that I don't yet. He does some very unique things with ENB and breaks quite a few rules with it so it's really fun working with him and picking his brain. I have another version in the works also but it will take me quite a bit longer than Kyo to get everything just right. The man is a coding machine! I tell you what Bealdwine. Just let me know which version you want to use (I recommend the 3.0 for now) and shoot me a pm on Nexus since I'm on there quite a bit and I will help you tweak it for your pc.
  5. The only problem with this is that it makes such global changes. ENB configs are complicated and a LOT of the individual parameters affect each other so when you fix one thing then something else gets screwed up. I think it's a great idea in theory but since the parameters are so intertwined it would be very difficult to make changes without also affecting something that you don't mean to. You are a lot better off if you want to make any changes to customize your ENB to your particular taste by actually making the individual changes in your inis. A little more hassle but much better for fine tweaking. Also, some ENB configs that incorporate other mods (ours uses CLO and RLWC) would be extremely difficult to make proper changes with since some of the parameters may be tied in to other mods not supported by this tool. For instance, to change the brightness or darkness with our mod the best way is to make the changes in the realistic lighting ini rather than in the ENB ini. So that's another thing you have to take into account. While I do think this is a very cool idea, I think there are so many variables that it will be very difficult to get this to function exactly as the author intends.
  6. Wow. Thank you so much. I have been using STEP since day one and came on to see what new mods people were recommending. I had no idea ours would be one of them. That is so very cool. KyokushinOyama is the main man behind this (I'm Staind716 on Nexus) and has come up with some really cool effects. Have you tried the new Vibrancy 3.0 Reloaded? Kyo managed a "real life" bokeh that gives an awesome 3D effect in game with none of the "christmas lights" that you normally see in the background on dof. Adds a lot to the immersion. If you haven't tried it yet you should give it a shot. Easily my favorite version so far. Thanks again for recommending us and we are really glad that you enjoy it. :)
  7. I had the same problem with More Dynamic Shadows installed. As soon as I replaced that with the Shadow Striping Fix it worked fine for me.
  8. I have been using this and the Whiterun Parallax mod - HD2k versions and it looks incredible in game. I went by STEP for my install and not issues at all. He is supposed to be releasing a new city every week so all of these should definitely be included. Brings the game to a whole new level. :)
  9. Are you using another d3d9.dll besides the one for ENB? If you are you can just rename it and add it to ProxyLibrary in enbseries ini. Mine looks like this using SMAA. [PROXY] EnableProxyLibrary=true InitProxyFunctions=true ProxyLibrary=d3d9_smaa.dll
  10. Cool idea. I checked out your page and it looks like it would be great for a lot of people. I'm using SMAA and am really not willing to let it go so I am going to hold off on using it since I can't add the extra d3d9.dll to my ENB. So keep up the good work and hopefully this will help people with their fps issues.
  11. First of all you should try the wrapper version to see if there is any difference with that. I am using it and no problem here. Also, make sure bFloatPointRenderTarget is set to 1 in your Skyrim prefs ini. If not you will have graphical issues with brightness and things of that sort. Also, delete RendererInfo in your Documents/Skyim folder and let the game generate a new one. Let me know if you still have any trouble with it. I'm using this ENB with no trouble and it looks great. We developed this one with the 0.112 KAGE and it works really well so it shouldn't be an issue with that. https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=17232
  12. Sorry it took so long to get back with some more info. I have had a few friends trying this also to be able to get a little more data for you from other people besides just myself. These are all average results from several people that I am going to list. As far as performance the hit is extremely minimal. Only 1 or 2 frames which is quite impressive. I contacted Stakado for some more input and he claims that using SMAA set to ultra in the ini (he has ultra on by default) with no other AA enabled is as good as 8x MSAA. He also said he plays his game with only 2x enabled in Skyrim launcher and with the SMAA it is comparable to 16x MSAA. After trying this for myself I have to agree that it does have quality that is very comparable to this. I am playing on a lowly Nvidia 460m with an i7 quad core cpu so this should work for just about everybody. Most of my friends have beefier rigs and they are also very happy with the results. Hmm, I will have to go take a few screenshots with this enabled and disabled so you can see the difference. I'll take some with no other AA enabled and with 2x and maybe 4x with SMAA so you can see the quality for yourself. As soon as I get a chance this evening I will get on that. One of my friends just posted a version of SMAA injector with a regular d3d9.dll and also one for ENB. This is a super easy install and uninstall so I would recommend everyone to at least give it a shot and see what you think of it. Personally, I am so impressed with SMAA that I have added it to several of my other games with great results. This is way better than FXAA and doesn't have that vaseline on the screen look that FXAA is known for. Here's a link if you want to see for yourself. I think TC should give some thought to using this instead of the FXAA because while the performance is the same the quality is far, far better. https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=16233
  13. Yes, unfortunatly it is a little overpowered and should only be used if you are a very high level mage and playing on a hard difficulty. It would be nice if he would make a less powerful one.
  14. Like I said this is obviously not for everyone but is useful for those of us who like to unequip our arrows when we unequip the bow. Since I am using a mage I don't like to keep them equipped this playthrough. When I use an archer character then I will just uninstall it. Very simple fix.
  15. This one looks really good in game and should definetly be included. I actually just overwrote my other files with this one and I am happy with the results. So far the only change I am not crazy about is the candles but the rest is really nice work.
  16. I have been using this for a while now and it works like it says. A lot of the animations are random so you don't always know which one you will get but a lot of them are specific to certain situations. Actually a pretty cool mod to make your character feel a little more alive. I use the Puppermaster for some screenshots and this seems like a more immersive and user friendly version. I like it myself.
  17. This is a very cool lore friendly mod made by the same author whose 101 bugs mod has been used by STEP for quite a while now. It offers several different retextures for the Nightmother and her coffin. These all look much better than Vanilla and I think should be included in the guide. We really don't have anything that changes the not-so-great textures for these and it does look much creepier which befits the Nightmother. No issues using this one either. There are different styles, colors, and gore and non-gore versions of this and all look really good. https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=4762
  18. This is a very useful mod if you are one of those people (like me) who constantly manually unequips their arrows to get a better view of their character's armor every time you unequip your bow. Now when you unequip your bow your arrows will be unequipped also. This one may not be for everybody but I find it very useful. I have never had and trouble with this mod at all. https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=10753
  19. This mod adds several new weapons to the game. It is a stand-alone set and not a replacer for anything already in the game. I have used all of these quite a bit and have not had any issues with them. They look incredible and would be a really cool weapon addition to STEP. These are vey well done. https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=15494
  20. All right. I'm going to try to make myself useful with some mod suggestions. I have used all of these mods extensively in my game and have not had any problems with any of the ones that I am going to suggest. I think this would be a nice addition to STEP for people like myself who are playing a mage. The robes in the game are pretty boring and this does add a lot to the look of your character. The majority of the assets are taken from the Daedric Armor so I feel it is lore friendly which I know is a requirement for STEP. It is a stand-alone armor so it doesn't replace anything. Here's a link if you want to check it out. https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=14709
