  1. @blacksol: And those are actually pics from a round of testing we were doing. We now have it so it is only bright in certain spots when the sun is directly hitting it. So you have more shadowed and brighter snowy areas. Too much of the glaring snow does get very annoying and hard on the eyes as you noticed. So you have kind of a fine line there when it comes to snow glare. :) It's not normally as blue as in the second pic either, that was just the right combination of lighting in that particular area and time of day to make that blue effect. That's why Kyo had to get a shot of it. I think that one is pretty cool myself. ;) I think you might like the new version once we release it. I think the cold, snowy areas look really good without being overbearing and the more temperate regions are colorful without crossing over into WoW cartoonish coloring. Well, we like it anyway. :)
  2. Ok, the new version will be ready to release either Tuesday the 19th or Wednesday the 20th. This is the standalone version that will not require CLO or RLWC. It will have some new features that I'm not going to reveal at the moment. And some additional surprises for this one. We are really happy with this and once the final coding is done we will upload this to it's own page. Right now the working name is Pure Vibrancy ENB. As soon as it's uploaded and ready to go I will post a link and let everyone know it's available for download. Around that time we will also be updating Vibrancy to 5.0 with a lot of changes and surprises for it also. So please, just a little more patience. It's coming soon and we think you will be really pleased with the results. We appreciate your support and are working very hard to make this truly special and unique. Thanks.
  3. Is this more what you are looking for? https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/images/98425 https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/Images/97965 And if you notice, this is not called Realistic ENB. It is called Vibrancy for a reason. More vibrant colors and effects. We actually had a Cold Vibrancy version that was more along the lines you are speaking of but only a very few people downloaded it so we decided to drop that one. Now we are just going with what we like and use in our own games. I find it just a little silly that people get so hung up on what their version of realistic is. If we want realistic, then it's time to take a break and go for a nice walk outside. But if everyone had the same taste then there would only be one ENB on Nexus instead of the sea of them that are now available. If you don't like this one there are plenty more to choose from. Hope you find one that fits what you personally like. :)
  4. I don't have Shadowmere quite yet but I am tracking this and I really like the way this one looks. I'm doing the Dark Brotherhood quests now (when I have a chance to actually play) so as soon as I get Shadowmere I will post my opinion of it ingame. From Slof's other work though, I imagine it will look great.
  5. I installed this and tried it and while it is a good idea and I like some of the designs, the glow is way too intense. It makes the bottles stand out far too much and is very intrusive. So I'm back to Silly Level of Detail for now. Once the non-glowing version is released I will probably give this one another shot though. A great idea, it just needs a little more work.
  6. Thanks for your patience. We had a couple of ideas we wanted to try before we finalized it and it is coming out really well so we just want to make some changes before the release. I will let you know when we are ready to upload it. :)
  7. Just a quick update. I spoke a little too soon about the release. We are making some more changes that will make this one look even better so we are tweaking and testing right now to try to get the best look we possibly can. As soon as it's ready I will let you know. One or two days at the most. :)
  8. Awesome job on this. I'm using it now and no ctd issues like with Windhelm. Fantastic work on these Parallax mods. These should definitely be included in the next STEP update. :)
  9. You got it. Separate mods, separate threads. ;)
  10. Hey guys. Thanks for all of your feedback and support. We really appreciate it. So a little announcement here before I post it anywhere else. We have decided to release the new standalone version on it's own page rather than the Vibrancy page for several different reasons. Since it is a standalone trying to mix the installation instructions with Vibrancy's would be confusing at best. Also we will have different recommended mods for this one. So to cut down on the confusion we will be releasing this separately on it's own page. Right now we are going with what we have been calling it in development so unless something changes it will be Pure Vibrancy ENB. We are shooting for the release tomorrow and as soon as we have it ready I will let you know and post a link. So as much as I hate to write another description page, I will bravely soldier on and get it done as quickly as possible. Just thought I would keep you informed of our new plan for the release. If all goes as planned it will be available early tomorrow. I'll be back. :)
  11. Lol. Have fun! It's nice to take a break and actually play every once in a while. About to do that myself. Enjoy! :D
  12. I scanned the settings in the High Performance version and didn't find anything that should be giving you that much of a hit. And since we haven't had other comments about it being that much I have to agree that it is probably due to the additional customization that you have done. My best guess is it is due to URWL and your custom shadow settings since we are using Boris's tweaks for the pixel by pixel shadows and Skyrim's shadows are notorious for being fps intensive. And of course more uGrids = more rendering so that could have some bearing on it too. You know, I so rarely toggle ENB completely off I hadn't actually noticed that about the SMAA but now you have me a little curious so I will be checking that out later. And I have been to a LOT of different areas in Skyrim for testing and occasionally actually PLAYING my game for a change and never had the bright snow issue. Since we haven't had anyone else report that either I am going to have to say that is probably texture related. If it were an ENB issue it would be a lot more global than just a few isolated areas. And I posted some new screenshots of the upcoming Pure standalone version on page 5 of our Bethesda thread if anyone is interested in checking them out. I don't know if anyone has seen them yet since they are kind of buried in there but here is a link if you want to have a look at what we have been up to. :) https://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1378303-vibrancy-enb-series/page__st__120
  13. Yes, the smaa makes a big difference also with your fps. I wouldn't consider playing without it myself. Well, still doing some tweaking and testing on the standalone. Our testers have reported better fps with this one (we are only testing on high quality for now) and are more than happy with the new version. Hopefully we will have it ready for release later tonight or tomorrow. I will let you know as soon as it's up. Normally the best we feel about one is semi-satisfied but I have to admit we are a tiny bit proud of this one. I'll get back with you later as soon as things calm down a little.
