System requirements for SR?

Only if Bethesda converts the game to a 64 bit application. Not likely to happen. -
System requirements for SR?
DanimalTwo replied to Phyrre56's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
Your CPU speed I believe will make little if any difference. You are well advised to stick with the lower resolution textures if available. Your limiting factor will be that Skyrim is a 32 bit application and if you exceed or come close to 3.1 RAM (not VRAM) you will crash to desktop (CTD). You can use DSSopt on the main texture packs and it should help. But sticking with 1K textures where possible will also help. I have been doing Skyrim Revisited (SR) since early February and upgraded my graphics from dual SLI GTX 470 1.25 GB to a single GTX 680 4 GB with ENB and maintain close to 60 Frame per Second (FPS). I have yet to achieve a staple configuration. Using optimized textures, I do not come close to 3.1 GB, but still frequently CTD. However, I am using other mods in addition to SR such as Interest People and other mods that add NPCs. That may be my problem. -
Wrye Bash vs Mod Organizer
DanimalTwo replied to flyingspatula's question in General Skyrim LE Support
For file like borderless window or double cursor fix, I just installed like any other mod. It works. Used correctly MO leaves you actual skyrim directory untouched, except for SKSE and any ENB you install. When making changes using TES5Edit the files are stored in their original directory, unless you are making patches. If you are making patches, they are stored in your MO\overwrite directory and then you have to move them to the proper MO\mods\ folder. -

You are probably right. I never thought of that, but then again my MO uses the standard structure. -
Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
DanimalTwo replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
I posted a fix last weekend. What I was missing is the Mod Organizer (MO) expects SpyProc patches to be installed using MO in the MO/mods directory (I assumed everyone was doing this anyways). Some people were installing it elsewhere. MO then copies to files to the MO/overwrite directory with patches in the "SkyProc Patches" directory and for automatic variants (AV) the textures in the overwrite\textures directory. Installing anywhere else seems to fail. -

Looking in my "MO\mod\UNP Blessed Body" directory I see the following directories under "meshes\actors\character": _1stperson character assets character assets female characters character female In "_1stperson": sketeton.nif (yes you will have to run FNIS) In "character assets": femalebody_0.nif femalebody_1.nif femalefeet_0.nif femalefeet_1.nif femalehands_0.nif femalehands_1.nif In "character assets female": skeleton_female.hkx skeleton_female.nif skeletonbeast_female.nif In "characters": defaultmale.hkx In "character female": defaultfemale.hkx Hope it helps.  -

Try the following without MO on: 1. Navigate to you actual skyrim\Data directory. If it has a SkyProc folder delete it (unless you did something wrong there should not be one) 2. Navigate to your MO\overwrite directory and delete the *.esp(s) associated with SkyProc (example SUM.esp). 3. In your overwrite directory is a "textures" folder that should only contain your AV textures. You might want to check, but delete it anyways. 4. In your overwrite directory is a "SkyProc Patchers" directory. Delete it. 5. Depending on your version of Windows navigate to your directory where the actual skyrim ini files are saved. In my case this is "Documents\My Games\Skyrim". There you will file a SkyProc folder. Delete it. Because AV moved your files from their installed directories into your MO\overwrite directory you will have to reinstall all the AV packages using MO and selecting REPLACE when doing so. I am not 100% certain but I do not believe you need to re-install Dual Sheath Redux or SUM, just the AV packages (someone correct me if I am wrong). Make sure that in MO they are in their proper positions (ie Automatic Variants should be first). When finished, run SUM again. For me, sometimes this fails the first time I run due to missing masters if a made changes to other mods, however, running it again fixes it. This should not be a problem for you as you deleted all the SkyProc folders in your Documents directory and MO\overwrite directory. Good luck. -
I assume you did re-verify your skyrim install through steam. Navigate to your Mod Organizer (MO) overwrite folder and delete dawngaurd.esm. Then follow then follow Neo's TES5edit 'clean' instructions for dawnguard.esm only. For SKSE you should have extracted the *.exe and *.dll files to your actual skyrim directory not using MO. For the remainder of the SKSE install you can use MO to install like any other mod, except uncheck the *.exe and *.dll files (remember to create the SKSE directory in the folder you installed SKSE and create the file skse.ini in it). Run FNIS, BOSS, Wyre Bash (to create the patch) and SUM. After doing so, run TES5edit and leave ALL files checked. If there is a problem TES5edit will not get to the end and give you a clue which mod (currently just dawnguard.esm as far as we know (AFAWK)) is giving you a problem. Assuming your problem is dawnguard.esm, there is a possibility is that you performed some of the TES5edits in-properly. Running with TES5edit with all files checked should give you a clue as to whether this is the case. If TES5edit finishes without problems, you should be able to start skyrim, unless there are other issues.
-
I would think you could just log in to steam and have it verify your files. This will replace any corrupt files. If Dawnguard.esm is corrupt in your overwrite folder (likely since that is the one Mod Organizer (MO) uses), you may have to clean that file again using SR instructions. You should not have to redo the entire guide if that is your only problem.

