  1. Yes, that was it. I think it's an incompatibility betweeen BMD and LM that could be fixed with the pre-existing patches within BMD, but then that would mess with the Core Patch, so I choose the "relocate the ESP" option.
  2. Alright, that fixed LM. Also, I can use "Normal" now, as well. Next issue, albeit a minor one, is that i'm trying to use Rebuilt - Sanctuary Houses, and there's some conflict somewhere. If I place it where LOOT wants it, the menus under Structures > Metal don't appear. If I move it towards the bottom of the load order, it's two nested sub menus appear, but I lose half the *other* metal ones, including floors and walls. I'd try to use the SKE version, but I don't think that'll work. Right now, I'm just manually saving, moving the esp, and reloading whenever I want to build anything with it. EDIT: Or, I don't know, I could try getting the compatibility patch for Workshop Rearranged from its mod page. *facepalm*
  3. Sweet, I'll give that a try when I get off work.
  4. So yeah, I switched back to LM Hard, made the changes for the DLC addon mod. And every legendary says, when I try to scrap it, "This item cannot be scrapped." *throws hands up* What do I have to do to use "Normal" mode?
  5. But I don't use that patch, as I don't use the "modern weapons" part of that list. Just the two weapon mod expansions, arbitration, and LM.
  6. Quickly switching to a different topic, I found a really nice mod, while mourning for Snap'n'Build. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/11639/? It doesn't have the cool wood and metal walls and inside door frames that SnB does (that I've found, at least), but the new tilesets are *really* nice, and I actually like them better than the one added by the older mod. It might make a decent replacement. I'm ... not using that patch. How odd. On retrospect, I tend to scrap the weapons I pull the mods from anyway, so really, "Hard" isn't that ... um, yeah. I'll re-enable the Hard version, and give it a try tonight.
  7. Yeah, pretty much my sentiments.
  8. Where is this hardcoded? Please tell me it's not the Core Patch.
  9. Welp, new issue. Legendary Modifications isn't working. First off, I'm using "Normal" version, with no 2LM. I started with 2LM, but I read on the mod page that this problem can be caused by that plugin, so I reinstalled without it. Now for the problem. I can *remove* legendary effects, but I can't add it to another. Specifically, the effect is removed, but no item is created in my inventory. Um, what? I've been using LM for over a year, and I've *never* had this problem before, not even with earlier versions of this modlist.
  10. *sputter* WTF IS MY DRAW DISTANCE DOING AT 3000!?!?!??!?! I know goddamn well I edited it for 20,000! *curses the uncaring gods* ... Despite all my rage, I'm still just a rat in a cage, apparently. *toddles off*
  11. I tried that. Didn't help. I removed ShadowBoost entirely. That made it a *little* better. It's at least less obvious now. The FPS impact has been minmal so far.
  12. One last thing: removing the defunct lighting mods fixed many of the minor lighting issues I was having, but one persists. Now that i've got the others worked out, it's become more stand-out and grating. Basically, I'm watching shadows draw ALL THE TIME, despite having my video settings set to the standards of your BethINI instructions above. It's really disconcerting to see bright sunshine in the distance, and then as I get halfway there, the building to suddenly get draped in shadow. Or more annoying, every time I approach *any* open air building, the shadows inside the building draw themselves as I approach in a very obvious manner. Is this ShadowBoost at work? Do I need to change an INI setting? Just tell me what to alter and I'll do it, because DAMN is it annoying.
  13. Turns out I use half the Modern Weapons plugins, just not the two ammo frameworks or Weaponsmith Extended. Reinstalled the ones I do use to better fit with his settings. Merged all the extra Legendary Mod esps with "Merge Plugins" since there were so many.
  14. OH! I never even looked at that section, as I don't see the point of modern weapons in a timeline that diverged in the 1950s. If I wanted to play Call of Duty, I'd be playing CoD. I'll give it a once over. BTW, my load order got messed up, so I had to manually redo it. I hadn't realized until now how many patches had gotten merged, so I reviewed the entire list. Between changes to lighting, weather, the Better Settlers clothing section, and the no-longer-needed VIS and Armorsmith compatibility patches I was still holding onto, I just dropped my plugin list by *35*. Damn. I think I *will* have to start a new game now, because *that* many plugins going bye-bye is probably going to break my game. I'll find out shortly.
  15. Hey, I only just now noticed... your load order has Legendary Modifictions mod, but it's not on the modlist. I use it too, so was curious why it's not.
  16. Thanks for the note on placement of the ESM. I was wondering why I was having issues with it.
  17. Honestly, I don't find them that much harder, and I'm someone who wants to hunt every so-called "l33t" gamer who insists a game has to be played on the hardest difficulty or it's "too easy" and make them play the original 8-bit Ninja Gaiden trilogy until they fall to their knees and weep for mercy.
  18. For aHUD, my hudtemplates_darn.xml files is 69,632 KB. Everything else matches what you describe. This is a brand new fresh install, applied yesterday. I hit "Replace" not "Merge" when installing it. In Darn Support FWE, my hud_main_menu.xml has 887 lines. The one you referenced is #876. The size is 25,416 KB.
  19. Here's a picture of Crow, the trader. He's missing his brahmin, and his inventory is just 3 stimpacks. https://imgur.com/OJOxn7c
  20. I've triple checked the order of the mods as listed, and everything is in the right order, even the plugins. I'm lost here. I'm just making due with the default layout. Hardly the end of the world.
  21. Actually I just switched to NAC Enhancer. It's almost as good as PrC, and it fixes my Pipboy issue! It also doesn't take 10 FPS off my performance!
  22. So I did do something wrong, I put the "darn" folder in the wrong spot. Fixed that and it restored the missing UI elements. I still can't *move* any of the elements, though.
  23. It really sucks. I *love* the ENB, but effect on my Pipboy is grating. I tried its INI edit, doubling, even tripling the variable recommended, and Zero Change.
  24. I'm guessing he's either quitting and refusing to let anyone else enjoy his work, or a horde of whiners pissed him off and he's responding by taking his ball and going home. I really hate what's happened to the modding community. On one side, we have a bunch of entitled, whiny ******s who can't read a goddamn Readme.txt or FAQ to install something properly. On the other, we have a growing section of mod authors who's response to anything that displeases them is to yank all their stuff down "as a statement," and others who do the same "in support." Hell, last I heard, some group of @$$hats on the Nexus Forums were actually trying to come up with a form of "Mod DRM" that would force you to to agree to an EULA every time you started the game with the mod installed, or mod wouldn't load. Fortunately, I have my copy saved, zipped, and archived on Dropbox. EDIT: Also, I'm using Photorealistic Commonwealth with your mod build, and the Pipboy screen is *really* faded, like it's backlight is set really low. It's still usable, but it's a bit of an eyestrain. The PhC modpage mentions something about dimming it, but being able to fix it with an INI setting, but that setting has no effect. I"ll post a screenshot when I get home to take one.
  25. Just a heads up in case it hasn't been mentioned yet, but Snap-n-Build is *gone*. Mod Author deleted all his files. He's only made one comment about it over on bethnet, and said he *migh* post an explanation on the Nexus later. Probably going to want to pull that from the Core, I'm sorry to say.
