Trying to follow the zEdit instructions but as soon as I hit "Build" next to the ZPatch, I get a pop-up that says: "Error: Failed to get flag value at 9440: "ACBS\Template Flags\Use Spell List" Failed to resolve element at path "ACBS\Template Flags" But it seems to work otherwise, as Zpatch is created. Not sure I want to use it with that error.

Quick Fix-Mod Recommendation: "Realistic Water Two LOD Fix" I noticed Realistic Water 2 still had problems with it's ungodly LOD seams. This mod fixes it, and it's ESP goes into the Bashed Patch. So far I'm not seeing any issues with it. Also, the Classic mod "Timing is Everything" does not appear to need porting. I was using it "as-is" now that MCM is working, and it seemed to be doing it's job, just fine.

My issue was hardware related. I'll have to turn off a lot of textures if I want my 3 year old laptop to run it, but my desktop churns out a solid 30 FPS at 4K. Turning it down to 1080p gets me 60 FPS and no more "shaky cam". EDIT: I'm running the Modlist 99.9% as ordered. I didn't skip any optional mods, and I only added a single additional ESP/BSA combo, the "50% More Perks" optional file for "Ordinator."

I have a better description for my issue than what I posted 2 posts back: It's shaky-cam. Whenever I move or turn, it feels like the camera is *vibrating* along the horizontal axis. It's not rubber-banding because movement itself feels smooth, weirdly. ENB's FPS counter has yet to dip below 24 FPS and that's out in the world next to the Solitude Docks. I have rebuilt my INIs from the ground up, following the guide again, as well as my ENB. Nothing changes. Stuck at work for 4 more hours, so I can't verify if it's a hardware issue yet.

Heh, so it's my crappy laptop. That's a relief. I'll hold off on further testing until I get off work and can dump all 60+ Gigs of this onto my gaming PC. Quick version: we have bandwidth caps and modlists tend to eat up a nice chunk of it. I have Wi-fi at work and an old gaming laptop (870M) so I tend to do my modding at work during downtime (this list took me 4 days to finish) to save on bandwidth.

Okay, I've finally finished installing and setting everything up. So far, so good, with only one obvious issue at the outset. My screen... messed up. It's not textures or framerates. FPS is 28-30 and that's on my shitty laptop. I expect that to improve tremendously once I move this to my gaming PC. When I stand still everthing looks good. But when I move or turn, it's like screen-tearing, only 100x worse. It's almost like entire frames are "sticking" for a half-second as I move. It's really hard to describe, and I can't create a vid of it on this system, atm. I think I may have f'ed up on Vsync somehwere. I'm going back through, looking for anything I might have fumbled back in the Preparation Section or INI settings. Anyone experience this before?

Question: I'm installing this modlist for the first time, and I've noticed something odd on the "Merging Patches" section, and I want to be sure I haven't missed something. On the Landscape Merged, I still have a BSA and INI file for Majestic Mountains in the new merged mod. Is that correct? I'm not used to BSAs carrying over. I double-checked the entry for MM and it doesn't mention extracting the BSA. Just being paranoid and wanting to be sure this is right.

This is a great guide. I'm using it currently, and it's very stable. It's also easy to expand upon, as I've added about 3-4 dozen extra mods after making sure everything was kosher, and so far I've seen only very minor issues, all from my added mods.

GUIDE Best/most stable/current FO4 mod pack/guide?
Barachiel replied to Gutmaw's topic in General Fallout 4 Discussion & Support
I've used the first two, and while i love Gernash's list, it's a bit outdated at this point, and the chief selling point, his compatibility patches, now cause as many problems as they solved. For the time being, I've moved to BiRaitBec's modlist, and the list by itself is *very* stable. I was able to run it at a full 4K, and maintain 36-45 FPS even with his ENB and all the textures. Taking it down to 1080p, and I was getting a solid 60 FPS. I've since added more mods of my own, since he doesn't really touch settlement mods (barely) and world/quest content (not at all), and so far it's holding up pretty well. I did ditch one of his lightng mods (Fr3nesson's lighting tweaks) because on my monitor it just made things *WAY* too dark. -
"Timing is Everything" Is a mod by kryptopyr, for Oldrim. It was basically some scrpts and an MCM menu that let you control when things like the DLC quests and major quests level-triggered. It was great for keeping things from happening all at once in a new game. I've seen SSE mods that do bits of what this mod did, but not the full thing. Well, turns out the Oldrim mod works in SSE now that the MCM is fully functional. The esp probably needs saving in the CK to complete the conversion properly, but even without it, it's been working fine with me on my last run through. I'd recommend taking a gander at it.

Beantown Interiors just updated to 9.1. I know it's no longer on the list, but it was, so I figured I'd mention it. Power Armor Animation Changes also updated today. -

I keep having this odd crash in the workshop menu. I've already gotten the loose files version of Armorsmith Extended, and that hasn't helped. I suppose I'll have to go through and start wacking my overly large list of settlement mods, unless you know of another cause for that. -

The author provides an indepth FAQ on all his mods, and his section on USO was very enlightening. I won't be using it, but only because it's designed primarily for PS4 and thus lacks certain things like snap points (thats considered "external resources" by Sony) and the way his menu system has to get around Sony's limitations. Shame. I liked some of the sets it added. Oh well. -

Oh, I know. I remember having to do that with Steam Workshop for classic Skyrim. That's a different mod. USO actually adds in objects that can't normally be built. The one you linked just removes requirements. -

... ...... ......... *TWOFISTEDFACEPALM* How in the name of Zeus' *BUTTHOLE*, did I not see that? (right-click desktop) Using Cortana never brings it up. Don't know why. BTW, I dont' normally bring up Beth.net mods, but one of my favorite Youtubers (CordlessVII) keeps using it in his builds. Figured I'd toss it up for consideration. It even works on PS4, so it can't be *too* invasive. https://bethesda.net/en/mods/fallout4/mod-detail/4022635
