Fallout Not working - Troubleshooting
Barachiel replied to mcshame's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
Whenever I find I have a problem with setting this modlist up, it's almost always the Fallout Stutter Remover. I've only managed to get that thing installed ONCE and not have it be the mod that won't even let the game start up. Disable it and see if that fixes your problem. -
I'm just walking around. I've crashed twice in Whiterun just moving through the city, and once out at the Halted Stream camp. On the last one, I did see a visual error right before the crash. The side gate had gone invisible, IE it wasn't there anymore but the extra details on it were hanging in mid air. I do complete rebuilds on merged patches. EDIT: I did change one thing settings wise. I turned of iNeeds, because for some reason, on this playthrough, it was behaving weirdly. It was applying the Hungry debuff twice, not triggering the on screen or audio prompts that I was hungry, and no amount of food would remove it. Not even turning off on the current save removed it. I had to go back to before the latest bout of hunger, and turn it off there.
-
I made the most recent changes, and now my game is very unstable. I can't play for more than 30 minutes without a crash. All I did was add My Warmaidens, the CACO 3DNPC patch, and do a rebuild of the merged patch.
-
I've noticed a small FPS drop, but its always bloody snowing in Dawnstar, so I'm not sure which is the cause. New problem, I think. All my Dark Elves are caucasian, and not grey-skinned. I'm going to guess it has to do with one of the beauty mods.
-
That fixed it! Yeah, I'm having sudden and startling FPS drops in combat, both when combat starts, and when VioLens triggers.
-
Well, this just started out of nowhere. I made my character, saved, exited, came back, and now loading ANY save causes CTD during load. I've changed NOTHING. I didn't even shut down my computer, I just went downstairs to make lunch.

Does dropping Inconsequential NPCs require starting a new game? I'm still in the LAL starting cell, so I'm hoping not. :D

Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

Does DynDOLOD need to be redone every time Vivid Weathers updates? -
Vivid Weather 1.14 is now up. Neovalen shouted it out in the his thread.

SRLE Extended Mod Suggestions

Hm. Good enough. Little self-discipline won't kill me. -
SRLE Extended Mod Suggestions
Barachiel replied to Darth_mathias's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Why, if I may ask? The built in auto save system tended to save at the worst possible times, and had practically gave my game seizures (oddly better now in your guide, rather than just plain SRLE, something I still don't understand). -
SRLE Extended Mod Suggestions

Have you considered a Save Manager like CASM or Auto Save Manager? Also, I'm a bit of an RPer, so "Take Note: Journal of the Dragonborn" is a good addon that doesn't seem to interfere with anything else (so far). Just have to change the access key to something other than "X" to avoid issues with iHUD. I personally use "[". So far the only mods I've tacked onto your wonderful guide are ASM, Take Note, and Morskom Estate, in place of Elysium Estate. -
I should really start looking at other threads! :D

Brilliant! This will make keeping up much easier. One question: what changed with the addition of Vivid Weathers? I'm asking because the changes spanned Neo's build, as well as yours? I'm not looking for a detailed breakdown, just want to make sure I didn't miss anything. As I saw it, it was *Remove Vividian ENB *Remove Vividian ENB SRLE Merged *Remove Climates of Tamriel & Patches *Remove Realistic Snowflakes *Remove True Storms *Remove Lightning During Thunderstorms *Install Vivid Weathers *Install Vivid Weathers ENB *Create Vivid Weathers ENB Merged *Rebuild DynDOLOD and RSpatch

As someone who finds the History page kinda confusing, I'd have liked the Changelog, but I can see where making MORE work for you is less than ideal How about some kind of guide to interpreting the History page. It's fine if I keep up with it every few hours, but once the changes snowball, it's hard to tell what's been changed. At least for me.
-
You mean in the vicinity of it, or in general? Because I've used it before with no noticable overall FPS impact. Not seeing any right now, either.
-
I know, but it's one of my favorite housing mods of all times, bugs be damned. Plus, I like my homes to be projects. Elysium Estates, is just "walk up, read note, pick up key, open door, done." I won't deny it's beauty, but it feels like an empty achievement for me. What's your opinion on Morskom Estate? I've considered adding it to my own build, making it the second mod I've tacked on w/o either guide.
-
Well, I'm still interested in maintaining BFU, so I'm going to see how incompatible it is, once all the patchers get done rebuilding. Even have to redo DynDOLOD thanks to the ELFX upgrade.
-
I'd wish you a happy mother's day, but that would not come out right. :D Enjoy your holiday!
-
Yes. It's not *always on*, thank God. Apparently, it just sometimes triggers in frantic combat scenarios (like boss battles), where I'm scrambling not to die. I'm fully convinced I'm TRIGGERING something that either I can't turn off, or that is glitchy and doens't switch off when stamina depletes. If I reload the save, and do the fight again, it doesn't happen. Thank God, that MCM active abilities thing was annoying. :D
-
It's clearly some kind of active ability that simply will not turn off. Most special moves drain stamina. I just wish I knew what it was and how to STOP it.
-
I didn't activate Vigor, so I don't think it's that. It's disabled in the MCM.
-
Huh. Dunno about the backpack. I'll keep playing and see. Did remember one thing that might be related: i cannot enable Bandoliers in the CCOR MCM menu. It's greyed out in both columns, despite both mods being enabled. I already tried turning running off and on, and it had no effect. I'm not running, I'm CHARGING. It's like i'm locked into a combat manuever I have no idea how it triggered.
-
Yeah, I figured that one out and killed Frostfall before starting. Second glitch: sometimes during a frentic combat, I somehow get stuck in a charging stance, moving really fast, constantly draining fatigue, and unable to jump. I can stop the running part by sheathing my weapon, but the fatigue and inability to jump persist. If I redraw my weapon, it's back to charging. WTF? Still haven't managed to figure out the backpack glitch either.
-
Okay, got through the vanilla start just fine. Only had one issue (Lokir died on the carriage for some reason) but a restart fixed that. My first real glitch is weird. I cannot equip backpacks. They're in the game. I jsut got a nice one, of Dibella, with a fun little Speech enchant and +50 carry capacity. Will not let me equip it. I can click on it, but nothing happens, even though it's in the Armor tab.