  14. Really sorry you are having issues with ENB. I hate to say it but I'm kind of stumped with this one. I will run it by my partner in crime Kyo and see if he has any ideas. And sorry it took so long to get back to you. A lot of personal issues. :)
  15. Wow. To be honest, when I first started reading this and saw the comments from PuuLoo there was no way I was ever going to use this just because of the horrific attitude. BUT after reading some more and seeing the very positive change and all of the effort to help users I have since changed my mind. We all have bad days so it is understandable. So great job and I will be adding this and giving some feedback also. Thanks and great work! :)
  16. It's also really important to make sure that you don't have any files still installed from one of your ENB mods. Different mods use different files a lot of times so it is easy to miss if you are not looking for it. Check your Skyrim folder closely and make sure you don't have any leftover files that shouldn't be there because they can cause a lot of issues if they are left installed. If you want a really thorough walkthrough for how to make sure your ENB is correctly installed we went into a lot of detail on our description page. Try following all of these steps and let us know if you are still having problems. I'm not recommending you to try our ENB, just to follow the guide on the description page to see if that helps. https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=17232
  17. Hi Chesko! Nice to see you here. I like the idea of the consumable oil but I personally will be looking forward to the torchbug lanterns. Don't get me wrong, the consumable oil is a great idea too. The torchbugs just remind me of catching fireflies and putting them in jars when I was a kid. Awesome idea and a definite must have for me when you get finished with it. And I agree while the catching on fire idea might be funny the first few times, it would get annoying very quickly. Great work on this! :)
  18. Lol. I was just coming here to recommend this too. I agree completely. This does make a very noticeable difference in the distant tree lods. It makes them look a lot more like trees than ugly half-rendered garbage. I always hated that. Anyway, great mod and most definitely worth a try. By the way, nice pics ivactheseeker. :) If anybody wants to see how this looks with ENB I posted a few pics in the user section of the mod's page.
  19. This does look pretty cool, but I have to agree that the idea of wearing a lantern full of flammable oil in a battle seems like it should be a recipe for disaster. While I like the idea, I'm going to track and keep an eye on this one for a while first.
  20. This sounds like it could be very convenient. Keep up the good work! :)
  21. We made the 4.0 a little darker than the other versions but let me know if it's not dark enough for you. We are discussing releasing a bright and dark version so people don't have to tweak it themselves. Just give us some feedback on it and we will go from there. :) Edit: Thought I would drop by with a few more shots of the 0.113 sun rays. https://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/559817385132521019/5DF0E72BB1780690D324A81FA294ECD01C900BCB/ https://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/559817385132502943/138A387C258304ADADB613B3689C5BD4EAC4E19B/ https://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/559817385132533123/D18309DB5391495DDAE58C64CF74194FEFFF0F6F/ https://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/559817385132545561/FFC86DA150F19A53EEB70C205EDE1D827568E444/ https://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/559817385132481526/6C47F7D66E932959FD819D67A8D40468277AEE5F/
  22. Just wanted to let you know that Boris has released KAGE 0.113 with REAL sun rays. We are currently testing it out but here's a couple of quick pics I took with it. This is just dropping it in and running with it. This looks so cool when the sun rays are shining through the trees. I'll get some better pics later. :) https://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/559817385110364698/FEC018E864BB2701028225AA6B11CF48E81027BE/ https://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/559817385110408186/F2DDBF0FFDF6C1DD84713C0E6FAA9EE30EB923B0/ https://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/559817385110422960/F00A1D4EC1E305F001EBC364F1EE474F840A1F05/ https://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/559817385110440614/2EA8516ECF84BDF0830AA9FF4BBD8D31D1EF376D/ https://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/559817385110449999/A50165906E084A599B98C4080C9CD06A270199F2/ Very nice addition for immersion. :) Edit: Just letting anyone who is interested know that Vibrancy 4.0 with 0.113 KAGE is now out and Pure will be released soon also. https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=17232
  23. Hi AngryEeyore! Love that name by the way. I noticed your comments on our thread and was wondering if you had also tried changing ForceVideoCard to true in the enbseries ini and also changing these lines in the enbseries ini to: [sHADOW] ShadowCastersFix=false ShadowQualityFix=false ShadowObjectsFix=true DetailedShadowQuality=1 UseBilateralShadowFilter=false I saw Kyo and UnrealWarfare had recommended these to you on the comments and wasn't sure if you had seen these or tried them yet. These are also possible fps increasers for ATI. I've been having a little trouble with my internet and just saw these this morning. If you haven't tried these then give them a shot and let us know how it works for you. Thanks.
