SKYRIMLE Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim (by Enai Siaion)
Khugan replied to MysticDaedra's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I would say that you are an example of a modder that mods the game and not so much the people. Your mods have principle, or a common thread that can be seen from one to the other. I don't agree with all of them, like your robe changes in CCF, in fact I really hate those changes, but I CAN see why you made them. I remain a fan of your mods because you are consistent. I have more respect for scientists than I do for politicians. -
Has something changed recently in TES5EDIT? I don't do this often, so perhaps I am just forgetting something, but occasionally I click the file header in an esp/esm in TES5Edit to make master changes. Tonight, I clicked to find the header empty. I'm using version 3.1.2 for DynDoLod purposes, so I installed 3.1.1 from the Nexus, but I still have blank file headers. I posted here because searches brought up nothing and I thought that maybe it is a Windows 10 issue. Thanks.

SKYRIMLE Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim (by Enai Siaion)
Khugan replied to MysticDaedra's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I'm not aiming this at EnaiSiaion, but to mod authors in general. You should decide early whether you are here to mod a game or to mod people. One is a lot less frustrating without the other. -
The only problem I've been having (more of an annoyance really) is that when you download from Nexus to MO, you must permit it each time in Edge. I know I don't have to use Edge, but for now, I want to use as much of the Windows 10 features as possible. My performance is roughly the same as it was in Win7.

Just a heads-up, isoku just updated this to 2.02, fixing a bug that effected quests relying on forced greet.

DROPPED Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul (by Shurah)
Khugan replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I don't know if this is the place to ask this, but I want to know what kinds of edits will conflict with this mod. For instance, if I remove one of the shelves from behind Hulda and add an oven, (from Hearthfire) would this or an edit like this cause a conflict? I like to take ideas from popular mods and just add the parts that I like and leave out the rest. I've added a roof above the guard shack on the left as you enter Whiterun. I've added a fire, cook-pot, and a few idle markers near the fast travel boat guy in Dawnstar. So far I've only edited navmesh in one place where I added one edge to make a face so that an npc can reach an idle marker to lean against a rock near the boatman in Dawnstar. If edits like this will indeed conflict with Immersive Citizens AI Overhaul, what is involved in making a patch? I also want to thank you for this revolutionary mod and as soon as I am able I will be donating to your efforts. -
I know you can tell much from simply the number of scripts in a mod, but Hypothermia and Camping Lite have 28 scripts total compared to Frostfall ( which I love dearly ) which has 138. I am sure you will be losing a lot of features though. For instance, no cooking at a campfire without FF, and no follower support in campsites. I'm still tempted to give this a go.

What stability reasons? I've read back through post but perhaps I'm just missing it?

I'm playing with 4gb as well and have notice improvement in my game play. The first thing I noticed was that when I got to save a game I no longer have the stuttering/pausing in the save menu. I can immediately select save and it saves. The next thing is I can move around Skyrim without freezing periodically. Lastly, I can usually play around 2 hours before ctd, I played for 6 hours and exited my game normally. I playing on an older rig with 4gb ram and an E8400 Wolfdale clocked at 3.6 (yeah a dual core) and a Geforce GTX 660 with 2gb. I play with a custom high resolution texture pack, Frostfall, Vilja, Interesting NPCs, and another 140-odd mods from STEP. I alos use an ENB preset and ENBhost. Windows 7 Home Premium x64. I do not play with a changed Ugrids. My texture packs are 2k with 1k normals where possible. I don't use any resource monitors, so I don't have any hard numbers to back up anything, only my experience of playing Skyrim before and after this patch and the difference is night and day for me. Thank you sheson! EDIT: Im using the patched loader that WilliamImm posted (thanks) so I'm not sure what setting were used for the memory blocks. Also, thank you Boris Vorontsov, and the SKSE team! If you think about it, the way all these pieces come together and improve this game time after time... This is one great community!

Missing (black/purple) Texture? Report it here!
Khugan replied to Farlo's question in DDSopt Support
Have you ever ran into textures that you can't reduce? I was going through my custom texture folders trying to free up some memory by doing half size normal maps. In game however, I get occasional black areas in the texture like the alpha got changed. It's not all the textures, just a handful. I have tried using dxt5 and 8a compression but it makes no difference. The only solution is to add the 2k normals from the archive and overwrite. The only thing I have not tried is uncompressed, but I guess that would defeat the purpose. Any help would be appreciated. When I say custom, I mean that I have gone through all available texture replacers and hand picked every texture possible. -
Correct and you can even modify the armor mesh with a (sort of) grab tool. Modify bone weights etc.
-
Yes, this is a real game changer in terms of Skyrim armors and bodies. Everything can be unified with this outstanding application. You don't have to be into sexy armors to appreciate the doors this tool opens. It deserves votes for file of the month IMO.

MO downloads handling and the new Nexus subdomain system.
Khugan replied to Dynalisia's question in Mod Organizer Support
I tried editing a nexus client config file in MO where I found the old url, but I still get the same error. -
Someone asked about the weather edits on the mod page.
-
Sorry, it was a poor attempt at humor. In RL, never saw a reanimated corps so I don't know if the mod is accurate or not.
-
I've never seen a corps re-animated, so I don't know what it would look like.

You guys may want to consider Necromancy-- Undead FX by WDog367. It very much adds immersion and variance to the game. I think it's pretty brilliant. Mod on Nexus by insane0hflex

Hi Dopamine, If you right-click your volume control icon, click play playback devices, and then double-click the green checked speaker entry, what is the default format found under the advanced tab?