Do not spend that kinda money because you expect more wonders in Skyrim. ENB is rather unstable with SLI since it is not optimized for it at all. And the game can be run with a single card in the 600 (now 700) series and max out FPS without any issues. Spend smart... if you are going to spend that much on something then make sure there is a point to it! Skyrim alone is not a good point! There is a reason to spend that kind of money. People think size does matter, like penises or fancy cars, it gives one bragging rights. The truth of it is what one does with it is what counts.

Yup that is what I said. Also I noticed that the new SKSE lacks a SKSE folder in the Data folder Did you check whether or not those files are being overwritten by other mods? As someone else already mentioned, there is no SKSE directory. Either save the current one somewhere else before updating and copy it back or recreate it with a new skse.ini. -

I also upgraded to the latest SKSE. Before I did, I copied the "Skyrim Script Extender\SKSE" folder with the skse.ini somewhere else. Then I extracted the *.dll and *.exe files using 7zip (outside of Mod Organizer (MO)) to the actual skyrim directory. I then used MO to REPLACE to old SKSE directory ("Skyrim Script Extender" in my case by selecting only the Data directory with the scripts) using the SAME name and using REPLACE. I used MO to change to version number to the current one. Then I moved the SKSE folder back into my "Skyrim Script Exender" folder. I have had not issues so far. Knock on wood.:D -

You should have two files in that directory (1stpersonfemalehands_0.nif and 1stpersonfemalehands_1.nif). -

I am going to assume you installed SKSE correctly. That means extracting the *.dll and *.exe files to your actual skyrim folder and after that you extracted the remaining files using Mod Organizer (MO) into its MO folder (minus the *.dll and *.exe files). If you did this correctly, you should (as a precaution) run FNIS, BOSS, Wyre Bash, and SUM. To see where the problem may lie you can run TES5Edit with all your setting (esps and esms) activated. If there is a problem, it will quit loading there and you will know what mod is causing the problem. Wyre Bash should also tell you, but I have limited experience there. If you are running everything max textures, you will have to make compromises and use DSSopt to optimize your textures to avoid going over the 3.1 GB limit. The place to start is Skyrim Realistic Overhaul, Serious HD retexture, and Skyrim HD. But my guess is you haven't gotten there yet as skyrim won't start. -

Brawl Bugs Patch / Enhanced Blood Textures Question
DanimalTwo replied to grhuff's question in General Skyrim LE Support
If a mod is completely overwritten it appears as a grey lightning symbol. For me Brawl Bugs Patch is not completely overwritten by Enhanced Blood Textures. -
Just to be safe I run FNIS, BOSS, Wyre Bash, and SUM anytime I change any mods.

Install SUM like you would any other mod through Mod Organizer (MO). Once installed, click the 'data' tab in the right pane of MO and scroll down until you see "SkyProc Patches". Expand SkyProc Patches and SUM under that. Right click on "SUM.jar" and select "add as executable". Make sure you have to current version of JAVA. Select SUM and click run. That should work. -
The limiting factor in your setup are your graphics cards. I had a setup similar to yours with dual GTX 470 1.25GB in SLI and upgraded to a single EVA GTX 680 4GB and now have close to constent 60 FPS even with ENB. With the previous graphics cards I could not run ENB at all or I would be at 8 FPS. You will have to optimized textures though or you will easily run into the 3 GB RAM limit and CTD.

Mod Suggestions for SR - Post in STEP Mods Forum
DanimalTwo replied to z929669's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
From what I can tell have not asked in this thread before. In any case these are suggestions for Skyrim Revisited not the general S.T.E.P. guide. Isn't that what the Mod Suggestion forum is for (General S.T.E.P. mods)?I have never followed STEP. I have been following Neovalen's Skyrim Revisited only. I do know it is based on STEP, but I thought it was independent. I am not sure why the SR forum's need to be hijacked to fit into STEP, unless you are replacing STEP with SR. -
Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

I did for me. Just to make sure I deleted from the /overwrite directory and redid Wrye Bash and there it was again. I looked in the actual data directory and it is not there. It was only located in the overwrite directory. If people are having this problem and I am not, I could not tell you why. -

Vilja in Skyrim for Skyrim Revisited

I have already created the patch "VIS-RLO Patch" and have done everything up to "Warning: This mod has an ESP conflict with Sounds of Skyrim - Civilization and Realistic Lightning Overhaul". It is here that I am having problems. The instructions say: This still works, but then is says to repeat for 7 additional items. I get stuck on the first as the "VIS-RLO Patch.esp" is not there to right-click on to.
